- Nell telling JJ that she likes him… a lot!
- JJ making it clear to Nell that he wants them to be just mates!
- Jane admitting she left the key in the connecting door.

- Sam asking Jane if she's spoken to Mike but they keep missing each other.
Number 24
Jane is encouraging Vic to make a list of things he wants to do when Sam interrupts to say she's spoken with Mike. This news means he's now reached his destination, so Jane remarks she will try and call.
SAM: It's not that hard.
Byron notices that his dad is looking better, which he is, and he talks Jane into coming on a neighbourhood walk with him after she finishes working.
Sam pulls Byron aside to ask for his help on something.
Eirini Rising
Harold and Hilary drop by to report some things have gone missing - one of his slippers and 5 of her left shoes! Terese hopes it isn't another prank by the kids but promises to get back to them after doing some investigations.
Number 24
Whatever Sam was needing from Byron, its taking place at 3.30 at the school gates where they've told Jane to be at. Of course this means she will have to postpone the planned walk with Vic. However, Vic still wants to go on a walk and instead ropes Nicolette into going with him.
Erinsborough High
Terese corners Jane to check the master key to the connecting door is secure, explaining about the missing shoes. Jane is more than confident she's looking in the wrong place as the master key is secure in her drawer.
In the corridor, Nell has been chatting to Jasmine and after seeing Terese 'confront' Jane, Jasmine remarks to Nell that "your stepmum's kind of scary for someone who's so tiny!" Nell agrees but adds to that Terese's "advice sucks" but refuses to say more when asked.
Terese pulls Nell aside and as she does, Jasmine deposits the master key into a locker - Nell's one??
Inside a classroom, Nell explains to Terese why she has a face on - she told JJ how she felt "and it ruined everything." Terese genuinely feels sorry for the lass especially given she doesn't know what she did wrong. "You didn't do anything wrong," Terese is quick to reassure her with as "there's no right way of telling somebody you like them that'll guarantee that they say it back."
TERESE: It's a leap of faith. And I'm proud of you for taking it.
NELL: Well it feels horrible and I'm never doing it again.
"Don't say that!" Terese warns and admits that rejection "doesn't hurt less as you get older."
NELL: Then why would I ever put myself though this again?
TERESE: Because one day when the time is right, you will meet somebody who cares about you as deeply as you care about them. And I promise you Nell, you don't want to miss that.
NELL: (tearily) I really wanted that person to be JJ.
Terese pulls Nell in for a much needed hug.
Eirini Rising (outside)
A courier mistakes Susan for one of the residents when he runs into her outside by the café looking for the entrance.
Meanwhile, the way JJ is taking his frustration out on the poor leaves he is sweeping up, has caught the attention of the passing Haz who is on his way to see Harold. JJ stops Haz and fills him in on Nell admitting she likes him but "Dex has a crush on Nell" so he said he "didn't feel that way about her, even though I do."
JJ: And…I just feel like garbage.
Haz can't believe that JJ plans on putting his brother's happiness ahead of his/Nell's. "He's my little brother, what else am I supposed to do," is JJ's rationale. Haz's advice is to have an "honest chat" with his brother and "lay it all out" however JJ thinks doing that will causes Dex embarrassment.
HAZ: Embarrassment is much easier to bounce back from than you'd think. And if Dex realises that he's stepped in the middle of something, you might find that he's as willing to bow out for you as you are for him.
Haz leaves JJ pondering too that if he comes clean, Dex might realise "that he's stepped in the middle of something, you might find that he's as willing to bow out for you as you are for him."
Bridal shop
So the surprise Sam (and Byron) have set Jane up with is to pick her wedding dress! Jane isn't exactly enthralled to be in a bridal shop especially given they haven't even set a date yet! Sam thinks that picking a dress will help decide things.
While Sam goes to talk with the assistant (apparently she pulled some strings to get the appointment) it then comes to Jane why Sam has done this - she has become insecure since Vic has come on the scene. Jane is still more than eager for the wedding (to Mike) to happen and be a family with Sam that she decides not to do a runner!
Eirini Rising (Harold's apartment)
Haz takes the opportunity to head off after chatting with Harold when they hear the door knock - it is Karl who is the caller to try he is calling to try and persuade Harold to be the resident representative. Harold reluctantly agrees to think about it but more to get rid of Karl especially given he has another visitor - Remi round to do a home visit! Karl's nose looks distinctively out of joint at hearing why she is there!
Bridal shop
Jane isn't exactly enthralled with the dress she has tried on but plays along with trying more on to try and find the right one. Sam looks to have had a blast though!
Number 24
"I just don't know where to start," Nicolette admits when Vic forces her to try and pick something he can invest in. "Time is of the essence here," Vic reminds her and to get things going, he wants to start brainstorming, beginning with Nicolette writing down on the flipchart paper what her strengths are.
NICOLETTE: Oh dad, we're going to need a bigger book than this… Byron we can probably fit on what, a post it note!
Number 30
JJ has taken Haz's advice and is ready for his "man to man" chat with his brother
DEX: Why are you being weird?
JJ: I'm not being weird, I'm being mature. Which is how we should be when discussing girls we like.
Dex correctly guesses it's about Nell, however before JJ can get it in that he likes her, Dex wants his advice on how "to ask her over to watch Demon Slayer, not as a date, but with room for it to become a date."
DEX: I just don't know how to bring it up. I get nervous.
JJ bits his tongue and doesn't say what he really planned to, instead giving Dex an ice- breaker - some folder (about Anime/Magma drawings) he bought for Dex but that Nell would love too.
Bridal shop
Looks like Jane has found the dress to wear and Byron reassures he that "Mike will love it." However when Jane goes into the changing room she doesn't exactly look happy.
Eirini Rising
Offscreen Karl has been talking to Susan about Harold choosing Remi to be his doctor and her advice is to go chat about it with Harold. However their chat is interrupted when Terese (and Harold) enter as the thief has been back and this time its Harold's tuba that has been stolen! Terese suggests an immediate search to find it (and hopefully the missing shoes are there too!) but when Karl goes to join in, Harold rejects the help offered!
Number 24
Nicolette has finished her SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis and Vic intends to use this to make a detailed spreadsheet to enable them to match up potential businesses that are for sale.
Their chat plan though is interrupted when Nicolette gets a text - it's a pic of Jane in her wedding dress. While Nicolette looks happy/emotional at seeing her mum in it, Vic is the total opposite other than to realise that the wedding planning must be getting serious. He asks Nicolette what Mike is like and her reply is that he "needs to stop putting his career first and get home to his fiancée!" She then reclarifies that Mike is "a really stand- up guy" and adds that she's "never seen mum so happy." "I'm glad to hear it" and "she deserves it" Vic just about manages to choke out in reply!
Eirini Rising (Harold's apartment)
Taking Susan's advice, Karl calls round to have a chat with Harold. While Harold is grateful that Karl acknowledges he has a right to choose another doctor to treat him (with no hard feelings), he hasn't gone with Remi for why Karl thinks. It turns out that should anything go wrong with Harold's health, he wants Karl there "by my side, but as my dear friend, not as my doctor."
HAROLD: Oh I will need you Karl.
KARL: I will always be there.
They clear they air just in time for the next caller to Harold's - its Hilary after their votes to be the resident representative.
Ramsay Street
While JJ plays basketball in the background, Nell is happy to hear that Dex is officially on the mend now. He then hands over the binder as a thank you for her visiting him in hospital and she is well chuffed at the gift, giving him a hug as a thanks. As she didn't see visiting him as a chore, he asks her to join him watch Demon Slayer from the start, which she seems happy to participate in, so asks him to let her know when he plans to start watching.
When Nell heads off, Dex gives his brother the thumbs up and while its acknowledged, you can see its more a case of lip service than genuine happiness.
Number 24
Nicolette is surprised not to see Jane carrying in the wedding dress she tried on when they return home. Jane explains that she didn't want to splash money out in case she sees something else instead. Sam is confident that she won't find another dress and will go back for that one!
Jane sincerely thanks Sam for organising the afternoon and agrees with her when she says "bring on the wedding" but of course that would mean speaking to Mike and actually agreeing on a date!!
Meanwhile, Nicolette explains to Byron what she and Vic were up to while they were out and she's decided on what the family business should be - something in hospitality [we don't hear anymore than that]. And while the Stones are chatting, in background, Jane tries facetime Mike.
Eirini Rising (exterior)
Terese and Susan have had no luck trying to find Harold's tuba nor the shoes. Given the security the development has and the master keys for the connecting door are all accounted for, Susan can't see the thief being anyone but a resident.
When Terese heads back inside, Susan hangs back outside to send an email and moments later a bunch of hoodied kids exit the building hurriedly and push Susan to the ground before running off. When Susan tries to get up, she finds she can't and is forced to shout for help as when she was pushed, her mobile was knocked from her hand.
Coming up on Neighbours
- Nicolette quizzing her mum about Mike.
- The "For Sale board" going up outside No.32.
- Terese questioning herself.
