Lassiter's Complex
Terese is not impressed that Ezra has come back to Lassiter's, but it turns out he is the acquisitions manager. Brad comes over, and challenges Ezra.

BRAD: So does this new boss of yours know you assaulted my wife and got away with it?
EZRA: There are two sides to every story. They believed mine.

He says he knows he can rely on Terese's co-operation, since she is a consummate professional.

No 28
Susan brags that she has lost 1.8kg against Karl's 1.5.

SUSAN: ... which means in the last three weeks, I've burnt more calories than you, which means I win. Or to put that another way - you lose!

Karl wants proof. Susan goes out for a walk, and Georgia arrives saying that Susan looks like she's lost weight.

SUSAN: Well, I have and thanks for noticing. There's your proof, fatty.

Charming.

Karl asks Georgia to help him review Nick's case files to make sure he hasn't being faking any others. Well obviously she's an expert in oncology, isn't she, having been to the ballet with an oncologist? Anyway, Karl says he can pay her to make up the back pay she isn't getting, so she agrees.

Waterhole
Danni tells Josh she'll probably have to do jail time. He tells to take things day by day, and she's not alone. She kisses him and then apologises, saying she doesn't want to make him uncomfortable.

DANNI: Sometimes I think our friendship is the only thing keeping me sane.

He tells her that he had lots of people helping him, and she doesn't. He says that the Turners will forgive her eventually, and promises to come with her to the hearing.

Off Air
Paul and Daniel are discussing Paul's relationship with Naomi. He says it never got started, and if anything happened it would have ruined a good working relationship.

DANIEL: It's a shame, that's all. I thought I saw something there.
PAUL: No, it was always affection, not love.

Daniel asks about Naomi, and Paul says it wasn't based in reality at all - just like Daniel's relationship with Amber (who has just walked in).

DANIEL: Oh, no, you want me to walk away.
PAUL: No, I want you to run.

Paul leaves, commenting to Amber that he'd been right about her, though at least she'd told Daniel the truth.

Amber asks Daniel if he'd like to come to her first ultrasound - he does - and she wants him to move back in. He says he misses her.

Waterhole - outside
Terese and Paul are meeting, and Brad comes over and lays into Paul about his "act of revenge". Paul hasn't a clue what he's talking about. When Terese explains, Paul says Quill had promised a gentle transition.

Waterhole
Ezra comes in and tells Sheila he wants to look the Waterhole's books, as well as arranging a performance review.

EZRA: How's your son by the way? Geoff?
SHEILA: Gary.
EZRA: Ah, yes, Gary. He got six months, right, for assaulting me? Not nearly long enough. Still, what goes around, comes around. Eventually.

Paul comes in and asks why Quill have sent him. Ezra tells him he's heard standards have slipped under Terese's management, and she's employed a bar manager whose son is a criminal.

PAUL: Don't you mess with me, Hanley. In case you've forgotten, my influence as the Mayor of Erinsborough stretches a very, very long way.
EZRA: Maybe. But you're on Quill property now. So your influence doesn't carry any weight here.

Harold's
Brad is preparing his lesson (as you do). He explains to Susan that he was all ready, but one of the other teachers had the same idea. This has come on top of the stress that Terese is feeling... Susan offers to go over and see her. Brad thinks it's a good idea.

Lassiter's
Susan is chatting to Terese, when Ezra appears and tells them not to socialise on company time. Susan goes, and Ezra asks Terese about Sharon Canning's cruise. Terese claims that she was a very suitable candidate, but Ezra points out she was the *only* candidate. He says he's going to put her on reception until he decides he can trust her. She's fuming.

Off Air
Paul is on the phone.

PAUL: If you think anything positive can come out of putting that megalomaniac in charge, you're seriously deluded.

It's no use, and he complains to Daniel that Quill took advantage of him when he was vulnerable, so he will have to come up with another plan. He asks how Daniel got on with Amber, and he says he's moving back into No 32. Paul thinks it's a stupid idea.

PAUL: Do you... do you want to raise another man's child, do you?
DANIEL: No matter what happens, I'll love that baby as if it's my own.
PAUL: Yeah, but you're not married, you had got an out.
DANIEL: I don't need an out.

Paul says if it had been him, he would have found a way to let his anger out. Daniel retorts that it's a good thing he's not Paul.

No 28
Karl asks Georgia what she's doing for Mother's Day, and just to help viewers who've forgotten, he reminds us she's called "Rhonda". Georgia says she's missing nursing, and he says that the feeling is mutual. She says that reading through these files puts her feelings in perspective.

GEORGIA: I can't imagine how awful it would be to have one last chance of treatment and then have that taken away all over again.

He says she would give them the support they needed, and asks if she'll come back. She agrees.

Harold's
Daniel apologises to Amber for the way Paul behaved. He tells her that he told Paul that he wants to love and raise the baby. She says that Paul doesn't see it the same way, but suggests they forget Paul and enjoy their dinner.

No 28
Karl comments that Nick has been thorough and everything seems to be fine with his other patients. He turns over the next file. The name is BROOKS, RHONDA. Georgia notices his expression, but they are interrupted by the arrival of the pizza.

Waterhole
Amber and Daniel walk in, and Susan congratulates them on the "lovely news" that they are going to become parents, saying when two people love each other sometimes it's meant to be. Awkward. It becomes even more awkward when they spot Josh and Danni having a meal. Daniel wants to leave, but Amber says they should stay. Danni feels uncomfortable but Josh tells her not to worry.

Lassiter's reception
It's late and Terese is still working. Brad has brought her a meal, and she explains to him that she is showing commitment to her job. She tells him that Ezra is determined to make her quit - he did that to a colleague of hers in Perth. She's going through her contract to see what he can and can't do.

TERESE: If Ezra thinks I'm going without a fight, he's sadly mistake.

Waterhole
Sheila is on the phone to someone, saying that "he's got it in for her".

Daniel can't eat, and says they should have gone somewhere else. Amber says she's not bothered, but he points out she keeps looking over.

Danni wants to skip dessert and leave. Josh says there's no need to leave just because Daniel and Amber are there.

No 28
Susan comes in, telling Karl about Ezra being back. Karl says he is worried about a patient of Nick's. He says he's rung their oncologist and is waiting to hear back. Susan asks about ringing the patient, but he says it should be done face to face. She tells him to get some rest.

Lassiter's reception
Ezra is looking at a Willis family photo. There's a desk opposite the reception area, which he tells her is her new desk as he's taken over her office. She tells him he can't demote her, but he asks if her contract says anything about her office... and she admits it doesn't.

Waterhole
Amber and Daniel, Josh and Danni are still having dinner. Daniel runs out of patience and goes over to Josh and Danni, telling Josh he is trying to upset Amber. Amber tries to stop him. Daniel tells Danni that Josh is using him, and Josh tells him to back off. Amber tells them to stop.

JOSH: Come on, let's get out of here.
DANIEL: Good riddance.
JOSH: Not very Zen, mate.
DANIEL: What was that? (Daniel grabs Josh)
JOSH: Oh, you're going to make a great dad, aren't you?

Daniel punches Josh in the face.
