Winery
Chloe wakes up on the office couch, disorientated, and only wearing Leo's coat. She calls out for Leo a few times before shuffling into the next room and finding her clothes discarded on the table. She tries to call Leo on her phone but gets his voicemail.

Number 32
Aaron tells David that Chloe didn't come home last night - the spare bed is still made with hospital corners, which isn't Chloe's forte. Speak of the devil, Chloe walks in and says she ended up spending the night at the winery because she was too tired to drive. David doesn't buy her story, though, and frustratedly says they made her lie to Nicolette just so she could slack off and day drink with Leo. Chloe replies that she doesn't need their judgement right now and asks if they've seen Leo this morning.

DAVID: You two are unbelievable. Nic deserves so much better than this.
CHLOE: Okay, last time I checked you were my brother-in-law, not my dad. I don't need this attitude, I just need to know where Leo is.
DAVID: (over it) I need a shower. Feel free to go home to your fiancee.
AARON: (after David leaves) You need to check yourself, Chlo. Where do you get off talking to David like that after we went and stuck our necks out for you?
CHLOE: Is Leo here or not?
AARON: No he's not here. Why are you so desperate to find him?
CHLOE: (quietly) I think I've done something stupid.

Number 24
Nicolette is in a great mood after getting eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. She credits it to the tea Maya gave her, but Jane thinks that having the bed to herself probably helped too. Jane then admits to Nicolette and Clive that she had a restless night herself worrying about her film festival script. Clive says after he's done a fertiliser run at the nursery, they should think about who they want to cast in the film, particularly the narrator role. Jane, however, thinks Clive would be perfect for that part and encourages him to audition. But when he reads a line from Jane's script, Jane and Nicolette realise how terrible he is.

Number 32 Backyard
Aaron's in disbelief that Chloe can't recall what happened last night. "Have you met wine, Aaron? It does that," Chloe retorts. She then says she's trying very hard not to puke right now and it's not just down to the hangover. She tells Aaron that when she woke up she was only wearing Leo's jacket and thinks she might have slept with him. Aaron can't believe his ears and says David's going to freak out, but Chloe says she can't be 100 per cent sure that it actually occurred. She also doesn't want to worry Nicolette and David until she knows what really happened, but Aaron doesn't want to keep the truth from his husband. One thing is for certain: Chloe needs to talk to Leo.

Sonya's Nursery
Toadie makes juice for Mackenzie, Sheila and Kyle and thanks them for helping him out. They chat about the film festival and Mackenzie says she's thinking about entering. Toadie is too, but when Clive appears, Toadie says they'll have stiff competition with Jane and Clive's film in the running. Kyle asks what Jane's film is about, but Clive says he's not at liberty to say. Kyle jokingly wonders if that means it's R-rated, which starts Toadie off on an American movie voiceover spiel. Clive looks at Toadie in awe, believing he may have just found Jane a narrator.

Number 24
Nicolette is delighted when Chloe arrives home and gives her a hug, saying she's just in time for breakfast. Eyeing the lavish spread with green gills, Chloe tries to look enthusiastic about it without puking. Nic says she made brekkie because she's appreciative of Chloe giving up her bed last night so she could get a restful night's sleep. "You brides to be are positively glowing," Jane pipes up with a smile. Jane then gets a call from Clive and takes it into her room. Nicolette wants to hear all about the winery event last night with Leo, but Chloe plays it down and says it was just a boring work thing, nothing more. Nicolette takes their breakfast out the back to eat, giving Chloe some privacy to throw up into the sink, looking incredibly guilty afterwards.

Number 32
Aaron informs David that Chloe has left and Leo isn't home either. David becomes concerned when Aaron says he's been trying to reach Leo and asks what's happened. Not wanting to lie to David, Aaron warns him not to freak out or shoot the messenger.

AARON: I think Chloe and Leo may have slept together.
DAVID: What do you mean 'might have'?
AARON: Well she can't remember, she said she was too drunk.

Looking very, very weary, David grabs his phone and tries Leo's number for himself.

DAVID: I'm going to kill him.
AARON: No, look, I said we don't know yet.
DAVID: We do know. They spent the night together and Leo's disappeared because he can't face it.

David gets Leo's voicemail and hangs up, angrily saying that he should have trusted his gut last night and drove to the winery instead of listening to his husband. Aaron reminds David they're supposed to be on the same team, but David knew this would happen: "What do you expect with two irresponsible, self-centred children? And Leo was already circling." He wonders what they're supposed to say to Nicolette now. It looks as though they'll have to work that out soon, as Nicolette suddenly appears in the kitchen and asks what all the goss is about.

Number 24
Chloe looks at a photo of herself and Fay, quickly putting it back down when Jane walks into the room. But Jane can see Chloe's missing her mum and kindly says she can always talk to her if something's wrong. "We are family now and I want to be there for you just as I am for Nicolette," Jane adds, steering Chloe to the couch for a chat.

CHLOE: You know how you talked about relationships bringing out the good and bad in people? Well you were right. With Nic there is way more good than bad. But I think with me it might be the other way around.
JANE: I have to disagree. But I may understand how you're feeling given that I've been in that situation myself. Being divorced, contemplating the idea of remarrying, it's daunting. Through good and bad I have faith that whatever problems life might throw at you, you will find your way through together.

As Chloe contemplates this, the camera focuses on a photo of Nicolette and Chloe from the baby shower.

Number 32
Aaron (and a reluctant David) have lied to Nicolette, telling her that Chloe wants to spend one more night at their place so Nicolette can get another good night's rest. While Nicolette's not too keen, she could see why Chloe might want another night of peace away from a "restless pregnant lady". Aaron offers her some breakfast, but Nicolette says she actually popped around to see if they think everything's okay with Chloe and Leo. There's a brief but tense look exchanged between the boys.

DAVID: What do you mean?
NICOLETTE: Well she was just super unenthusiastic about yesterday's event, and Leo skipped out on the engagement party. I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.
AARON: Look, I wouldn't worry about it. They seem a-okay to us. I'd just put it down to start-up stress really.
NICOLETTE: Yeah you're probably right. I just wanted to do my due diligence as a good fiancee.

Nic then gets a text from Jane and says she's been beckoned home to help out with a movie making job. Once Nicolette leaves, David mutters that things are only getting worse: "Why did you have to lie to her again?" But Aaron says he had to come up with something since they still don't know the truth. David warns Aaron that he's only going along with things until Leo tells them what happened.

Number 24
Jane and Clive are happy Nicolette's helping them with the editing, but Nic reminds them she's only watched half a YouTube tutorial. They let her know they snuck into the vineyard yesterday and set some cameras up to get time lapse footage of atmospheric shots. Clive then asks Jane to take a break and go to the nursery with him - there's something he wants her to see, but he'll explain more on the way there. Nicolette sits down with the laptop and plays the footage, seeing Chloe's car pull up at the winery around 8:30am, then Leo's car around 9:20am. She innocently continues to watch along.

Lassiters Complex
Chloe leaves another voicemail for Leo, letting him know she's quite stressed about him not answering any texts or calls and needs him to contact her ASAP. David and Aaron find her and ask if she's heard from Leo. When Chloe says no, David thinks that gives them their answer on what happened last night.

CHLOE: Not necessarily.
DAVID: Well he's either too guilty to face you or too scared to face me.
CHLOE: You are pretty scary.
AARON: Chlo, not time for jokes.
CHLOE: I know, I'm not joking. Both of you should be mad at both of us. We've put you in a really shocking position.
DAVID: You know we just lied for you again?
CHLOE: Aaron texted. Thank you.
DAVID: Save your thanks. We asked Nicolette to be completely transparent. We owe her the same. The second one of us talks to Leo and gets the facts, you're talking to Nicolette.
CHLOE: (nodding) Whatever did or didn't happen, she needs to know. I've made a mess and I'm going to clean it up.

Sonya's Nursery
Clive admits to Jane that he hasn't got any talent for narration, that's why he thinks they should audition Toadie (without him knowing it's an audition), to see if he's right for the part. Telling her to follow his lead, Clive takes Jane over to Toadie and says he wanted Jane to hear Toad's "hilarious film trailer" he did before. Toadie's reluctant to "reheat old meat", but Sheila encourages him to make one up about her. With Sheila, Mackenzie, Clive and Jane looking on, Toadie does another OTT voiceover. Jane and Clive swap an intrigued glance with each other.

Harold's Café
Nicolette tells David and Aaron that editing Jane's footage is boring her to tears. It's all of the same spot, and they were filming there all day. But it did give her a nice idea for something to do on the weekend - a family lunch at the winery with the three of them, Chloe and Leo. Looking uncomfortable, Aaron and David pretend they just remembered they have something else on. "I thought you were keeping your calendars free for me and bub?" Nicolette says, put out. Aaron apologises and says they'll do it another time. Nicolette accepts this for now, but when she goes to the counter to order, she glances suspiciously at the boys.

Sonya's Nursery
Clive and Jane are now trying to get Sheila to do a trailer voiceover, making her confused. Sheila doesn't think she can do it like Toadie, so Jane feeds her a line from her play. Toadie overhears and soon figures out they're secretly auditioning them. Sheila's angry they tried to trick her, but Jane says they meant no harm.

SHEILA: The very idea of me lending my incredible talent to your dodgy production! I would rather French kiss a skunk.
JANE: Well, pucker up. (Annoyed) None of you are going to be in my film because none of you have the je ne sais quoi I'm looking for.

Jane knows exactly who she'll be casting - herself! "Jane Harris: writer, director, star and winner!" she declares, while Clive looks uneasy. She also tells Sheila, Toadie and Mackenzie that if any of them are brave enough to take her on, then go for it.

Number 24
With a reluctant sigh, Nicolette goes back to watching the vineyard footage. Around 4pm she sees Chloe and Leo head outside with glasses of wine before they stumble merrily down the driveway. Nicolette becomes concerned when she speeds ahead to 9pm and the only cars at the winery are Chloe and Leo's - no function guests in sight. The clips from 5am show her the same thing. Nicolette looks shaken.

Number 32
Aaron can't believe David doesn't want to open the parcel they just got with a baby item inside he's been hanging out to see, but David's in no mood for smiles or frivolity right now. Aaron promises David that everything's going to be all right then wraps him in a comforting hug. "I know it feels tough now, but it's all going to be worth it soon," Aaron reassures him.

Number 24
Chloe arrives home, not realising the storm she's about to enter into. She tells Nic she went for a big walk to clear her head and decided on something major: she's going to quit the winery job and go back to the hotel. Nicolette, who has remained eerily composed, stares at the laptop in front of her and wonders what brought on Chloe's change of heart.

CHLOE: It's too much, all those long hours working so far away. I want to be here with you.
NICOLETTE: But you love that job.
CHLOE: Sure, but I love my OG job too. And it doesn't involve such a long commute. I don't like being so far away from my foxy fiancee.
NICOLETTE: You were okay with it last night.
CHLOE: That won't happen again.
NICOLETTE: I guess it's a unique situation. It's not every day a winery has its first major event with only two attendees, both of whom work there. You didn't stay at Aaron and David's last night, you car was at the vineyard until this morning.

She swings the laptop around to show Chloe.

NICOLETTE: So was Leo's. What's that about? (Chloe remains silent) It is a simple question, Chlo.
CHLOE: It's not.
NICOLETTE: Okay then let me give you an easier one then. Why would you lie to me? Because I really don't like where my mind's taking me right now, so why don't you just tell me what's been going on and why you've been looking me straight in the eye and lying.
CHLOE: (blurting it out) I think I slept with Leo.

Nicolette looks utterly astounded.
