No 22
A very upset Piper demands to know how long Terese has been keeping the letter from her, and whether there are any more. Terese confirms it's the only one, and says she hadn't decided whether to give it to Piper. She admits Mark gave it to her when she came back from Adelaide, which upsets Piper even more.

TERESE: He felt I was in the best position to judge whether you were in the right frame of mind or not to read it.
PIPER: So you've read it?
TERESE: No! Nobody knows what Tyler's put in there, sweetheart. Listen to me - I just don't think it's a good idea -
PIPER: No, just stop - stop! How many times do I have to explain this to you?! I'm not a child! This is none of your business. Just stop interfering!
TERESE: Hey, I will always do what's best for you, Piper! Especially at times when you can't see it for yourself!

Ned intervenes to calm them down, but Piper just walks out of the house.

The Waterhole
The dance-off has moved into the pub, and Dipi announces that it's 3am! The only couples still on the dance floor are Mark and Amy, and David and Aaron. Aaron is determined to win the dance lesson prize so they can impress at their wedding.

DAVID: Yeah. I love my fiancé's dance moves - but his past training isn't exactly appropriate for our first dance as a married couple!

Meanwhile, a shattered Mark is trying to persuade Amy to let David and Aaron win. But she tells him they are 'in it to win it'. Mark's annoyed as he wants to speak to Elly in the morning and be lucid when he does, but Amy retorts that Elly can wait. She shoves a sachet of energy gel in his mouth, telling him she's been using them to keep her energy up and that it will keep him awake.

Lassiter's
Morning has broken, and Chloe and Leo are at work, but apparently the dance-off is still going on. Chloe's annoyed because she's sponsoring her brothers by the hour.

CHLOE: Their selfless efforts are costing me a fortune!
LEO: Don't complain to me. Who do you think's sponsoring Amy and David?
CHLOE: Ugh. Sibling obligations suck.

Mishti walks by looking troubled, and Chloe asks if she's okay. Mishti explains Dilhan's sentencing hearing is today. Chloe offers to go with her, but Mishti says there's no need.

MISHTI: I'm just looking forward to justice being served, that's all.

Once Mishti's gone, Leo admits to Chloe that he tried to get Dilhan to hit him in order to get his bail revoked, but that he accidentally hit Ned instead. Chloe begins to realise why Ned had a black eye!

LEO: I just want today to be over, so she can put that lowlife behind her.

Lassiter's Complex
Mark is having a break from the dance-off when Ned appears, demanding to know why Mark felt he had the right to give Tyler's letter to Terese.

NED: You knew she'd hide it from Piper! Well, guess what - she found out. So nice work, buddy - now they won't be speaking to each other for months!

Mark says he thought Terese would make the best decision for Piper.

MARK: Tyler was in a bad place when he wrote it, okay? Terese is her mum; if she didn't want to expose Piper to that, well, then, I don't blame her!
NED: You know, you'd think an ex-cop would know better than to tamper with someone's mail!
MARK: Ned, drop the sanctimonious big brother act, okay? You weren't here when Tyler went to jail, and Piper's life fell apart because of it! (...) Ned, she was scared to go outside! She was obsessing over everything. She had a total emotional breakdown - and you weren't around to pick up the pieces, were you, Ned? No. But we were. Terese, her friends - we were here, helping her through everything. So frankly, if there is anyone that knows exactly what Piper needs right now, it's us, not you!

Amy comes storming out to retrieve her dance partner, and pulls Mark back inside.

The Waterhole
It's now 11am. The dance-off continues, and David, Aaron and Mark are all nearly asleep - as is Dipi! Amy, though, is still full of energy because of all the gels she's been using - and sticks another gel in Mark's mouth, telling him there's no slacking off now.

While Mark goes for a toilet break, Aaron suggests to David that they enlist Mark, who's clearly not enjoying himself, to get Amy to take a whole bunch of gels at once. This would cause a laxative effect which would force her to take more than one toilet break in an hour!

David says that would be really mean, and gross. But Aaron reminds him they've been dancing for 23 hours - and the dance lessons will be one less wedding cost they'll have to worry about. David agrees to Aaron's plan, and Aaron rushes off for a 'toilet break' himself, so he can find Mark. Amy is energetically doing stretches on a nearby chair, and David looks at her like she's a freak!

Lassiter's Lake
Piper is wandering across the lake with Tyler's unopened letter in her hand, looking conflicted. Cassius is walking away from the hotel, with a book in his hand. He sees Piper from afar, stops for a while, looking worried, and then carries on walking. She doesn't see him - she's too busy deciding what to do about the letter.

Harold's Café
Mishti is reporting to Leo and Chloe about Dilhan's court hearing. He was only handed a fine, we learn. Chloe says he should've been locked up. Mishti says it was at least the maximum fine, but Leo says it means nothing thanks to Dilhan's rich family.

Mishti gets a text from a blocked number, saying 'see you soon'. Chloe interprets it as a threat from Dilhan; Mishti says he's just mad about the fine and trying to play games. Leo and Chloe suggests that Mishti get a restraining order, but Mishti says it's not necessary.

MISHTI: Yeah, he's a jerk, but he's not stupid enough to approach me after today.
CHLOE: What do you call that, then?!
MISHTI: The situation is under control, alright? And I don't want my colleagues thinking otherwise.

Mishti heads off to work, and Chloe says to Leo that they should consider taking turns to keep an eye on her, in case Dilhan does show up. Leo says they have to respect that she's looking after herself. Chloe is worried she could be in danger, but Leo says she doesn't want their help and definitely not his. But Chloe still seems intent on keeping an eye out.

The Waterhole
Dipi is nodding off at the bar, as the dance-off continues. Mark, David and Aaron prepare to put their plan into action, telling Amy that she looks really sleepy. Mark encourages her to have more gels.

AMY: Nah, I've just had one.
MARK: Well, you've probably built up a tolerance. Why don't you have a handful?

Amy takes his advice!

Power Street
Mishti is dusting a retrieved stolen car for fingerprints, when Chloe appears from behind, scaring her. Chloe suggests they go and see the new Channing Tatum movie tonight.

CHLOE: There'll be rock-hard abs and buttery popcorn!

But Mishti says she's going to enjoy having No 32 to herself tonight, as the rest of the family is staying at the hotel. She needs some time to process the disappointing court result, she says. Chloe says to call if she changes her mind, and leaves. But as she walks away, Mishti gets another text from the blocked number, saying, 'better keep your lights on tonight'. She glances around anxiously.

The Waterhole
Dipi is on the phone to Shane (who's Not In This Episode™), reporting on progress at the dance-off. She's surprised no-one has passed out yet. David and Aaron are annoyed that the laxative effects don't seem to have taken hold of Amy yet!

Amy's stomach starts rumbling. She asks Dipi for a loo break, but as the symptoms pass, declares it a false alarm and rushes back to the dancefloor. Aaron, David and Mark all look frustrated.

Lassiter's Lake
Piper is sitting on the grass, still holding the unopened letter. Ned turns up with coffees, and sits with her.

PIPER: Do you know how long I've waited for Tyler to say something to me? Like, anything? He's shut me out for so long, and now... He has impeccable timing, though, I'll give him that.
NED: How do you mean?
PIPER: I felt like I was starting to move on. Like, I was ready to open myself up to someone else. You know, he'd wanted me to forget about him. But here he is, making things complicated... I met a guy. And it could be nothing, or - I dunno.
NED: That's great.
PIPER: Is it? Because even Cassius can tell that I'm still too hung up on Tyler for anything to happen.
NED: Cassius? The tall guy, blonde hair?
PIPER: Yeah?
NED: We talked about getting a tat removed the other day. Seems alright, if you like that sort.
PIPER: Ned, how am I supposed to move on, when the love of my life can just push his way back in whenever he feels like it?
NED: ... If you read that letter, Pip, what's the best-case scenario for you and Tyler? He admits he does love you - asks you to wait for him, right? So that's ten years of waiting. Ten years of pushing away the maybes so you can keep that space just for him. Like you're already doing. So maybe this - how you're feeling now - is the best-case scenario. I think that's what your mum was thinking when she hid that letter from you. Not to excuse her, but - maybe that's why she did it.
PIPER: Yeah, I guess.
NED: I suppose what I'm trying to say is, Pip - whatever Tyler has to say to you, it's not gonna make things better.

The Waterhole
The dance-off continues, and Amy is now having serious stomach problems! Dipi again grants her a loo break - but David and Aaron object, saying she's only just been. Amy says it was a false alarm but Aaron and David protest, forcing Dipi to confirm that, as she left the dancefloor, technically she's not allowed another break.

AMY: Dipi, please, it's an emergency!
MARK: You're gonna have to hold it.

But Amy notices David, Mark and Aaron winking slyly at each other, and realises she was tricked into taking the extra gels!

AMY: You conniving, backstabbing... Judases!

But before she can say anything else, Amy is compelled to rush to the toilet - leaving Dipi to declare David and Aaron the winners! She presents them with their crowns, and they kiss.

Lassiter's Complex
Amy finds David outside. He's apologetic for making her lose the dance-off.

AMY: One day, when you least expect it, I will get my vengeance.

But they both laugh, and Amy says she forgives him - admitting that she was being really intense about winning the competition. It's just because she misses Jimmy, she says - she needed something to lose herself in.

David clearly hasn't been told about Amy's kleptomania, as he still thinks she's struggling with drinking - and says if it ever becomes a problem, he's here for her. They hug, and Amy looks slightly guilty for not telling him the truth.

David goes home to sleep; and Amy casts her eye over some tempting-looking jewellery outside the Haus of Elisabeth boutique. But rather than succumbing and stealing it, Amy makes a call to Gary, and asks if he has a spare minute...

The Waterhole
Dipi is again reporting to Shane on the phone - the extra-long dance-off has meant they've made a lot of money for her musical, Flapper. Mishti comes in, and tells Dipi that Dilhan got off with a fine. She also shows Dipi the threatening texts.

Dipi is worried, and suggests Mishti stay at the hotel with the rest of the family tonight. But Mishti says she's taking on a double shift, so is only going home briefly to change her shirt. Dipi doesn't think Mishti should be doing extra work given what's gone on today, but Mishti insists she's fine. As she turns from Dipi, we can see she isn't.

Lassiter's Lake
Cassius is leaning on a bench, playing with his phone, when Piper approaches. He puts it away.

PIPER: You were right. I've been holding onto Tyler - and it's complicated things. Lots of things.
CASSIUS: Listen, Piper -
PIPER: I don't want to do that anymore. I'm tired of complicated.

She kisses him on the lips. He pulls away and stares at her, wide-eyed and very conflicted. Then, finally, he pashes her back.

No 22
Terese is working on her laptop when Piper comes in.

PIPER: I'm sorry. I'm really sorry about going off at you last night.
TERESE: You're not angry with me?
PIPER: I was, obviously. But I spoke to Ned earlier, and he helped me see why you might have been keeping the letter from me.
TERESE: (...) You know I'd never keep anything from you if I felt that I didn't need to.
PIPER: Yeah, I know that, now. And you're right - I'm not ready to see what's in the letter (...) And there's something I wanted to tell you.
TERESE: What?
PIPER: I may have kissed Cassius earlier.

Terese is thrilled for Piper. Piper then gives Terese the unopened letter from Tyler, and asks her to put it through the shredder at work; she can't destroy it herself.

PIPER: I want to move on properly.
TERESE: Well, I'm proud of you. It's a big step.

But once Piper has disappeared upstairs for a shower, Terese can't resist opening the envelope and reading the letter...

No 32
Mishti is in the kitchen, when she hears Clancy barking outside. A figure moves past the window, and Mishti is scared.

MISHTI: I know it's you.

The figure walks back in the opposite direction, and the dog continues to bark.

MISHTI: I'm warning you, I'm armed!

She grabs her gun, opens the back door, and fires it...
