Karl comes in to tell Susan about the phone call he just received. He says hes had good news about Sarahs cancer treatment but that it will have implications for them, so he wants to talk to her about it.
Theyre interrupted by the arrival of Sarah, and Karls forced to tell her what hes learned. Hes been speaking on the phone to Georgia, in order to see if they could circumvent the waiting list for the Lukas Konstantin Miracle Cancer Centre in Germany. Naturally, Georgia has managed to arrange this, and Sarah now has a placement on the next trial.
KARL: Its next week youd have to leave immediately.
Sarah seems unsure, as shes only just adjusted to the idea of continuing treatment and Angus has still to adjust to Erinsborough. Sarahs worried hell go off the rails if she leaves, especially since he hasnt been getting on with Ben and asks if the Kennedys are ready to deal with it. Karl glances at Susan uncertainly.
The titles roll.
When we return, Sarah is giving the Kennedys an opportunity to back out of looking after Angus, but Susan insists its already been agreed and as a parent and principal, shes more than capable of coping with his behavioural issues. Karl agrees, but doesnt look quite so enthusiastic!
SUSAN: Besides, how hard can it be for two teenage boys to get along?

Toadie, Sonya and Steph are at home. Stephs about to go for a walk to clear her head shes worried about Mark being taken off the hotel explosion case at work. Sonya thinks it might be more to do with Aaron and Tyler having been part of the investigation.
Theres a knock at the door its Toadies brother, Kevin Stonefish Rebecchi! He explains he was on his way back from Newcastle, and thought hed pop in; he had some business up there that he wanted to talk to Toadie about.
On Stonies mention of the Newcastle business, Toadie immediately suggests that Steph and Sonya go out for a walk together. But Sonya objects, saying she wants to catch up with Stonie. Steph eventually convinces Sonya to go for a walk with her.
STEPH: I'm sure these bozos have got plenty to talk about, anyway.
But once the women have gone, Toadie turns serious, and tells Stonie he should have told him he was coming. Stonie shrugs.

Sheila and Xanthe come in, back from a trip to see the Frankston Cannings.
SHEILA: Its so important to know where your family comes from. You must have felt a real sense of belonging when you got out of the car at Frankston, didnt you?
XANTHE: Hmm, they need better Wi-Fi.
Angus comes out of his room, all charm, and introduces himself.
SHEILA: Your mother told us all about you!
ANGUS: And you still let me stay?
SHEILA: Oh, she said you had a wicked sense of humour.
Sheila introduces Angus to Xanthe, but shes totally absorbed in her mobile phone, and barely acknowledges him. Sarah comes in.
SARAH: You met Angus!
SHEILA: Yes, hes exactly as you described, only better looking.
Sarah asks Angus to come next door with her. Meanwhile, Sheila tries to hurry Xanthe into getting ready for her shift at Harolds but Xanthe is still totally engrossed in her phone, and says shes looking at something important. Sheila snatches the phone from her and starts reading what it quickly becomes evident is a list of nasty comments on Xanthes social media profile.
SHEILA: LOL, jean jam. What on earth does that mean?
XANTHE: My jeans are too tight.
SHEILA: Oh. You have totally the style of CSR Barbie.
XANTHE: Charity Store Reject Barbie. Cheap, fake and out-of-date.
SHEILA: Thats so rude! Oh, but theres a nice one here from someone called Alison. She says, hashtag tryhard. That means shes encouraging you to do your best.
XANTHE: No, Gran, thats not what it means.
Visibly hurt by the social media comments, Xanthe says the online bullies are just jealous, and Sheila reassures her shes gorgeous. Xanthe says shes going to answer her critics, and is sure theyll back off. Xanthe walks out, and Sheila looks worried.

Sarah comes in with Angus for a meeting with Karl and Susan. Once theyre all seated around the table, Sarah explains to Angus that she has to go away to Germany, for business and that it wont be possible for him to come with her. Since hes been kicked out of his UK boarding school, hell have to stay here with Karl and Susan while shes away.
ANGUS: So, why can't I stay with Dad?
SARAH: The last time you stayed with your father, it didnt work out.
ANGUS: Thats not true!
SARAH: Angus, I remember the fallout
ANGUS: Youre not dumping me on complete strangers! I'm calling Dad.
Angus marches out of the front door. Everyone looks worried.

Angus comes in, on his mobile phone.
ANGUS: Dad, hey its me No, I'm just on a break Hey, listen, I thought maybe I could come and spend some time with you I dunno, a month-ish?... You see, Mums got this work thing, so I thought Yeah, I understand Completely Christmas, yeah. That could be fun
The camera pans back as Angus looks really sad.

Toadie and Stonie are having a Significant Conversation, which we join halfway through. Its not clear who the he is that theyre talking about.
STONIE: So I went to the address you gave me, and no-one was home.
TOADIE: Did you ask around?
STONIE: Yeah, course. Apparently the place has been deserted for a while.
TOADIE: Does anyone know where hes gone?
STONIE: Well, not really. I mean, some neighbours thought they mightve seen him with some suitcases. He mightve just legged it.
TOADIE: Are you sure no-one was home?
STONIE: Yeah.
TOADIE: He couldve been sick. Maybe you could go back and double-check?
But Stonie says his missus, Chantelle, would kill him if he stayed away from home any longer.
TOADIE: Stonie, I need to know whats going on!
STONIE: So go up and suss it yourself!
TOADIE: I can't! I don't want Sonya to find out about this!
STONIE: Thats something you mightve mentioned earlier I wouldnt have just dropped in like this!
TOADIE: I did!!
STONIE: Oh yeah, you did. Look, if youre so worried, just tell her.
TOADIE: No! No, I don't want to get her upset. Its gonna be fine. I mean, if he was gonna show up, he would have done so by now, right?
Stonie supposes that he is on a beach a million mile away, enjoying spending Toadies cash!
Harolds Café
Xanthe arrives for work, with Sheila in tow. Xanthe is wearing a rather plain, baggy dress, and Sheila remarks that its not very you. But Xanthe doesnt seem to want to talk about it, and heads off into the kitchen.
Sonya and Steph come in, and Sheila asks their advice about social media, on Xanthes behalf explaining that she seems to be the victim of some online sledging, particularly from Alison. Sonya thinks Sheila should call Susan to let her know, and that Xanthe should block Alison on the social media site.
SHEILA: I suppose thats a start.
STEPH: Well, I know where Id start if someone were bullying Charlie. Id thump em.
SONYA: Oh, Steph!
STEPH: Well, I would!
But Sonya insists that the best course of action is to ignore it and walk away. Steph gives Sheila a look as if to say Sonyas wrong!

Sarah comes in to talk to Karl and Susan she can't find Angus anywhere, and he isnt answering his phone. She hates the thought of leaving for Germany with Angus still angry at her.
Karl suggests Sarah should tell Angus about the cancer as it would help him to understand, but Sarah isnt convinced she wants to talk to Angus about his not getting on with Ben, too. She disappears off to try ringing Angus again.

Steph and Sonya return, just as Stonie is about to leave. But Sonya begs him to stay for a cup of tea, so he agrees. Toadies acting suspiciously, and Sonya asks if shes walked in on something. But the Rebecchi brothers say that its just brother stuff.
TOADIE: You know how it is.
SONYA: Well, no, I don't have a brother.
TOADIE: You have a sister.
SONYA: Shut up, Jarrod.
Sonya asks if Stonies missus Chantelle is pregnant, but he says she isnt.
STONIE: Not that I know of, anyway.
Sonya is convinced theyre keeping something from her, but Toadie and Stonie continue to deny theres anything going on.
SONYA: I can tell when youre lying, Kevin Rebecchi.
STEPH: Yeah, its like, when your lips move.
Toadie gives Steph a really evil look, communicating that she isnt helping in the slightest. Realising something more serious is afoot, Steph deliberately creates a distraction to end the conversation, sending Sonya to the fridge to look for choccy biccies.
STEPH (to Toadie and Stonie): I hope you know what youre doing.

Karl and Susan are breaking the news to Ben that Angus will be moving in with them, but that theyre not yet sure how long for.
BEN: I don't have to share a room, with him, do I?
Susan confidently informs Ben that they will sort out another room. Ben says he doesnt want any distractions from his focus on his studies, but Karl suggests he might give Angus a second chance.
BEN: Like the one you gave me after the fire?
SUSAN: Yes, something like that.
Harolds Café
Xanthe is still working, while Angus, who is at a table, reintroduces himself. She apologises for not being so communicative when they met earlier, and gives him some free chocolates, remarking that he looks as blah as she feels. Angus explains that his mum is trying to dump him on the Kennedys, and that its not the first time shes abandoned him to boarding schools, holiday clubs etc.
XANTHE: She doesnt seem like the type.
ANGUS: What, rich and self-absorbed?
XANTHE: My mum keeps palming me off too. Except shes just poor and self-absorbed.
Angus gets a call from Sarah, and cancels it, but says he has to go anyway.
ANGUS: But anyone who says they don't want you around, must have rocks in their head.
He gives her a winning smile, then leaves, just as evil Alison and her two stooges come in.
ALISON: You went crying to your gran about my comments on your Insta!
XANTHE: No, I didnt.
ALISON: She called our parents!
XANTHE: What?!
ALISON: And now were in massive trouble. Thanks to you!

Susan is telling Sarah and Ben about her plans to get Angus enrolled at the school as soon as possible. Sarah tells Susan to keep a record of what hes costing them etc, but Susan says that wont be necessary.
KARL: Although, how much does he eat?
Angus comes in. He says he doesnt want to stay with his dad after all, so says he would like to stay with the Kennedys if theyll still have him. Sarahs thrilled that hes changed his mind, and hugs him. Ben looks markedly less thrilled.
ANGUS: I've checked out the neighbours, and they don't look too bad.
The Kennedys promise theyll all do everything they can to make Angus feel at home, before staring pointedly at Ben.
BEN: Yeah. I mean, itll be good to have someone my own age around the place.
SARAH: When you guys start hanging out youll be joined at the hip. I'm gonna sleep so much better knowing youre in good hands.
ANGUS: As long as youre happy (!)
Sarah thanks the Kennedys again. Susan says everything will be fine, but Ben and Angus give each other a look.

Sarah is packing her bags, ready to leave for Germany. Sheila is dying to know how she resolved things with the Kennedys and why Angus is staying with them, but Sarahs staying tight-lipped saying only that the job she has in Germany is an amazing opportunity she couldnt say no to. Sheila apologises for thinking Sarah was out to steal Karl. Sarah says its water under the bridge.
Xanthe marches in, and shouts at Sheila for calling the bullies parents about the social media messages adding that its made things a thousand times worse for her. Xanthe marches out as fast as she came in, despite Sheilas requests to stay and talk. Sarah tells Sheila that she did the right thing; kids need protecting even if they think they don't.

Sonya is on the phone to Lucas. Shes telling him about Toadies weird behaviour recently first his defensive reaction when she went through his files, and then his desperation to get her out of the house when Stonie arrived.
SONYA: I just think theres something more to it than just a random catch-up. Something is off, and Steph is in on it too. Theyre hiding something from me its something big, and I just wish I knew what it was.
Ramsay Street
Sarah is on the phone to Terese, saying she can email her with any (presumably work-related) questions. Meanwhile, Susan and Toadie are loading up the car to take her to the airport. Toadie says goodbye to Sarah, hugging her and wishing her luck.
SARAH: Thank you for being so honest, and for being so open-minded.
TOADIE: You really didnt need to be so mysterious.
SARAH: I know. I shouldve just told you straight away. Saved everyone the heartache.
TOADIE: Well, I'm just glad youre getting the treatment that you need.
SARAH: Well, Id almost lost hope. But then, coming back and seeing all my old friends gave me a new lease on life. I think thats what I've learned from all this the true value of people.
Sarah turns to Susan.
SARAH: I am so sorry for all the hurt I've caused you.
SUSAN: Well, its all in the past. Lets just focus on the future, okay?
SARAH: Thanks for everything.
Susan fetches Karl, while Sarah and Toadie share another hug. Toadie promises to keep an eye on Angus for Sarah.
TOADIE: See you soon.
SARAH: I hope so.

Sarah is back inside, talking to Angus. She is very tearful.
SARAH: You know I wouldnt be going unless it was hugely important, don't you?
ANGUS: Right. We can't have some hotel chain getting a bad rep, now, can we?
SARAH: I'm gonna miss you so much.
She hugs him, and Angus suddenly looks sad. He agrees to email Sarah all the time. Karl appears to take Sarah away, and Susan calls Ben out to say goodbye. Angus continues to look sad, and turns away as Sarah bids tearful goodbyes to the Kennedys and Ben.
KARL: I hope you don't mind me dropping you at the front of the terminal. These parking places, they charge like wounded bulls.
Sarah leaves with Karl, and Susan notices Angus has gone quiet.
SUSAN: You know your mum loves you very much.
ANGUS: Yeah. So much, shes leaving me alone. Again.
SUSAN: Oh, Angus.
ANGUS: Its okay. I'm used to it.
He wanders off to his room. Ben looks reflective.
Later on, when Angus re-emerges, Ben tries to make an effort with him.
BEN: My mums overseas too.
ANGUS: Sounds like theres a bit of an epidemic.
BEN: I'm just saying its cool, you know? I know how you feel.
Once Susans out of the room, Ben continues to be nice to Angus even inviting him to an AFL match. But Angus puts up his defences again.
ANGUS: Look, if you think youre gonna get your money back by being nice to me, youre wrong. I don't need your pity, okay?
BEN: I was just trying to be nice, mate.
ANGUS: Look, you really want to be nice? Help me out. Theres this girl Xanthe.
BEN: Shes a mate.
ANGUS: She seeing anyone?
BEN: No. But shes got really good taste, so I don't think shed go for you, mate.
ANGUS: Well see. I like a challenge.
Giving up on Angus, Ben walks off to his room. Angus looks sad again.
Harolds Café
Alison and her harem are smirking at Xanthe as she works.
ALISON: That dress is tragic.
Xanthe replies that its just comfy. Sheila comes in, and observes as Alison deliberately throws cutlery on the floor so that Xanthe has to pick it up, before further making fun of her clothes.
SHEILA: Oh, so youre one of the girls whos bullying her online, are you?
ALISON: Yeah, so?
SHEILA: can't you see shes upset?
ALISON: Well, like I care!
SHEILA: You can't treat her like this. You are a nasty little brat!
