Number 30
Late one evening. To the delightful strumming of an acoustic guitar, Toadie looks through photos of him and Sonya, reminiscing about their relationship. He looks through his wallet and sees tickets from a show they attended, together. Callum walks from the kitchen to the bedroom with a glass of water and notices his dad on the sofa, all sad.

The following morning Callum is up early, playing on the Wii, and Toadie comes in, asking him to turn it down - he didn't sleep well. Toad goes for a shower and Cal opens the door to find an envelope with his name on the doorstep - it contains photos of him and his family.

Harold's Store
Sophie's helping Kate out during her school holidays. Mark comes in, orders a coffee and banters with Kyle who's taking a day off. Kyle tells Mark that he's about to be homeless as his mate's kicking him out - does he know of anywhere to stay? Mark doesn't, but hands him a paper to look in the classifieds. Sophie is confused by Kate, Mark and Kyle all seemingly being friends now - and Kate's just as confused.

Number 26
There's a knock at the door and Charlie runs to open it, rudely ignoring his nan who tells him to eat his breakfast. Brat. Why are the kids on this show never polite? Do parents not reinforce good manners anymore? Anyway, the Ks are at the door, Karl with his toolbox, Susan with a cake. Lyn apologises to the Ks for Charlie's behaviour, saying he's been having tantrums and sulks.

Karl and Susie follow Lyn to the kitchen, and Karl says he's here to help Lyn fix her cupboard doors. Lyn seems enthusiastic until she sees Susan standing behind her husband, wildly gesticulating at her NOT to take Karl up on his offer. Lyn makes some quick excuses, but it doesn't matter because Karl's pager bleeps and he's needed urgently at the hospital. He apologises and leaves, and Susan tells Lyn that her cupboard has had a very lucky escape.

Lyn admits to Susan that things are okay, but Charlie's behaviour is going downhill; she hoped he'd be happy once they got back into their home. She says that Charlie keeps rushing to the door when someone knocks - he seems to think it's going to be Steph. Lyn admits that the house doesn't quite feel like home yet to her, either...but maybe there's something she can do...

Cut to later where Kyle is putting up some framed photos for Lyn in her lounge. He thought they would have been burnt in the fire so she explains she had to get copies of ones that Joe had. Lyn calls Charlie to come and see the picture, but he yells 'no' and refuses. Lyn debates where to put the other photos, and wonders if the spare room would be a good place for the family one - and Kyle's ears prick up...she has a spare room?!

Number 30
Callum's looking at the photos left on the doorstep but when Toadie calls him he stuffs them in his bag. Toad asks his son how he's feeling about things, especially Sonya, and whilst Callum seems to want to talk, he doesn't want to hurt his dad, so he says nothing.

When Toadie leaves, Callum gets out his phone and starts texting...

Number 24
Sonya is asking Jade if she's taken anything of hers from her box of 'stuff' - some things are missing. Jade hasn't, but Lucas comes in, and Sonya immediately asks him where her photos are. Lucas pretends not to know, but seeing Jade's face admits that he took some things to Toadie - if Toad realises that she loves him it might make things better.

Sonya is furious, and Jade refuses to support Lucas on this one. Lucas tells her that everything will be alright and quickly leaves. Sonya gets a text from Callum: he wants to see her.

Number 30 / Number 24
Callum's phone rings and it's Sonya. She says she'd like to see him, too, and they agree to have lunch at her house. Sonya makes him promise to clear it with Toadie and Cal agrees.

When Toadie asks his son who that was on the phone, he lies and says it was Sophie; they're going to hang out together today.

Harold's Store
Toadie says hi to Mark when Kyle and Lyn come in - Lyn is giving him some banana cake on the house for all the work he's done, and goes into the kitchen. Mark asks Kyle if he's found somewhere to live yet, so Kyle nods towards the kitchen and says he has a plan.

MARK: Does it involve sleeping in Harold's kitchen? 'Cos that would be called squatting.
KYLE: Yeah, but think of all the free food.
MARK: (deadpan) No, seriously. What's your plan. Now I'm curious.
KYLE: I'm going to make myself indispensible.
MARK: To who?
KYLE: To the lady with the spare bedroom, and the big hunk of cake.

Lyn comes out with cake and says she'll go and get money out to pay Kyle for his work, but Kyle refuses - it's all on the house. Mark decides to have some fun, and reminds Kyle that he was just saying how he can't even afford to buy nails.

MARK: You can't be a handyman without nails.
KYLE: I have stacks of nails.

Kyle insists on not being paid, and Lyn is pleased.

Number 26
Susan and Lyn are chatting in the kitchen and Lyn tells Susan that Kyle is working for free. Kyle walks in and asks what she's doing with her spare room - he could take out the packing cases for her to free up some room, especially if she wants to rent it out, or something...

Susan clicks, and points out that Kyle's looking for somewhere. Lyn apologises, but she has Charlie and Summer to think about, so she can't take him in. She also says that she will pay Kyle, especially if he's been doing this for free in the hope of getting her spare room!

KYLE: No. No way. We had a deal. End of story.

Charlie's
Toadie arrives to meet a colleague and Lucas wants to speak to him - Sonya knows he took the photos, and now he wants to know if Toadie has reconsidered anything. Toadie concedes that maybe Sonya did care, and Lucas wants to know if she can be forgiven.

TOADIE: Even if I could, Callum can't. He's still hurting. And he's the one who matters in all this.

Number 24
Callum tentatively knocks on the door and his face is all excited when Sonya answers. He thanks her for the photos and wonders if it's really a picture of him - all babies look the same to him. Sonya tells him he was very cute as a baby.

Sonya's made hamburgers and Callum is dead pleased to be there.

SONYA: It's good to see you, Cal.
CALLUM: (smiling broadly) Yeah.

Cut to later where they're looking at more photos, and there's one of Sonya's mum. Sonya admits that she doesn't really remember her mum and Callum sympathises; he hated not being able to remember her. He also wants to know more - and he doesn't want Sonya to hide anything from him. She hands him her file for him to read in his own time so they can talk after he's read it.

Callum packs the file away when Jade comes in. Callum admits that Toadie doesn't know he's here, and Sonya's upset - this isn't a good idea. Callum asks his mum to keep it between them, just for a little bit longer.

Number 26
Meanwhile, at the Scullys, Susan's on babysitting duties as Lyn goes to work. But Charlie doesn't want his granny to go, and so Kyle entertains him by getting him to help with his toolbox. Lyn makes a quick exit.

Harold's Store
Lucas runs into Sonya and tells her that he's sorry for what he did, but Toadie might have changed his mind...

Kyle comes in and Lyn tells him that he can have the room if he wants it: he was so good with Charlie. Kyle is over the moon, and Lyn suggests a month trial period.

Back with Lucas and Sonya, Lucas is telling her how Toadie is cautious about forgiving her because he doesn't want Callum getting hurt. He points out that if Toadie knew she and Cal were getting on it could change everything. Sonya says she can't; she promised Callum.

Charlie's
Toadie tells Karl that Callum is still struggling, but he's out with Sophie today which should cheer him up. Karl points out that Soph is sitting with Kate across the bar...

Sophie is teasing Kate about how cool it will be to have Kyle living so close. Kate feigns innocence. Toadie comes over and wonders where Callum is, but Kate and Sophie haven't got a clue - they've not even spoken today. Toadie realises there's a problem and goes home.

Number 30
Callum's about to open some papers from Sonya's file when Toadie gets home. He stuffs them down the side of the sofa. Toadie wonders what Cal did with Sophie - because he's seen Soph who knew nothing.

Callum tells his dad that he was down at the lake all day so he could be alone to think about stuff. He's fine, and he doesn't need to talk about anything. Convinced that everything's okay, Toadie goes to make dinner instead.
