Lassiter's Complex
Aaron pulls away from Rory's kiss and asks what on earth he's doing. Rory apologises and says he just wanted to make Aaron feel better.
AARON: If you want to make me feel better, buy me a doughnut! You don't try to kiss me.
Rory insists that it doesn't have to be a big deal and asks if they can forget it ever happened.
Penthouse
Paul relays his plans to Leo about the property development press release being staged in the penthouse. Realising that Paul hasn't asked Amy yet about taking on the role of project manager, Leo asks Paul how she's feeling but Paul sidesteps the issue, insisting that she'll be fine with it.
Ramsay Street
It's morning, and Sheila escorts Xanthe out of the house for her first day back at school. Yashvi joins her, whilst Elly congratulates Shane on the progress his family are making in learning Auslan sign language for Kirsha. She agrees that it's a good idea that Shane and Dipi have decided to keep Kirsha home for the first day back. Elly tells Shane and Sheila that they're looking for some new guest lecturers for the adult VCE classes, and Dipi lends Shane some words of encouragement for the TAFE course.
Harold's
Rory checks in on how Aaron is doing whilst a concerned Amy watches on. Aaron explains that he hasn't told David about the kiss and asks Rory to drop the subject. A blonde stranger enters and orders at the counter and Aaron looks as though he's seen a ghost. Rory doesn't know why 'Mick' has shown up and suggests that they both leave quickly before he spots them.
The Waterhole
Dipi harangues Sheila about the fact that she hasn't spoken to Clive to schedule another date, and suggests approaching him about something platonic to stay in contact with him.
DIPI: You could fake an illness!
SHEILA: Yashvi, get out of your mother's body so I can speak to an adult.
DIPI: Well an adult would ask Clive out herself...
Dipi rolls her eyes with an uncanny Yashvi impression! Sheila bemoans the fact that she should let Clive pass her by, just like everyone else in her life. Dipi suggests that Sheila could go back to school with Shane to sit her VCEs too, and Sheila agrees to think about it if Dipi leaves her alone! Once alone, Dipi picks up her phone and asks to speak to Clive Gibbon's assistant.
Harold's
Amy tries to cheer up a mopey David, who shows her Rory's Instagram post of drinks with Aaron from the previous night. Amy confesses that she saw Rory and Aaron speaking intensely together and David is crushed even further. He texts Aaron to ask for his things back, and decides to throw himself into work with the new hospital wing that Paul is donating to. David asks Amy about the property development Paul has given her to run but Amy looks clueless about the whole thing.
Penthouse
After the break, Amy has confronted Paul about keeping her in the dark and he finishes explaining what a great opportunity the project manager role will be for her, and promises that he would have told her eventually.
AMY: But telling isn't the same as asking, is it Dad?
PAUL: Okay, you want me to ask? Amy, will you please be my project manager on this amazing property development!
Paul insists that he's offering Amy a goldmine instead of a hand-out, and invites her to see the site in person in order to change her mind.
Robinson Heights Development
As Paul gives Amy a tour of the semi-constructed houses, he insists that his latest venture into property development will be completely above board. He explains that the work has been frozen in time from the previous developers and Amy is the perfect candidate to take it to completion. She looks uncertain as the tour continues.
No. 24
David arrives at the door to collect his things from Aaron. He brings up the fact that Aaron had drinks with Rory, and Aaron insists that it was just an evening with an old friend. David doesn't seem convinced and leaves with his belongings.
Harold's
Dipi asks Shane about his options for the VCE and he explains that he wants to concentrate on sciences to help with his inventing. Dipi tries to subtly drop the suggestion of Clive being a potential guest lecturer and encourages Shane to visit the Community Centre event to ask him in person. Shane falls for Dipi's scheme and is rewarded with a pat on the bum. Meanwhile Aaron overhears Amy on the phone to David and she confronts him.
AMY: Do you have any idea what you're doing to my brother?
AARON: I'm sorry, I don't...
AMY: You make all these massive gestures saying you still love him, but you can't stop hanging out with your ex.
AARON: I know, and it's kind of complicated.
AMY: No Aaron, it's actually pretty simple. Have some respect, and stop rubbing this other guy in his face.
The Flametree Retreat
Steph helps Amy weigh up Paul's proposal when they are interrupted by Rory. He asks Steph for the day off as someone has broken into his room at the backpackers. Steph begins to panic, but Rory insists that he knows who the culprit is and will deal with it himself.
Community Centre
Shane approaches Clive about the guest lecturing for the adult classes and he agrees to consider it. Paul dives in with another request for Clive, inviting him to the press launch for his latest project so they can discuss the name of the new hospital wing. Clive doesn't understand how he's suddenly made the Erinsborough A-list!
No. 24
Rory tells Aaron that he thinks Mick has trashed his room to warn him off, as he's been spotted with Aaron. Aaron insists that they have to call the police as Mick can't be near his work or family.
RORY: I know he freaked you out last time.
AARON: Yeah, the guy's a psycho!
RORY: So from now on we stick together. Safety in numbers, okay?
Harold's
Amy tells Elly that she's going to decline Paul's offer as she doesn't' believe she can take on the scale of the job. Elly worries that Amy isn't taking the job because she's a woman and insists that she is very capable of bossing all of the workers around.
ELLY: All jokes aside, is that what's affected your decision? Because you're a woman going into a so-called 'man's world'?
AMY: It's just the way it is. Because I'm a woman, I have to prove myself.
Elly suggests that Amy stipulates everything she wants in a contact for Paul and not to sign it until she's completely happy. Speaking of the devil, Amy receives a text from Paul urging to let him know her decision ASAP and hoping it's a 'yes'!
The Waterhole
Xanthe fills Sheila, Dipi and Ben in with the day's gossip from her first day and expresses her gratitude for returning to school. Sheila floats the idea of returning to school herself to take the VCE and Xanthe is delighted by the idea!
XANTHE: It will be totes awesome!
SHEILA: If I go back to school will I have to say totes awesome?
BEN: At least twice a day.
Sheila insists that she wants to take school seriously this time and realises that she's just talked herself into enrolling!
Penthouse
In the lift, Amy consults a list of concerns she's made to discuss with Paul. Inside the penthouse, Paul is mid-speech to a large press crowd about the hospital wing with David at his side. He announces that the new wing will be named the 'Helen Daniels Wing' to commemorate his grandmother and is met with a round of applause. Amy whispers to Leo that she still hasn't made up her mind about Paul's proposal.
PAUL: Now, for my final announcement. My late Dad, Jim Robinson, was an engineer, and I can only imagine how impressed he'd be today to know the plans for our other stunning development. See, I've spoken a lot about family today, because in the end everything comes back to family. Which is why I'm so excited to tell you about my latest real estate development, Robinson Heights: a place for families!
Paul unveils a scale model of one of the houses to more applause.
JOURNALIST: Who will be running the development?
PAUL: Well, my daughter Amy will be managing the construction!
Paul gestures to Amy who is fuming!
Community Centre
Clive speaks with Elly and agrees to guest lecturer for the TAFE course. He asks Shane to do him a favour in return and he agrees to take part in a medical study at the hospital. Sheila arrives and Clive tells her about the friendly push he was given to guest lecture. Sheila is annoyed at Dipi for a matter of seconds before she is glad of the opportunity to finally make things up with Clive.
Erinsborough Backpackers
Rory approaches Mick, who says he was delighted that Rory texted him but was confused that the show he wanted to watch was cancelled. Rory says that Aaron knows Mick is here, and follows him into the toilet to discuss things in private.
