- Wendy and Andrew disappointed in Sadie even after acknowledging they've set a bad example.
- Sadie after a hug from Byron.
- Toadie revealing to Terese that Melanie admitted to wanting him back.
- Terese wondering why Toadie was holding out on her.
- Toadie telling Melanie to stop.
- Terese driving off after seeing Toadie talk to Melanie.
- Andrew looking at pictures of someone and getting a letter from Warrinor prison.
Number 26
As the conversation unfolds, we find out that the writer of the letter was Andrew's brother Felix who got sent to prison for being involved in some robberies and has been inside for 18 months. On a sidenote too, we discover that Andrew and Felix aren't blood brothers, Andrew was adopted.
Felix is after Andrew's help to get him parole and have a roof over his head. However, Andrew doesn't think it would be a good look "to have a criminal staying under his roof." Wendy is doing her very best to talk her husband round but has a worried look on her face when he then announces that there is something else she needs to know!
Number 28
Having been there and got the t- shirt alongside her mum, Holly is trying to stop Melanie following in their footsteps from being on the "self- destructive spiral over an unattainable man." Melanie though is still holding a grudge over the fact Holly spoke to her dad, even though it was done with good intentions.
HOLLY: There are other men out there okay. Ones that you don't have to play dirty to get. You deserve one of those.
Number 26
The revelation Andrew has is something that was mentioned in Phillipa's diary - in there, it mentioned that Felix lied to his brother about attending a party… this party was the same night where Andrew pulled out of being the sperm donor and apparently Felix offered himself instead. It is just after this where the pages in Phillipa's diary are missing. The penny eventually drops for Wendy that Felix could be JJ's dad! Andrew though doesn't have the proof to say anything to the VM's but from the looks on both their faces, they think the chances of that are high.
Back Lane Bar
Its been a while since we've seen this set and the younger RSRs are having a great time… well almost! Holly isn't happy that she isn't with a guy, especially since you can barely get a millimetre between Haz and Mackenzie on the dance floor!
Byron takes great offence at Holly using modern methods to hook up with someone and wants her (along with Sadie) up on the dancefloor after he returns with the next round to find "somebody to at least flirt with!"
While he is away, Holly spots someone she likes and plans to make her move if the guy heads to the dancefloor. Sadie is impressed at Holly's speed and barely seconds later is left alone at the table as Holly goes off to make her move.
Number 22
Toadie is getting worked up at the radio silence from Terese as he sits in the sunroom with Karl although he is sure that she will return when she is ready to. Toadie is literally ready to burst and comes clean to him about feeling something in the aftermath of Melanie's big declaration. He adds that he hasn't said anything to Terese either as he doesn't know how to explain it to her but more so because "I don't even know what the hell's going on!" The penny drops for Karl now as to why Melanie thinks there is still hope.
TOADIE: I don't want her to have hope!!! I love Terese. I want to be with her.
KARL: But on some level, you are conflicted.
TOADIE: Well, you know, she was my wife!
Karl can't tell Toadie what he has to do, however does warn him that he needs "to think very carefully about your next move."
Just as Karl finishes saying that, the pair of them hear footsteps - Terese is home. Karl's partying words to the pair before he heads home to get ready for his trip to Sydney to see Susan is for them to "look after yourselves."
Back Lane Bar
Other than the loved- up Haz and Mackenzie, Holly is the only one to have been successful in getting some numbers!
Number 22
Toadie gets straight to the point, acknowledging to Terese that he messed up and hurt her, something he promised "that I would never do."
TOADIE: It's you that I want to be with. All right? Not Melanie. It's you.
Terese replies with an almost nonchalant "okay" and Toadie seems thrown by that! In turn, she taunts him by saying that she went to see Paul as she needed "to vent to somebody" and "get everything off my chest."
TERESE: And he was willing to listen. I mean, after all he does still love me.
Again, almost taunting Toadie, Terese asks how that makes him feel and Toadie's reply is "not great."
TERESE: Now, imagine if I had done that.
TOADIE: (confused) You didn't go to Paul?
TERESE: No. But it's not very nice thinking that I did… is it?!
TOADIE: I am sorry Terese.
TERESE: Hmmm. Yeah. So you should be.
Back Lane Bar
Mackenzie and Sadie are trying to persuade Holly to get back out there and find a guy but she has a mission (along with Mackenzie) to find someone instead for Sadie! Their mission is now even more important when after a bit of discussion between the ladies, it emerges that Sadie hasn't had sex. However their conversation about it is quickly curtailed after the guys return with more shots.
Number 22
Toadie is doing his level best to try and get back into the good books with the wife but she's too exhausted to talk more and she also plans on sleeping in the spare room too! However, before she manages to get upstairs, Toadie stops her to say he "really wants to work through this but I can't get there on my own."
Number 28
With the 'dramatic music' playing in the background, Melanie gets out wedding rings and goes to put them on. She's barely got them past her nail when she stops, pulls them off and starts to cry.
Number 26 (next day)
After waking up to find a text from Sadie saying she was staying at #32, Wendy wonders if she is deliberately avoiding her parents! "It's hard to tell at her age," Andrew comments back before telling Wendy to stop stressing! He however has other things on his mind - his brother and has decided on visiting him in Warrinor. Andrew also plans on asking him about the sperm donation so he can cross that bridge if necessary.
Number 32 (garden)
Sadie should have brought some Irn Bru for Mackenzie and Holly to help with their hangovers when she joins them at the pool while they wait for the guys to return with brekkie.
Given what she told them last night, Sadie goes to continue that conversation but is stopped from doing so as "its actually none of our business." Sadie admits that she is ready to TITTNL and was waiting for a relationship to allow that to happen but has decided she is "done waiting!"
SADIE: I'm ready to lose it! I just wanna have a beautiful first- time experience with someone who's nice.
HOLLY: Well hello, that's a problem we can solve.
Warrinor prison
Andrew heads to the table where his brother Felix is patiently waiting. He is a bit standoffish with Felix and is told to "lighten up!" Given Andrew has come to visit, Felix is taking that as a good sign Andrew is considering his request as he is more than ready to get out… again! "I can't have any trouble," Andrew warns him with.
FELIX: Look, all I wanna do is spend time with my brother, and his wife and his daughter. You're the only family who's still willing to talk to me. I've missed you all.
ANDREW: I've missed you too.
Number 32 (garden)
Since she feels like she let her parents down, Sadie is hanging out at #32 to avoid going home and letting them see she is hungover. Byron reassures their "honorary housemate" that she can continue to hang out there and gives her a quick reassuring hug before heading back inside.
Holly witnessed the hug and can't get to the table quick enough to quiz Sadie on it! "It's just Byron being Byron," Sadie replies with but Holly suggests to her that there might be more!
Number 22
With the aptly named 'Often broken' playing, Toadie comes downstairs to see if Terese wants to go grab some food only to find a note on the island from her explaining she needs more time to clear her head.
Music montage
With the music continuing, Melanie goes to put the tiger dress in the bin but then seems to have second thoughts.
Meanwhile Terese sits on the sand outside some of the colourful beach huts on Brighton Beach.
Back with Melanie and with a determined look on her face, she heads back to her room with the dress.
At #22, Toadie meanwhile looks at photos of himself and Terese in happier times at Brighton Beach.
Warrinor prison
Andrew has been telling Felix about how grown up Sadie now is by having a job and going out drinking… and he promises not to be "a bad influence on her… most of the time!"
FELIX: I'm joking! Joking!!! I would never corrupt Sadie!
Getting back to the other reason for the visit, Andrew asks if he remembers Phillipa Wade? Felix does and knows that she has died and when Andrew mentions the sperm donation, asks why he is bringing that up. Andrew goes onto explain about the diary, the link with JJ and that after the party there are pages missing from the diary.
ANDREW: I'm just checking. You didn't go through with it, did you?
FELIX: (scoffing) Absolutely not! Hey, if I had a kid, I know he'd be awesome but we both know I'd make a terrible father, even anonymously.
Andrew looks very relived at what he has just heard whereas Felix, despite what he's just said looks rather worried!
Brighton Beach
Terese is still sitting on the bench when Toadie spots her - he put 2+2 together after looking at the photos. The lyrics of the song (Lighthouse) seem very apt with what is being played out onscreen - Toadie sits down next to his wife (but leaves a bit of a gap) before reading over for he hand, which she readily takes it in hers.
Number 26
Andrew is barely in the front door when he tells Wendy that Felix didn't donate his swimmers… oh and yes, it was "really great to see him." Despite his brother being wayward, he is happy to have him around and subject to involving Sadie in the conversation, he is open to having Felix stay at #26.
Warrinor prison
As Felix is making his way back to his cell, he stops and pulls out a letter that has been sent to him… one from Phillipa!
Number 26
Andrew is making plans with Wendy for when Felix is there, over how they can keep him "on the straight and narrow" but isn't going to trust him "until I see it." Wendy at least will be supporting him, that is what families are for.
ANDREW: Maybe it would be nice. Me, you, Sadie and Felix.
WENDY: And no surprise kids!
ANDREW: No surprise kids! Philippa's diary is a pandora's box I never want to open again!
Wendy is more than in agreement with her husband on that part!
Warrinor prison
And we cut back to the prison and see that Felix is re- reading Phillipa's letter… it's the missing pages of her diary! In it we can see that Felix did agree to become her sperm donor and she is 'so freaking happy' and that her 'baby dream is alive and well'.
He then turns to another page and Phillipa writes that she feels terrible about not telling Cara where the sperm came from! It now looks like we know who JJ's daddy is!!!
Coming up on Neighbours
- Sadie being very complimentary about Byron!
- Felix asking Andrew questions about Cara.
- Slade coming upon JJ inside the school
