No. 32
Steph is on the hunt for Izzy's mobile and Boyd isn't with it when she asks if he's seen it. Steph leaves to phone the mobile and Summer asks Boyd who is here as she heard him talking to someone. Boyd replies Sky, and Summer points out she is at Lassiters for the opening so Boyd covers his tracks and says he spoke to her on the phone and strangely asks Sum if he should be there. Steph has found Izzy's mobile so they all leave.
Scarlet Bar
The opening party is still in full swing with Eva singing her heart out. Lyn brings over a bottle of bubbly to celebrate Janelle getting the apprenticeship after initially trying to wind her up by making her think she hadn't got it. Apparently everyone at the salon loves her and she gets upset as she thinks her boys don't but Lyn tells her the boys will be proud of her getting the apprenticeship.
School
Susan runs into Gary (who Sindi got the money for Stu's op from) as she is trying to escape the yoga class and after a bit of a chat, they agree to give it a go.
The General Store
Boyd has eventually turned up and gets an earful from Sky for not being there earlier. Boyd asks what he can do to help so Sky tells him to do the dishes and then she'll forgive him. Lyn and Janelle see Stinger and Dylan having something to eat and go in and tell them about her apprenticeship. Stinger is really pleased for her, Dylan less so. Janelle tells them that since she got the job, she's going to send for their sisters so they can be a family. Again Stinger is pleased but Dylan says that she and the girls can be family but that he and Stinger are on their own. Lyn and Janelle leave and Dylan tells Stinger she'll let them down just like before.
Scarlet Bar
Summer is quizzing Steph as to why the bar isn't called 'Max's' like Max & Izzy previously agreed. Thinking quick Steph says they would have discussed it before he left. Eva comes over and tells Toadie she's got an audition at the Jazz club so he offers to be her lawyer during contract negotiations, but Eva tells him she requires him for other things! Summer teases Toadie for being in love.
School
The yoga class is still going and the instructor is picking on Susan and Gary for not being dedicated. The instructor wants the class to work as couples and Susan says that she and Gary are not one, but the instructor tells them to get on with it - they are a couple now.
No. 26
Mrs HandyAndy has been hassling Lyn again in a phonecall and Janelle tells her she did nothing wrong, and suggests they go see a comedy film to cheer her up. Whilst checking the listings she comes across an advert for a hard rubbish collection aka a scavenger hunt, and thinks it could be a good way to get back in favour with her boys so Lyn tells her to go.
School
The class is coming to an end and Susan and Gary still not giving it their undivided attention. Susan hopes she sees him again and Gary suggests drinks instead and they formally introduce each other.
No. 30 backyard
Eva tells Toadie she didn't get the job because she didn't have the right image for the club and tells him to forget about it. Toadie looks concerned.
Ramsay Street
Dylan and Stingray are crossing the street and to Dylan's annoyance Stingray asks Janelle what she's up to. Janelle says she's off to the hard rubbish collection in Eden Hills. Dylan isn't impressed and drags Stingray away. Lyn who's now joined them prompts Janelle to ask them to come with her. Stingray wants to go but Dylan tells him if he does, then they are not brothers any more. Stingray decides he is going and Janelle has another shot at getting Dylan to come by saying there is enough room for him but he says there isn't and leaves.
Scarlet Bar
Gary and Susan are having their drink after the class chatting idly about mid-life crises. He tells her he got involved with something lately (oh would that have anything to do with Sindi?) that he isn't proud of and wanted to change. Susan is surprised by thinking yoga could help change a person.
Steph is on the phone to Max telling him about how the bar looks, especially the colour scheme. Summer just about pulls the phone from Steph to talk to her dad. She attempts to tell him about the bar's name and Steph quickly grabs the phone from her before she can't tell him and hangs up on him by saying her battery is going to go flat.
Boyd and Sky come in for a look and she wishes they were 18 so they could come in without a chaperone. Somehow or other Boyd thinks she's asked him to dance, and he drags a bemused Sky up to dance.
Steph comes over to Susan wanting the gossip on her date (he's gone off somewhere). Susan says she they're in the same yoga, that's all which Steph doesn't believe.
No. 30 backyard
Toadie is offering to go to court on Eva's behalf, which she doesn't want to happen. He asks if this has happened to her before (being rejected because of her size) and when she says it's a losing battle not to be judged on her looks as a performer. He tells her it is a cop out (not doing something about it) and what about other people who have to go through similar stuff. Eva says she isn't their responsibility and doesn't want to become a "poster girl for the plus sized" which annoys Toadie. Eva picks this up as him having a go at her for being fat and tells him to look in the mirror too since he isn't Brad Pitt. Toadie is speechless so Eva leaves.
Hard rubbish collection
Janelle has found some cuddly toys, which she thinks could be used for the girl's room. She also comes across a decision ball and asks, "does Scotty still loves his mum?" - the ball says yes. They load the ute up with "goodies" as Dylan pulls up in his car. Janelle thinks he's about to have another go at her, but he's spotted a colour TV that she has missed and they go off to find more "goodies". Janelle at last looks happy.
Scarlet Bar
Susan notices the time on her watch and says she has to go. Gary asks her out on a proper date the next time as they leave. Summer is again quizzing Steph why she stopped her from telling Max the name of the bar. Steph says that Max doesn't know the name has been changed and she'd rather not tell him... just yet. Summer spots Sky & Boyd still dancing and mentions to Steph that Boyd has been acting weird lately. Steph tries to pass it off as Boyd adjusting to things that have happened lately in his life but Summer gives the impression she doesn't buy it.
Boyd suddenly stops dancing because he thinks people are staring at them for being the only ones dancing. Sky tries to make a joke out of it but Boyd says it is embarrassing and tells her that it is the last time she's taking him up to dance. Sky reminds him that he took her up to dance and Boyd denies it. When Sky asks if he's "gone nuts" feigns that he was just joking and sarcastically apologises for his sense of humour being different from hers. He leaves to do homework and Sky looks puzzled.
Hard rubbish collection
The boys are loading up the ute with just about anything they can lay their hands on including a dryer which happened to be delivered on the same day as hard rubbish day that they return when the owner appears. Janelle brings up again about being a family and Dylan tells her not to rush it (him becoming part of the family), which she agrees to do so.
No. 30 backyard
Toadie is apologising to Eva's voicemail when she walks in behind him. She apologises for overreacting earlier and Toadie apologises too for telling her what she should and shouldn't be doing. She thanks him for caring for her, which he says he's glad to do. Eva asks if they are getting serious which he thinks they are and she agrees to do something about her image now.
No.32
Boyd is typing his symptoms - confusion, mood swings and hallucinations - into a self-diagnosis search engine. It comes up with a possible diagnosis - schizophrenia. Before Boyd can digest this, Summer comes in asking what he's up to, so after quickly switching off the computer says studying. Summer doesn't believe him so Boyd tells her to rack off (so he can digest what the computer came up with).
No. 26
Janelle and the boys are showing off the colour TV to Lyn and Oscar, and Janelle offers it to her for her bedroom. Janelle tells her it is a leaving present for so she can settle and get her family in order. Lyn takes it that the boys will be moving in with Janelle now but they don't answer, so Janelle again consults the decision ball and will go with whatever it says.
JANELLE: Oh bringer of Motherly happiness, will Scotty and Dylan make my dreams come true?
And the decision ball says... sources say no, so Janelle now calls it a piece of junk and tells them they can decide if they want to be part of the family or break her heart. The boys say nothing.
