Number 22
Ned tells Terese he thought he'd dealt with his feelings for Lauren, but in Queensland she was everywhere. His tattoo studio is in trouble because it was right next-door to her café so he cut back on clients.
NED: This thing between me and Lauren, it can't go on.
TERESE: What, it's not one sided?
They're interrupted by Piper coming home, saying Dad is such a sucker for sponsoring her in the dance off!
Number 30 (next day)
Shane bursts into the house but is introduced to Sindi who goes to put Hugo down. Toadie tells Shane the baby is Andrea's and could be his. He breaks down and Shane hugs him.
Lassiters complex
Dipi is dressed up and there are contestants for the dance off everywhere. Mishti is keeping busy so she doesn't have to think about Dilhan's trial tomorrow. Dipi manages to talk Paul into signing up for the competition.
DIPI: Think of how impressive it would be; a man over 50 dancing rings around people half his age. Or should I say late forties?
PAUL: Alright sign me up, but you keep your husband away from those refreshments, alright?!
Dipi tells Terese and Ned she doesn't have their names down but Terese says they have plans for the day and they make their escape. Dipi insists Cassius take part and he agrees. She asks Piper if she's going to thank her regarding Cassius. Piper says she thought there could have been something between them but she's woken up to herself!
Number 30
Toadie tells Shane he's getting a DNA test today. Although the results will take longer, it will give sufficient legal evidence that Hugo could be his for him to stay. Shane offers his support, as does Sindi; after everything she's done it's the least she can do.
Number 22
Lauren has flown down because Terese called her, and Terese forces Ned to tell her the truth that he's in love with her.
NED: You knew it and you feel something too.
LAUREN: I am married to your father and I am one hundred percent committed to him.
NED: If that's what you're telling yourself then I'm out of here.
Lassiters complex
At the dance off, Amy tells Elly she's in it to win it and has got a secret weapon. With Jimmy away she wants to do something positive with her time. Elly doesn't know what she would do if it were her. Amy comments that she seems to be doing OK since the Ned and Leo thing. Elly tells her that Mark came over to apologise and was very sweet. Any asks how sweet but Elly doesn't give anything away just yet.
Number 24
Mark is telling Aaron that Elly kissed him, but he doesn't know if he's ready for a relationship and doesn't want to hurt her again. How does he know this thing between them is real?
AARON: You don't just kiss someone for no reason, do you?
MARK: You used to, back in the day!
Aaron thinks he should just go for it.
Lassiters complex
Mark and Aaron arrive for the dance off as Dippy takes the mic and welcomes everyone. The more hours they dance the more money they raise. She draws names for the pairings. Elly is paired with Paul, Amy with Mark, David with Aaron (there are accusations of rigging!) and Piper with Cassius of course! Cassius offers to drop out but Piper says it's fine.
PIPER: But can you do something about your face because you look as though I've already trodden on your toes!
Piper spots Ned and says her brother looks worse. Cassius looks concerned to learn Ned is her brother.
Terese catches up with Ned and tells him he needs to come home and talk to Lauren. Ned says there's no point because she won't admit anything. Terese says maybe there's nothing to admit because it's not like anything has happened... or has it?
Car
It's another green screen fake driving scene with Toadie, Sindi and Hugo in the car. Sindi checks Toadie knows how sorry she is for her part in everything. Toadie tells her that he and Sonya were planning to try for another baby but if Hugo turns out to be his they will be tied to Andrea for ever. Who knows how Sonya will handle that? He tells Sindi about her relapse. Sindi tells him to take one thing at a time.
Lassiters complex
Piper and Cassius are clearly not into dancing together and Dipi pushes them closer together. Shane arrives and takes Dipi aside to talk to her about Toadie. Amy is taking things very seriously and Elly overhears that marathon gels are her secret weapon. Paul has a secret weapon as well and gives Elly some headphones left over from Courtney's silent disco so they don't have to listen to Dipi's horrible playlist! Mark tries to get Elly's attention but Amy has gone full on obsessive mode and tells him this is about the two of them winning!
Number 22
Terese tells Lauren she caught up with Ned and got the impression something happened between them. Lauren tells her this is ridiculous and none of her business. Terese is outraged.
TERESE: He cheated on me with you! He left me for you! And as crazy as this might sound the last thing I want is for him to get hurt.
Lauren admits they were alone in Ned's shop and there was a spark between them but she shut it down in a flash. She wants Brad and Ned to have a good relationship but all of them living together is doing her head in.
LAUREN: I don't know what to do.
TERESE: Yeah well you have to do something, because if you let it continue your marriage is going to be in big trouble, Lauren.
Waterhole
Mark is waiting for Elly on a toilet break. He tells her he's glad the kiss happened and he wants to give things a go. Elly reminds him he wasn't interested when she tried to restart things. Mark thinks he's ready now but Elly's not convinced. Mark asks what he's supposed to do. Elly kisses his cheek and tells him he'll figure it out!
Number 22
Ned returns and Lauren tells him he's right; there was a moment between them but she would never act on it. She tells him he has to move out and Terese invites him to stay here. Ned says he's not in a great financial position so Terese offers him a job as a porter at the hotel. Ned says he will give up the lease on his tattoo studio but asks what they're going to tell his dad. Lauren says she will talk to him; they have to be honest.
Erinsborough Hospital
The hearing went quickly and Toadie is going for his DNA test. Sindi assumes Hugo gets handed back to Andrea if the test is negative but Toadie says he deserves better. Sindi tells him it's OK if a part of him wants Hugo to be his! He created a space for another child and it must have hurt when Willow went to live with her father.
SINDI: Hugo needs a dad and you want another kid!
Number 22
Ned worries about Lauren speaking to Brad because she is good for him. Lauren says so is Ned; when they were estranged Brad had a heaviness about him.
NED: Lauren, whatever I feel for you, I will get over it.
LAUREN: Good. You deserve happiness, Ned.
Lauren leaves.
Lassiters complex
Shane suggests moving the dance off inside before it gets dark. Mishti comments that Elly has disappeared. Cassius tells Piper he's not sure how much longer he can do this and Piper suggests they give it ten more minutes so they can count the last hour. She leans her head on him and he runs his fingers through her hair. Piper tells him not to pretend he can't feel this. Cassius tells her nothing can happen because of her ex.
PIPER: Look, I can't pretend like I don't still have feelings for Tyler, and maybe I always will, but he's not a part of my life any more.
CASSIUS: He is everywhere. It's too much.
Cassius walks off.
Number 30
Toadie tells Sindi he's glad she came along today; he can tell she's sorry and is trying to make things right. Sindi says she'll never forgive herself for what she did. She asks Toadie to look after Hugo for a minute. Toadie talks to Hugo, telling him he'll make sure he's looked after, and asks Lyra the smart speaker to play a lullaby.
Number 22
Ned finds the letter from Tyler to Piper that Terese hid in the kitchen drawer. Really Terese, couldn't you have found a better hiding place? Terese snatches it from him and says she was just trying to protect Piper. Piper comes in and overhears. She takes the letter.
PIPER: This is from Tyler. Tyler wrote to me and you kept it a secret?
