Toadie tells Terese he didn't plan this. Karl was out so Toadie couldn't talk to him as intended. Terese isn't impressed he shared things with Melanie instead. It happened that way as Melanie was lending a sympathetic ear.

TERESE: Be honest. You wanted to talk to her.
TOADIE: I didn't lie about this.
TERESE: I can't tell if you're lying to me or to yourself.

Toadie denies that he's being dishonest. He agrees he shouldn't have talked to Melanie about their marital problems and apologises for doing so. He promises not to repeat this mistake. Terese realises she did wrong and feels guilty visiting Paul and not telling Toadie. She decided to tell him but realises he didn't plan to tell her. Toadie tells her that was what he arrived home to do and the flowers were out of guilt.

TOADIE: I don't want us to have secrets either.

Terese wants to know what else he has to tell her. Toadie noticed Melanie had her wedding ring on and commented on it. Melanie admitted to having feelings for him and wants to get Toadie back. Toadie left at that point.

Outside Harold's Cafe
Krista planned to help Paul by bringing David's idea into fruition. She tells Leo she didn't plan to hurt Paul. Leo knows that but Krista tells him Chelsea doesn't agree.

LEO: No one who matters cares what she has to say.

Chelsea comes past but ignores them. Krista thinks Chelsea could be lying still. Leo suggests that Krista talks to Paul, Krista points out that Chelsea is always sniffing around. She isn't doing that at the moment so Leo suggests Krista talks to Paul now.

Wendy comes into the front room and notices Andrew seems distracted.

WENDY: It's like I caught you doing something naughty.

Andrew denies there is anything going on and needs to head to work. Wendy is suspicious and looks through the photo album he left on the table. It seems to be family pictures.

Penthouse
Krista wants to talk about him cancelling the Lie- in Event as it's tacky. Paul doesn't have any idea what she's talking about. He's happy to go with Chelsea's thinking though as he 'trusts her judgement'. Krista doesn't agree.

KRISTA: The hotel needs this promotion. It has the potential to bring in a lot of business.

Krista wants it to bring everyone together and enjoy themselves after everything that's happened. Paul is still standing by Chelsea's decision. Krista reminds him that David thought up the idea. Leo and Krista want to do it for David. Paul wants to know if Leo will move home if Paul agrees to the idea. Krista wants to leave the decision to Leo. Paul knows it's quiet without them and Paul is needing them.

KRISTA: You're gonna have to earn Leo's forgiveness.

Paul is unsure if he can manage that. Krista isn't able to tell if that's possible. Leo is grieving his brother but Krista doesn't know what will happen in the future.

KRISTA: You're still his father. Nothing can change that. Even when things were at their worst with my Dad, he was still my Dad.

Harold's Cafe
Andrew is sitting thinking on the sofa. Haz comes and tells him the carpark has been vandalised. He apologises for interrupting Andrew on his break. Everyone is getting flat tires as screws have gone everywhere. Haz can't prove it but thinks it's the same kids.

ANDREW: I was hoping they would do the smart thing and back off after being charged.
HAZ: I don't think being smart is their thing.

Haz wonders if their families are taking notice of what they're doing. Andrew thinks families are only able to do so much and doesn't think Haz should be judgemental! Andrew realises he's been harsh and apologises. Andrew's frustrated about his limits. Andrew will go and deal with it.

Ramsay Street
Wendy gets her post, she notices Terese is in her car and goes over to her. Terese admits to not being ok.

No.26 Backyard
Wendy realises Terese is feeling hurt and not respected. Terese realises Andrew hasn't mentioned anything to Wendy. Wendy thinks that Andrew would have relayed anything Toadie told him.

WENDY: Toadie can't control what Mel says or does, but he really should have told you.
TERESE: Makes you wonder why he didn't, doesn't it?

Wendy understands where Terese is coming from. Terese tells Wendy they've talked through everything up till now and been honest with each other. Wendy doesn't think Melanie can decide to have Toadie back after leaving him. Terese thinks Melanie feels justified in fighting for Toadie. Wendy thinks Melanie is being selfish about this.

WENDY: She's trying to ruin your marriage.

Wendy points out that Melanie is messing up the family's happiness. Terese doesn't want to lose Nell and Hugo.

Lassiter's Reception
Krista meets Chelsea as she comes out of the lift. Krista tells her about the meeting, Chelsea is surprised as there was no planned meeting. Krista delights in telling Chelsea that Paul was fine about the Lie- in. Chelsea claims that Paul was against it but okays it if Paul is happy with the idea. Krista hands Chelsea the paperwork and confirms that Paul has agreed to the ideas and agreed additional funds.

KRISTA: I assured him the event will be classy and respectful. My family owns half of this hotel.
CHELSEA: Thanks for the reminder.

No.28
Karl has been on the phone to Susan arranging to visit her for a few weeks in Sydney. They'll return at the same time. Karl wants to take holidays now as he'll be very busy when Eirene Rising opens. Melanie wants to know what Susan plans to do when she returns. Karl tells her that Susan is in the process of working that out. Karl gently reminds Melanie that the idea behind Melanie staying them was that everyone would aim to do the right thing. Karl realises that things have changed. Holly told Karl about Melanie and Toadie's chat.

KARL: I am very disappointed you would make things tough for them.

Karl trails off as Toadie arrives. Toadie wants a private chat with Melanie so Karl excuses himself.

Toadie agitatedly tells Melanie he was wrong to talk to her about his marriage problems.

TOADIE: I can't imagine how you used it.

Toadie tells her Terese is really feeling upset. Melanie tells him that Terese said Melanie was being alluring and pathetic. Melanie was honest with Terese. Toadie talked to Melanie as she happened to be there, nothing else. Melanie thinks there's more to it. He wants Melanie to quit her game playing. She wants to know if Toadie was honest about having feelings for Melanie, Toadie isn't able to answer.

TOADIE: Stop. Please. It's over.

Lassiter's Carpark
Nicolette is trying to fix her car wheels and groans in frustration. Andrew offers to help her out and she accepts. She apologises for being so annoyed over it, he's not bothered. She admits she borrowed Byron's car without permission so this will be fun to explain! Andrew thinks Byron will be ok about it, Nicolette agrees. He seems distracted as he changes the tires.

Ramsay Street
Terese sees Toadie coming out of No.28. He tries to talk to her but she walks away. He tries to explain. She ignores him and gets in her car and drives off.

Outside The Waterhole
Paul approaches Leo and wants to talk about the Lie- in Event. He now knows from Krista how much the event means to Leo. Paul is now fully supporting the event. They plan to incorporate all of David's ideas and not worry about the cost. Leo packs up, Paul wants him to move home as he misses him and Abby.

LEO: I miss my brother. You lost the right to be part of my life when you took David away from me.

Paul tries to explain himself but Leo wants him to stay away. Paul gets upset as Chelsea arrives and is sympathetic. She suggests they return to the Penthouse.

Harold's Cafe
Wendy arrives, Haz hopes that the screws thrown everywhere didn't affect her. She was advised by Andrew to leave her car at home. Haz thought this was affecting Andrew as he snapped. Wendy is surprised as that's unusual for him, Haz agrees.

No.28
Holly greets a miserable Melanie. She realises Melanie isn't happy with her talking to Karl about what happened with Toadie. Melanie thought she was able to trust Holly. Holly felt out of her depth and needed to talk to someone. Karl was the best option. Melanie thinks it was too much for anyone to be there to support her. Holly will stick up for her. Karl intervenes and Holly heads off.

KARL: It's not about taking sides.
MELANIE: It doesn't feel like that from here.

Karl wants her to be happy but doesn't want her to meddle in Toadie and Terese's marriage. Karl thinks it's tragic what Melanie has been through.

KARL: You can't recapture the past by wrecking Toadie's present. What kind of foundation would that be to build on? What kind of message would it send to Nell and Hugo?
MELANIE: I still love him so much. (She is crying.)
KARL: I know it's hard. We're not supposed to hurt the ones we love.

Penthouse
Paul tells Chelsea he thought it might help reconnect with Leo if he gives the Lie- in event the go ahead. Chelsea thinks Krista gave Paul no choice in the matter. Chelsea tells him she's been handling everything to protect him. She is going to get him to get people to only do meetings through appointments from now on. She wants him to call her if someone sneaks up to the Penthouse. He quietly agrees.

CHELSEA: It's gonna get better. I promise.

Paul doesn't seem convinced. She suggests he gives her a title to help things along, like Acting Manager. He mutely agrees. He agrees for her to word the document and he'll sign it.

Power Road
Leo tells Andrew that the Grease Monkeys staff saw kids in hoodies. They didn't see their faces. Andrew doesn't think he can nail the gang for this. He thinks it's them. He tells Leo how Nicolette reacted. She didn't seem to need this on top of everything else. Leo and Abby are going to see Kim in Sydney so will speak to Nicolette when he gets back. Andrew shares his condolences.

ANDREW: I've never lost a sibling so I can only imagine how that must feel.
LEO: It's like part of me is missing. Every morning when I wake up and think I'll never see my brother again.

No.22
It's now the evening. Toadie is watching the telly and hears the car door shut. He looks out of the window and carries on waiting. Toadie checks his phone. He's messaged and called Terese wanting to talk and she hasn't answered. He rings again wanting to check she's ok. He knows he's caused the upset. He'll wait here for her.

No.26
Wendy is sitting on the sofa holding the photo album as Andrew arrives home. She tells him she noticed him looking at the album. He apologises for snapping at her and feeling bad during the day. She mentions what Haz said. She realised the link with the photo album when Haz mentioned the gang of kids.

WENDY: Why are you thinking about him all of a sudden?

Andrew hands her a letter that arrived that morning. It's addressed to Andrew and has the Warrinor Prison address.
