Outside Erinsborough Childcare Centre
Toadie lies on the ground unconscious and Sonya tries to shake him awake whilst the crowd stares on. Karl rushes to Toadie's side.
KARL: Sonya, Sonya stop! Don't move him! What happened?
NAOMI: The jumping castle got loose, Toadie tried to jump on it, and he was thrown off!
Karl confirms that Toadie is still breathing as an ambulance pulls up.
The Waterhole
Imogen suggests that Daniel should get some ukulele lessons which he reacts to in mock offence. He leans in for a kiss but Imogen stops him, suggesting they should start telling people about their relationship. Imogen wants let people know individually, and she laments about having to burst their private bubble. She receives a text from Susan with a suggestion for a candle lit dinner for her and Daniel, and they come to the conclusion that Paul's been telling everyone. Imogen decides she has to tell her mum, and as she leaves Daniel with a parting kiss, Amber sees them and is stunned to silence.
Outside Erinsborough Childcare Centre
Susan rushes to the scene of the accident just as Toadie is wheeled into the ambulance.
The Waterhole
Imogen has sat Amber down and has a lot of explaining to do.
IMOGEN: He kissed me at the sanctuary, but first I thought it was just a rebound thing so I didn't say anything. But then he kept pursuing me, and all of my feelings came flooding back.
AMBER: Why didn't you tell me?
IMOGEN: Honestly? I could hardly believe it was real at first, and then I just wanted to keep it to myself for a while. I can only imagine how weird this is for you. But it's also a big deal for me, and Daniel too. I'm so sorry you had to find out that way, the last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt you. Amber, can you please just say something? I don't want to lose you, I can't lose you. You're my best friend.
AMBER: You're not going to lose me.
IMOGEN: Really?
AMBER: You guys look really good together. I hope you'll be happy together.
The two girls tearfully hug each other, and laugh about how telling Amber should have been simple.
Penthouse Suite
Daniel scolds Paul for telling Terese about him and Imogen, but Paul isn't sorry for being honest about the situation. Daniel's upset about having to be officially introduced to the family as Imogen's boyfriend, but Paul reminds him that everyone knows how long Imogen's had feelings for him. He advises Daniel that as long as he gets Terese's approval, everything will be fine. Speaking of in-laws, Paul mentions that the situation is still frosty with him and Naomi. He gets interrupted by a phone-call from Sue Parker from the opening of the Childcare centre.
PAUL: Yes Sue, I know I'm supposed to be there, I'm just about to walk out the door-(Sue tells him the news about Toadie). WHAT?!
Erinsborough Hospital
Toadie is wheeled in as Karl briefs Nurse Kryptic about his condition, saying that Toadie's had trauma to his head and he'll need various scans and blood samples taken. Toadie wakes up panicked on the gurney and Sonya and Karl reassure him that Nell is okay and he's just had a bump to the head, but he starts to panic again.
SONYA: What's wrong? What is it?
KARL: Have you got a headache?
TOADIE: No, my legs!
KARL: Are they stinging, or tingling?
TOADIE: No, no I can't feel my legs! Why can't I feel my legs?
Sonya and Karl glance at each other worried.

Ben is still stewing over the text he received and Nate checks in on him. Susan brings Nell in and she explains the situation to the boys. Nate insists that they'll take care of Nell as Susan should go to the hospital.
No. 22
Terese ends a call with Imogen and tells Brad that she's brining Daniel over for lunch. He's less than pleased to hear the news and reminds Terese about how awkward the situation is, but she's just happy that Imogen opening up to them about her life.
BRAD: I still think they're incompatible.
TERESE: What, because he's a dreamer and she's a brain?
Terese reminds Brad that they're own relationship is built on a similar pairing, but Brad insists he's just concerned that Imogen might get hurt and reminds Terese how careless he's been with his own relationships.
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting room
Sonya expresses her fears to Susan who reassures her. Karl enters with news that they can't give Toadie an MRI scan because he still has bullet fragments in his spine from when Guy Sykes shot him, which means that they'll have less information going into surgery. Although he's fractured a vertebrae, Karl reassures Sonya that they have a top spinal surgeon and they'll also try to remove the bullet fragment too. He promises to keep them updated, and Susan gives Sonya her reassurance again.

Terese is pleased to see Brad is preparing lunch, and apologises for drawing comparisons with their own relationship. She dismisses his concerns as being an overprotective father. Imogen and Daniel arrive with flowers for Terese, but Brad greets them with folded arms.
No. 28
Chilling on the sofa, Ben worries about Toadie and opens up to Nate about losing his own father. Nate shares his own experience of losing friends in the army, but before they get too deep they remember they have to entertain Nell and Ben has an idea.
No. 22
Lunch is in progress, and Daniel appears to have won over Terese but the same can't be said for Brad who keeps making jibes at him and gives him the cold shoulder. Daniel compliments the food and Brad tells him the recipe. In the kitchen, Terese tells Brad to give Daniel a chance, whilst Daniel tells Imogen that he's allergic to the capsicum in Brad's Alfredo sauce. As Brad returns to the table, Daniel has a violent allergic reaction and vomits all over Brad's shirt!
The Waterhole
Naomi is panicking about Toadie's accident and Paul tries to calm her down.
PAUL: You're not alone on this one, we'll work it out together.
NAOMI: How can I, it's such a mess!
PAUL: I don't know, but we'll do it together.
Erinsborough Hospital - Waiting room
Sonya is also panicking, and as she goes to call his work she reads a message from Lassiter's asking why she hasn't checked in. She tells Susan about the room they'd booked.
SONYA: We've just been so busy, we've barely been able to look each other in the eye!
SUSAN: You two are doing the best that you can.
SONYA: You think you are, you think you're doing the right thing and then something like this happens and you realise you've had it all wrong. The most important thing is that the people in your life know how much you love them.
SUSAN: Toadie does know that! And so does Nell. This 'what if?' game isn't going to help anyone. What you need are facts, and then you'll know what you're up against. Until then, please, you have to stop torturing yourself!

Brad and Daniel have put on some clean shirts, and Daniel apologises. He tells Brad that he didn't want to tell them about his allergy and make a fuss when he was already worried about Brad hating him. Daniel insists that Brad's opinion is very important to him, and Terese and Imogen eavesdrop over the two men bonding.
BRAD: Woodcarving? You like woodcarving?
DANIEL: Bradley!
BRAD: Come with me!
Imogen and Terese grin in the kitchen. Imogen apologises to Terese for not telling her sooner about Daniel, but she's just glad that Imogen is happy.
No. 28
A battle with brooms and umbrellas is in full swing between Nate and Ben, as they play fight for Nell's affection. The two boys bond and Nate offers Ben an ear if he ever wants to talk, so Ben begins to explain his situation in Ballarat.
Erinsborough Hospital - Toadie's room
Sonya is lying at Toadie's side as he sleeps, and Karl enters with news. The surgery went successfully, although they've had to stabilise his spine with metal rods and the surgeon wasn't able to remove the bullet. Sonya asks if he'll be able to feel his legs, but Karl admits that recovery could take months.
KARL: The long-term prognosis for spinal injuries this varies dramatically from person to person, it's very hard to predict.
SONYA: So where does that leave us then?
KARL: Well it leaves us to see how he is when the swelling goes down. He will need a wheelchair and full time care.
SONYA: A wheelchair?
KARL: I'm sorry. For now, Toadie is effectively paralysed.
Sonya stares at Karl and Toadie in disbelief.
'Neighbours' appears silently on the screen.
- A montage of various clips plays of Toadie throughout his time on Ramsay Street. We see his mullet being chopped, his wrestling days, his wedding, Nell's birth, Dee's death and the accident.
