Cara and Remi are confused. JJ tells them that Felix leaving is the best decision for their family.

JJ tells the Varga- Murphys that the whole dynamic shifts when Felix is around - he wants things to be normal again.

Harold's Cafe
Nicolette and Jane are waiting for the family court representative. Jane tells her that she and Vic have put their relationship on pause, due to his connection with Melanie. Nicolette is horrified.

No.30
Nicolette is ranting to Aaron.

NICOLETTE: On what planet are mum and Melanie love rivals?!
AARON: Melanie is a lovely person.
NICOLETTE: Yeah, OK, fine. But not for my dad!

They sit down at the table outside. Nicolette rants on about the Jane/Melanie/Vic triangle. Aaron says it's up to them to sort out.

NICOLETTE: I am not letting my mum come second to someone who drives a drinks van and implodes her life on a regular basis! Not that I'm being judgy.
AARON: Nic, you don't want Jane to be pining to your dad if he's in love with someone else!
NICOLETTE: Don't you throw that dirty little word around(!)

He suggests they get ready for the adoption interview.

Cara and Remi are concerned that JJ is basing his decision on their feelings. But JJ is adamant: their family is more important.

Lassiter's Complex
Melanie sees Nicolette and smiles. She smiles back, coldly.

Vic comes along and Nicolette grills him about Melanie/Jane. Just then, the court representative (Iris Naylor) arrives.

NICOLETTE: This is my dad, Vic. He has just reunited with my mother.
IRIS NAYLOR: Um, congratulations.
VIC: Thank you. I'll leave you to it.

Vic heads off. Melanie looks a bit stricken.

No.28
Felix has broken the news to Holly that he's leaving.

FELIX: It's JJ's decision. It's out of my hands.

Holly is not impressed and asks him to consider the tram and Andrew...and her.

HOLLY: Can you please just talk to JJ again? See if he'll change his mind.

Lassiter's Complex
Aaron is explaining to Iris that he and Nicolette are a team, but he's like to formalise things after what happened with David. If anything else happened, he wouldn't want to be worried about the paperwork.

Jane is next up. Iris says she's heard Jane has reunited with Nicolette's father and she looks a bit takenaback.

AARON: I still can't figure out if that was a friendly chat or the firing squad!
MELANIE: Can't see any bullet holes!

They chat and Melanie starts laughing with the famous laugh, much to Nicolette's annoyance.

Garden of No.26 (evening)
Andrew hands Felix a beer and sits down with him.

FELIX: I just keep hoping for some kind of sign. Something to guide me.

Just then, his phone chimes.

ANDREW:(jokingly) Ask and ye shall receive!

Felix looks at his phone.

FELIX: I think you might be right about that.
ANDREW: I was only joking.
FELIX: I'm not.

No.30
The Varga- Murphys are joking around when Felix pops round. A sudden silence descends.

FELIX: I was really looking forward to a future here in Erinsborough, but I know you wouldn't have asked me to leave unless you'd put a lot of thought into it. So, I'm going to respect your wishes.

JJ smiles.

FELIX: My church is looking for a new groundskeeper, someone to maintain the property. It's away from Erinsborough, so I'll be out of your hair.
REMI: When did that happen?
FELIX: I got a text just out of the blue offering me a job.
JJ: That's great.
FELIX: Yeah. I can be near my minister. The one who visited my prison. And just give something back after he helped me so much. Be part of a proper congregation.
DEX: So you'll be living there?
FELIX: Yeah, there's a little cottage behind the church which is part of the deal. So it's all worked out. I definitely think it was meant to be.

The 82
Nicolette, Aaron and Jan are debriefing after the adoption interview. Nic sees Vic walking by and goes out to speak to him.

Vic tells her that he needs to talk to Jane, but not now. Nicolette starts grilling him about Melanie again, until he starts getting cross.

VIC: Why are you so interested?
NICOLETTE: I guess I'm just struggling imagining you and Melanie together!
VIC: She's a wonderful person. She's smart and she's funny...

Nicolette scoffs.

VIC: ...and full of adventure.
NICOLETTE: You and Mum have *years* of history. You can't just throw that away.
VIC: Alright, thank you for your input, but I can make my own decisions when it comes to my love life!

He walks off, looking cross.

Waterhole
Felix is apologising to Karl for leaving the tram and tells Holly and Karl how much they've supported him and how grateful he is.

KARL: You should be very proud with the way you've turned things around.

He heads off.

HOLLY: Is this the part where I pretend to be happy for you?
FELIX: You aren't going to need me as much as you think you well.

He points out that she's leaning on her friends again and is in a much better place now.

HOLLY: Will you stop giving me compliments, it's making it harder for me to hate you. And I do...hate you(!) You know that, right?
FELIX: Yeah. I'm going to miss you too.

They laugh.

The 82
Nicolette is still ranting to Aaron about Jane and Melanie. He's very patiently listening to her and trying to calm her down.

AARON: Nic, what does it matter?
NICOLETTE: Because Melanie has a bad track record with other people's relationships!
AARON: No, that was *one* time and she's been trying not to make that mistake.
NICOLETTE: No, she can't help it, right, like Terese and alcohol!

Aaron looks appalled.

AARON: Really?!
NICOLETTE: OK, that was insensitive. My bad, but you do get my point!

He sighs. Aaron mentions that Melanie bought Jane muffins. Nicolette says they probably taste like guilt(!)

Harold's Cafe
JJ is explaining to Andrew why he asked Felix to leave and he understands.

As they're leaving, Jane comes in and asks Andrew for any news on Terese. He can't really say anything, but says she's helped her case by coming forward.

Vic is at a table and Jane sits down with him. He awkwardly tells her that he saw Terese drinking at the Boylesque event and hadn't realised it was an issue for her. Jane invites him to have a cup of tea with her, but he says they'd better not while they're "on pause". Jane looks a bit sad.

Lassiter's Complex, the following morning
Andrew, Holly, Karl and the Varga- Murphys are saying farewell to Felix.

FELIX: So this is goodbye again.
JJ: Thanks for doing this.

They hug.

JJ: I know it must have been a hard decision.
FELIX: Well, you've got two parents who are experts at putting your needs first. I just took a leaf out of their book. But if you ever need anything...

He indicates that JJ should call him.

HOLLY: Oh just go already, stop being such a drama queen about it!
FELIX: Call you later, Holly- pop.
HOLLY: Not if I call you first!

He waves and gets into his taxi which drives off.

Lassiter's Complex (later)
Remi and Cara are pleased that JJ seems a bit more at peace with Felix now. Remi tells Cara that she's still open to having another baby, although not with Felix. They tell each other that they love each other.

Remi calls JJ and Dex over and tells them that they need to take the family trip to New York! They are excited.

Lassiter's Complex (even later)
Nicolette sees Melanie at a table and goes over to tell her that she's had a lucky escape from Vic(!) He's always had a wandering eye and isn't capable of change(!)

NICOLETTE: Melanie, I didn't want to tell you this, but I know for a fact that Dad was hooking up with other women at the same time as chatting with you. I'm sorry. I know you wanted him to have changed but he just won't. Honestly, you shouldn't be surprised, I mean, you're not his type.

Melanie looks upset.

Coming up on Neighbours
- Susan and Karl tell Harold that there's a bit of unrest at Eirini Rising.
- Melanie tells Krista that she thought Vic had changed.
- Krista thinks Melanie should at least talk to Vic.
- Nicolette tells Vic that he loves Jane and he should go back to her before it's too late.
