No opening titles for this episode, instead on the screen we see 'The story so far...' and we hear Paul give a voiceover bringing everyone up to speed with where we currently are.
PAUL: Not everyone was happy when Finn was released.
(Finn arriving to a 'welcoming committee' or Ramsay Street residents!)
PAUL: After all, he'd done some pretty bad things.
(Finn mowing Xanthe down with his car)
FINN: Elly, you lead men on. You're nothing but a tease!
ELLY: Get out!
(Elly, Bea and Susan being locked in a shipping container)
PAUL: Thanks to Susan, he lost all memory of his crimes.
(Finn going over the cliff)
PAUL: He's convinced everyone he's a good guy.
(Finn waking up from being in his coma)
(Susan giving her statement at Finn's court case)
SUSAN: I believe the Finn Kelly sitting in front of me today is not the same person who committed those crimes.
PAUL: Little do they know his memories have returned, and the old Finn is back.
(Shots of Finn pashing with Bea and then of Finn helping delivering Aster)
FINN: I know who I am, who I've always been. There's still some people out there who deserve to hurt as much as they've hurt me and get what's coming to them.
(Finn getting angry and looking like he's away to harm Lucy and then making the bomb that's in one of the honeymoon boxes)
PAUL: He's obsessed with Elly.
(Finn pashing Elly at #28 until she pulls away)
ELLY: I can't do this.
PAUL: And there's only one person standing in the way.
(Finn watching on as Bea and Elly hug each other)
(Finn making one of his video entries)
FINN: Elly told me that we could never be together because of Bea, so, if Bea's the obstacle...
(Chloe coming up with a plan for Elly's 35th birthday)
CHLOE: Group getaway for your birthday!
(Finn circling 'Old Watson Mine' on a map of the island)
PAUL: An Island getaway seems like a good idea, but with Finn seething with rage, what could possibly go wrong?
Water
With Little Mix's 'Power' being played, the Ramsay Street residents (Elly and Aster, Chloe, Bea, Roxy, Pierce, Kyle and Toadie) travel to the island on a speedboat. While the others congregate next to someone, Finn stands alone at the back of the boat.
Island
"This place rocks! I feel like I'm dreaming," Roxy declares after everyone decamps onto the island from the small rowing boat. While Chloe describes it as being "even better than the pictures" and reckons that "people are going to be lining up to glamp here!"
Bea quizzes Finn on why he's been a bit quiet and he puts it down to "savouring the moment."
FINN: I never thought I'd be allowed to leave Erinsborough.
BEA: Well, we're here now. It's our first official holiday together.
The campers, under Chloe's direction, make their way to where the glamp site is located. Toadie admits to having a bit of "parental guilt," as he walks alongside Kyle after he commented that "Nell would've loved this." Kyle reminds him that Shane and Dipi will look after the kids and he'll be home tomorrow. "My body is not meant for hiking," Roxy declares as she gives up on walking and jumps on Kyle's back to get a piggy-back to the site!
About the only person, aside from Finn, not enjoying the walk is Elly as she carries Aster in her car seat. She rejects Finn's offer of taking the bairn, citing that she needs "to work on my muscles anyway" to "give Pierce a run for his money!"
Glamp site
Eventually everyone reaches the site where there are four bedroom tents (Bea and Finn, Elly and Aster in with Toadie, Kyle and Roxy together and one too for Chloe and Pierce) and a big one for communal and dining... and there is a portaloo somewhere nearby too!
Bea and Finn's tent
"Amazing!" is how Bea describes their tent and wow it is something else too with a proper bed, pot plants, a rug on the floor, cushions and there is even a welcome basket of goodies too! The lass says to Finn that the objectives for the next few days are to "eat good food, drink great wine, and have fun with our friends." "Sounds good to me," Finn replies but its lucky Bea can't see his face as they hug as it says a different story!
Kyle and Roxy's tent
Kyle races Roxy into their tent to secure the best bed (they have twin single beds) and after he jumps on it, describes the mattress as being "so comfy." Despite not being first in, Roxy is happy with the bed she's ended up with as it's "closest to the power point!"
Glamp site
Meanwhile Toadie barely spends a second in his allocated tent - throwing his backpack into it and rushing off to the beach!
Bea and Finn's tent
Bea finally finds the sarong she packed so they can follow Toadie and head to the beach for a swim. Finn decides he isn't going as he didn't sleep too well last night, so fancies a nap but promises to join them after "a quick recharge." Bea is curious when Finn gets a text (it's from Elly saying they need to talk) but he lies saying it was just Karl checking that they got there safely.
BEA: Tell him we made it to paradise.
Elly and Toadie's tent
Finn enters Elly's tent and she tells him that he "can't keep stringing Bea along like this," giving her "false hope for the future?" He reminds her that he'd break things off after they got back home and asks what is he "supposed to do? Push her away?"
FINN: This is an impossible situation for all of us. Unless you're changing your mind about things.
ELLY: No, we can't be together. I can't do that to her.
"Of course, you're right," Finn agrees and explains about the lie he told Bea so that the pair of them could spend some time at the beach without him.
FINN: Give her some good memories to take home.
ELLY: Sorry. I'm sorry for lecturing you and acting jealous.
FINN: No, it's okay, you're just looking out for your sister.
Glamp site/Bush
Elly then picks Aster up and heads out of her tent towards the beach with Finn watching her walk. Once she's out of his sight, he rushes back into his tent and grabs a small rucksack and heads off into the bush.
Finn eventually reaches where he was trying to find - Old Watson Mine.
Beach
The glampers are enjoying themselves down on the beach although Toadie isn't too impressed at the noise coming from the innocent frolicking between Kyle and Roxy in the water, unlike Chloe who does seem impressed! Toad is sure there is nothing going on between the pair, but Elly thinks otherwise.
Chloe isn't too impressed that Pierce is still glued to his mobile, but once he's reassured (in the text message from Terese) that the expo is going well and that Lucy and Mark's wedding was a hit, he ditches the phone to go play cricket with Toadie.
Bea tries to persuade her sister to join her in the water, but she wants to stay near Aster. Taking her sister into her confidence, Bea thinks that Finn is struggling as he is finding it hard to unwind.
BEA: I just wish that I knew what was going on in his head.
Old Watson Mine
Finn pulls the rope ladder up from the mine and tampers with it. Using his Swiss Army knife, he cuts the rope so that and then breaks some of the wooden runs by stamping on them before throwing the bits he's cut off (4 runs) into the mineshaft.
Bea and Finn's tent
Bea returns to their tent to find Finn sprawled out on the bed having had a nap. Given his semi-naked state (he's just in his boxers), Bea decides its time for a bit of 'fun' between the pair of them!!!
However, while we know its Bea he is having sex with, Finn is hallucinating so that he actually thinks it's Elly he is with! Bea is unawares that he says "I love you so much" to Elly rather than her! Bea is of course oblivious over what he is seeing and tells him that "maybe you should have a nap more often!"
Communal tent
Roxy still can't get over the glamp site as she sits sipping wine with Kyle while Chloe and Elly prepare the food. The pair are bantering away, and despite Roxy swearing that she is "off men" and has "shut up shop," the look on Chloe's face is that she believes the lass' mind could be changed!
The spell is broken when Pierce comes in to see who fancies some archery - Kyle is definitely up for it after the buddy club kids "walloped me last time!" Roxy is tempted to join in too but before any of that happens - despite his reluctance to hand it over (for fear of not keeping tabs on Hendrix), Chloe demands her husband hands over his phone.
PIERCE: I guess I have to start trusting him sometime.
Island
"See, I told you we'd get here at sundown!" Hendrix declares to Harlow after the pair land on the island. She though is still worried about how Paul and Terese are going to take it after she lied to them.
HENDRIX: It's for a good cause, and when they eventually start asking questions, just blame me.
HARLOW: Okay, I will tell them that you kidnapped me, forced me to lie, and then told me to pack a bikini.
"Whatever works," he replies and seems impressed that she's packed a bikini before Harlow asks how they get to the campsite! Hendrix has been sneaky and snuck a copy of the map of the island but before they get going the boat owner calls them back to say they've forgotten a bag. It's then we find out who has taken them to the island... Harry Sinclair!!!
Glamp site
As the others are gathering in the centre of the camp for food and drinks, Finn pulls Bea back as he isn't "ready to share you with anyone else yet" and suggests instead that they head for a walk.
FINN: Just the two of us.
BEA: Okay, that sounds good to me.
Elly seems somewhat jealous at the pair heading off after spotting them when she exits her tent, although after she and Finn make eye contact with one another, that look changes to one of almost fearfulness!
Bush
As they make their way towards the glamp site, Harlow wonders if Pierce will be angry at them for gate crashing, but Hendrix reassures her that he can handle his dad.
The pair then decide, since they've already got all their own camping gear, not to head towards the glamp site but instead make their own camp on the beach at the other side of the island and simply appear when it's time to hitch a ride home.
Meanwhile as Bea and Finn 'frogmarch' through the bush, she pleads for him to "slow down a little?" He somewhat ignores her as they continue to march uphill before eventually stopping to explaining that they are heading towards a lookout that he thought would be a nice surprise for her.
BEA: What have you got planned at this lookout?
FINN: Can't we just let it be a surprise?
With the promise that it's not too far away, they pair get going again.
Music montage time
As the Tones and I 'Monkey' plays, we go between the glampers playing with the archery set back at camp and Bea and Finn hiking towards the 'lookout'.
Old Watson Mine
Conveniently, Bea and Finn stop near to where the mineshaft is located and its Bea who spots it and goes towards it to take a better look. Bea wonders if it's "maybe a mine" and Finn repeats what Pierce said, that "the island wasn't always deserted." "I wonder how far down it goes," Bea asks when they get to the mineshaft entrance and she peers down into it. Finn ignores her question and instead suggests that they "take a picture," which Bea agrees to and goes to stand about a metre away from the mineshaft.
FINN: You look so beautiful right now.
BEA: All right, all right, let's get this photo.
Finn then says he hasn't got his phone with him, so Bea hands over her one. He then asks her to stand back a bit, citing that there is "some realty good lighting just coming through the trees there." Bea moves backwards and is now literally standing right beside the mineshaft as Finn takes a couple of snaps.
FINN: Perfect.
Finn then starts to walk towards her, making on like he is about to kiss her but then suddenly says to her:
FINN: Goodbye, Bea.
And pushes her so she falls into the mineshaft!!! We can see her yelling "Finn" as she falls backwards and then a moment later, she lands at the bottom with a thump!
At the top, Finn has a huge smile on his face and is about to walk off when he hears Bea yell his name from below. Down at the bottom, Bea is groaning and holding her leg.
FINN: I'm Sorry, Bea.
BEA: My leg! My leg! It hurts, Finn!
FINN: I'm sorry it has to be like this. It's the only way.
BEA: (sobbing) Why? Why?
FINN: It was meant to be quick. It's a big drop. The fall alone should've... I didn't want you to be in pain. I was trying to be kind. Don't... Don't take it personally.
Finn then sits himself down on the ground with his legs dangling into the mineshaft.
FINN: You were just in the way. Elly's... far too loyal to you.
BEA: Elly?
FINN: She would never agree to be with me If you were around... Now you're not. I love her, Bea. I mean, I...I tried. I tried to love you. I really did.
BEA: (sobbing and groaning) No!
FINN: You just weren't her. And you never will be.
BEA: What is wrong with you?!
FINN: They'll realise something's up and that's when we'll discover that you went for a wander. Happened upon this old mine. You just had to take a look.
BEA: No!
FINN: You just can't trust old ladders.
As he said that, he started ratting one of the boards still attached to the rope against the wooden side of the mineshaft causing some soil to flutter downwards.
BEA: No. Finn! Please. Please. FINN!
FINN: Death by misadventure. That's what they'll say. I just hope it doesn't drag on too long. The injuries, dehydration. Let's just hope it's only a few days, hey?
Finn now stands up and gets ready to leave.
BEA: Finn! Please!
FINN: A terrible, tragic accident. Beautiful Beatrix. Gone too soon.
Despite Bea yelling his name from down below, he ignores it and instead now walks away from the mineshaft
