Ramsay Street
Finn asks Terese if she'd consider supporting a charity bachelor auction for the Sonya Foundation, by letting them hold it at The Waterhole.

TERESE: A bachelor auction? Your mind really is twelve years in the past!

Nonetheless, Terese agrees to it, saying Finn can hold the event tomorrow - but asks him not to turn it into a 'meat market'. Finn insists that there will be 'nothing tacky'.

Obsessive tour-goer Alfie is looking around the house in admiration, apparently oblivious to Bea's terror at his being there.

ALFIE: This is so surreal.
BEA: Please, just take anything you want and leave me alone.
ALFIE: Your sister lives here - Elly. The one that Finn tried to frame...
BEA: Please!
ALFIE: Hey, can... can we take a selfie?

Bea tries to go for the door, but Alfie bars her way and insists on getting a selfie with her. At that moment, Finn comes in, sees a scared Bea - and immediately grabs Alfie by the collar, before throwing him onto the sofa and pinning him there, angrily.

No 30
Dee is in the living room, and Toadie brings in Hugo and Nell to meet her. Nell is immediately unimpressed by the sight of her, and Dee wonders if this was such a good idea.

TOADIE: Nell, Dee is an old family friend of Daddy's.
NELL: Your name's not Dee - it's Andrea.
TOADIE: Uh, yeah. You know what? It is true - they do look pretty much the same. It's very confusing, I know.

Dee kneels down in front of Nell.

DEE: Can I tell you a secret?
NELL: Yeah.
DEE: It's pretty strange for me, too. Cos even though we look the same on the outside, we're actually very, very different on the inside.

Nell still seems suspicious, but is placated somewhat by a compliment from Dee about her school uniform. Hugo seems more interested in playing with Toadie's shirt collar than Dee.

DEE: I see a lot of you in him.
TOADIE: Poor kid.
DEE: I see a lot of her, too.

Lassiter's Complex
Chloe approaches Pierce for a chat in the courtyard, but he's still very frosty towards her. Chloe wants to discuss the bachelor auction at The Waterhole.

PIERCE: I heard about that. Not my favourite idea in the world.
CHLOE: Bunch of guys on stage in G-bangers and tuxes? What's not to love?
PIERCE: It's low-rent and it's off-brand.
CHLOE: So I guess that means my next question about you being one of the bachelors is off the table?

He doesn't even reply.

CHLOE: Come on, Pierce - lighten up, please! (...) I just want us to be friends again. I miss having actual conversations with you.

But Pierce says he has a meeting, and walks off.

Nearby, Yashvi is collecting money from the extras who attended her Finn Kelly Dark Tour. Chloe approaches, and is impressed with the wad of cash Yashvi has managed to accrue. Yashvi's pleased, but mentions Alfie and how creepy/obsessed he was, and how Ned almost found out the truth about the tour at the school.

CHLOE: If he finds out what you're doing, there'll be a dark tour about how he murders you!

Yashvi says he won't have a chance to find out; she's quitting while she's ahead. Ned himself approaches at this point, and is also impressed with Yashvi's wad of cash - but is still oblivious to the exact type of tour she's been hosting. They agree to meet for dinner later.

Yashvi gets a call from Bea...

Yashvi arrives to find Finn and Bea in the living room, with Alfie.

ALFIE: He won't let me leave! You can't let him kill me!

Finn asks Yashvi if it's true about the dark tour. She admits it is, but reminds Alfie that she told him the houses were off-limits.

ALFIE: I just wanted a photo.
YASHVI: A photo?! Are you out of your mind?!
BEA: What about you?! A tour about Finn?! And you showed people where we live!
YASHVI: I know, I wasn't... are you hurt?
FINN: He scared her half to death.
YASHVI: I'm so sorry, Bea.

Bea wants to call the police, but Alfie tells her she's overreacting.

BEA: You broke into my house and wouldn't let me leave!
ALFIE: I just wanted to meet Finn. No, you can't call the cops! I'll tell them what you did.
FINN: What's that supposed to mean?
ALFIE: You assaulted me.
FINN: I was protecting my friend.
ALFIE: And you think the cops will believe that? With your history? I know everything about you; I know you're under very strict bail conditions (...) You let me leave, and it all ends here.

Bea goes to call the police anyway, but Finn tells her to wait. He approaches Alfie very slowly, until he's right in his face.

FINN: Get out.

Alfie runs out.

Dee is playing with Hugo on the floor. She tells Toadie he has a beautiful family.

TOADIE: What about you - did you ever think about having kids?
DEE: Yeah, I wanted them desperately. But (...) the situation with Riley just never felt quite right. Dunno - maybe it wasn't my path.
TOADIE: What is your path?
DEE: I've always felt like I was put on this earth to help people. I know that sounds a bit airy-fairy.
TOADIE: No, no, not at all.
DEE: Maybe that's how I became a nurse. You know, I really missed it when we were on the run (...) We lived pretty simply, you know. Had a little house, our own garden. It was idyllic in a lot of ways, but very lonely, too. It was great when I was able to do some nursing again. I mean, I couldn't work in a hospital - but I did do some private work.

At this point, Susan comes in, with Karl, who's fresh off his flight.

SUSAN: We haven't even been home. He couldn't wait to see Dee.
TOADIE: (...) Didn't your plane arrive a couple of hours ago?
SUSAN (weary): Yeah; we took the ring road.

Dee pops her head around from the kitchen to see Karl, and says, casual as anything...

DEE: Trying to avoid the tolls, hey? Am I right?

Karl is taken aback by the sight of her, and then laughs.

KARL: Oh, you save a penny, Dee. Save a penny.
DEE: It's so good to see you, Karl!

They hug, very emotionally, as Susan and Toadie watch, smiling.

KARL: Oh, goodness me! It's so good to see *you*!

Harold's Café
Chloe is browbeating Kyle into entering the bachelor auction.

CHLOE: So, put your deets here, write a sexy blurb. Choose a photo - shirt optional.
KYLE: Yeah, nah, I think I'll pass.

He claims he's in the wrong headspace, but Chloe thinks it would be the perfect way to take his mind off Amy - plus it's for charity. Kyle remains unkeen, especially when he learns that nobody else has agreed to be involved yet. Chloe says she asked Pierce as well, but he was being all weird and distant due to the 'whole Ebony thing'. Kyle tells her not to dwell, and to focus on something else.

CHLOE: Like the bachelor auction?
KYLE: ... Alright, fine, I'll do it.

Kyle says Chloe's found his weak spot - now she just needs to find Pierce's. She looks thoughtful.

Bea, Finn and Yashvi are talking about Alfie, and whether he would go through with his threat of accusing Finn of assault. Finn thinks the police would believe Alfie over him, press charges, and ask questions about whether it was safe for Finn to be at the Kennedys'. This would lead Karl, Susan and David to start asking questions too.

FINN: And they'd be right. I lost my cool.
YASHVI: It's not your fault, Finn.
BEA: No, it's *your* fault.
YASHVI: I know it is.
BEA: No, Yashvi, that is not good enough! That guy could've done anything to me! And now he knows where we live; and he knows where you go to school!
YASHVI: Yeah, I made a mistake. I thought I could make some easy money, and I messed up. Please don't tell anyone about this. Not just for Finn's sake, but for mine and Ned's.
BEA: Hang on - Ned didn't know about this?
YASHVI: He didn't really like the idea.
BEA: Yeah, well, I wonder why? (!)
YASHVI: If he found out about this, he'd dump me for sure. Please can we keep this between us?

At this point, Susan and Karl come in, and the conversation ends. Karl reports how great it was for his half-sister Jemima to meet the rest of the family in London; and explains he and Susan are having dinner with Dee and Toadie later. Susan notices Bea is looking tense, and asks her about it - but Bea covers, and goes to put on the kettle. Finn looks worried.

The Waterhole
Terese and Chloe convene for an update on progress with the bachelor auction. Chloe admits that Kyle's the only bachelor she's managed to recruit so far. She none-too-subtly suggests that they should have someone representing Lassiter's in the auction - a 'management type'.

CHLOE: Distinguished, attractive, magnetic...
TERESE: Aww! Paul would love to hear you describe him like that. But I'm pretty sure you're talking about Pierce.
CHLOE: ... Pierce!! That's a great idea!!
TERESE: Chloe!
CHLOE: Look, if you pitched it, like, it was for the good of the business, with no lines being crossed...
TERESE: What, if *I* pitched it?
CHLOE: I may have already asked him.

Chloe explains that she thinks Pierce only said no because of 'long story', so suggests it might work better if the idea came from Terese. Terese says she'll ask, but tells Chloe not to get her hopes up.

Meanwhile, Toadie and Karl are at the bar, picking up takeaway. Toadie admits it's bizarre having the real Dee back in his life, and pretty awkward. Toadie explains they aren't going to concentrate on Andrea being the reason for Dee going missing, but instead try to focus on when they were happy.

TOADIE: We've got to find a new normal. A new version of the old us.

As they lay the table, Susan asks Dee how it's been stepping back into her old life.

DEE: Oh, really good, you know? Sometimes I feel like I never left (...)
SUSAN: How's it been with Toadie?
DEE: Oh, he's wonderful, as always. The kids, they're just incredible, too. Watching him being a dad...
SUSAN: I know, he's pretty amazing.
DEE: Yeah, he is. Actually, can I be honest with you, Susan?
SUSAN: Yeah, of course.
DEE: Spending so much time with him, some old Feelings™ have started to bubble up.
SUSAN: ... What kind of feelings?
DEE: Well... you know, I never stopped loving him. He was my great love.
SUSAN: Well, that, umm, complicates things, doesn't it?
DEE: Yeah. I guess I just hope that there's a part of him that still loves me, too.
SUSAN: Has he said anything?
DEE: No, no - of course not. He wouldn't.
SUSAN: Well, has he... done anything to make you feel that?
DEE: No, it's more of a... a sense. I mean, he must have some pretty strong residual feelings to betray Sonya.
SUSAN: That was... that was a very complicated time.
DEE: Yeah... And Hugo, you know, I look at him, and I see us. He's like the baby we never had a chance to have.
SUSAN: ... Just tread gently with Toadie. He's still so fragile after losing Sonya.
DEE: Of course. You know I wouldn't say anything, or do anything.
SUSAN: Yeah, that's probably wise.

But Dee looks sad about this.

Finn and Bea are sitting at the table. Finn's still shaken by what happened with Alfie. Bea suggests that they could still file a police report, but Finn isn't keen; so Bea thinks they should at least tell Karl and Susan what happened.

FINN: I don't want to do that either.
BEA: Finn, you... you really lost it with that guy, and I... I haven't seen you like that since you lost your memory. You clearly weren't in control. Look, Karl and Susan will understand, and they can help you.
FINN: I don't need their help.
BEA: You said you wouldn't hide anything from them, after what happened with Harry.
FINN: But this is different. I didn't snap because I was angry.
BEA: What? What do you mean?

Finn says it doesn't matter, and gets up from the table. But Bea follows him.

BEA: Yes! Yes, it does! You can't keep bottling things up like this.
FINN: Look, I don't want to talk about it.
BEA: Well, if you don't, it could happen again next time.
FINN: There won't be a next time.
BEA: How do you know that? (...) Why did you snap?
FINN: Because... because I wanted to protect you. Because I'm in love with you... Bea...
BEA: ... No, I can't...

She walks out of the house.

The Waterhole
Kyle and Chloe are playing pool, when a cheerier-looking Pierce turns up. He explains he's decided to be part of the bachelor auction after all; he and Terese decided that having one of the bosses there would keep things classier.

KYLE: Oh, and here I was hoping to go the full monty!

Pierce asks Chloe to send him an email with the details, then leaves.

KYLE: Found his weak spot, huh?
CHLOE: Step one complete.
KYLE: Let me guess - step two is, snap him up at the auction.
CHLOE: Yep! And then he'll be forced to hang out with me, and we'll be back to being best buds in no time.

Kyle isn't sure that forcing Pierce to spend time with her is the best way to fix things.

CHLOE: He has a got a sense of humour! Once we're hanging out and the banter is flowing, he'll remember how much he enjoys my company. That's all I want.

Karl and Susan are on the sofa, watching Dee in the kitchen; Karl remarks on how surreal it is to see her here. Toadie comes in to help Dee, having put the kids to bed.

DEE: It's still so funny thinking of this as your family home. It's gotta be the earliest night in the House of Trouser ever!
TOADIE: Ha - yeah, well, things have changed since those days! Although, I do like to think that, you know, I am the same person. Just maybe a bit older, bit crankier.
DEE: Still eat warm yoghurt?
TOADIE: Yeah, well - I have sensitive teeth!

She laughs.

DEE: Do you remember the night you went to that party? You came home, and somehow you ended up wearing my underwear?
TOADIE: I already apologised for that.
DEE: Yeah. Tell you what - that was the night I realised that you and I should hang out together more. And it was also the night that I started wearing your boxers.
TOADIE: *You* were the boxer thief?!

On the sofa, Karl and Susan wonder at how all this could have happened.

KARL: Life's completely random, isn't it? Tears people apart, brings them back together.
SUSAN: Yeah - well, it's done it to us, more than once.
KARL: Yeah. This has been the worst year of Toadie's life. His grief for Sonya is crippling him - not to mention what Dee's going through.
SUSAN: I've got a feeling that their life is about to get even more complicated...

The Waterhole
Yashvi is buying drinks for her and Ned at the bar. Bea comes in and takes a table; and since Ned isn't here yet, Yashvi goes to join Bea, giving her one of the beers. Bea coldly pushes it away.

BEA: No, thanks.
YASHVI: Oh, come on - it's the least I could do after setting some creep onto you. I owe you the world's biggest apology, and this probably isn't the best way to make one, and I've never really been good at making them, and... I'm sorry. I really am.
BEA: Can we just talk about this later?
YASHVI: Of course. But, umm... have you decided whether, umm, you're going to...
BEA: Whether I'm gonna tell Ned or not? Well, you can rest easy, cos I'm not going to.
YASHVI: Thank you so much. But as long as you're okay...
BEA: Well, Alfie's still out there, and he could come back for Finn at any moment.
YASHVI: No, he won't. Finn scared the absolute life out of him.
BEA: Finn should never have been in that position. It really affected him, and it made him feel like a freak (...) Finn doesn't deserve to be reminded of his past like that. It isn't who he is now. He's kind, and he's, umm... He's sweet. Not a monster. People should see him for his heart and... and his sense of humour...

Looking increasingly thoughtful, Bea rushes off suddenly, leaving Yashvi on her own.

Bea comes in, and Finn starts frantically apologising for what he said.

BEA: No, no, it's fine.
FINN: No, it's not. And I totally get that you don't feel the same. And the last thing I want is for you to feel uncomfortable.
BEA: I don't feel uncomfortable.
FINN: The way you ran off...
BEA: Oh, no, I just needed some thinking time (...) to sort myself out. And then I ran into Yashvi.
FINN:: Are you gonna dob her in to Ned?
BEA: No - no. That wouldn't be fair, on either of them. You know, they've got something good going on. Kind of like us.
FINN: ... Do we?
BEA: Well, I think so!
FINN: You mean our... our friendship?

Bea grabs Finn and plants a pash on him! He is keen to reciprocate...
