Recap
Declan talks to Summer and she punches him - Lou says he'll spend extra money to keep Trixie happy - Stuart says he'll move out
Coffee Shop
Connor asks Stuart if he and Toadie can join him. Stuart reacts coldly. Connor suggests he's going too far by moving out, but he replies that 'mates' care about your beliefs and choices. They insist that they're against not him personally, just Life Mechanics, but he replies that he's seen the truth - that they're bad passengers. Toadie points out that he can't even talk like a normal person any more. Stuart just replies that he'll pack his bags and move out of No 30 in the morning, so Toadie warns him as he walks out that he shouldn't expect them to be there to pick up the pieces. Connor follows Toadie out, while Stuart just looks thoughtful.
Community Hall
Izzy, Steph and Max deliver Summer to the Hall which is set up like a gym. Max points out that there are no girls there and Izzy notices that the boys also seem much older. Immediately after they leave to meet Lyn, Summer spies Declan over the other side. They argue a bit about who had the first idea and who is a copycat, then who will win a sparring match.
Pub
Lou questions Joe about some building stuff he's moving in. Joe answers that it's for the under floor ducting, which Lou thinks he deleted. Joe points out that Lou later reinstated it and since it's good quality stuff he's out of pocket and would like a cash advance. After some questions from Joe about his cash-flow, Lou refuses to reimburse him now, saying he needs to get on with the work faster so he can be paid sooner.
Hall
Summer and Declan's sparring stops when Declan pulls a funny face. They talk after the match is declared a draw. Declan asks if she wants to come to the movies with him and two friends, but she refuses. He replies that's cool and she looks a bi thoughtful.
Coffee Shop
Lyn's back and Steph's cuddling Oscar. She tells Lyn that Max and Joe spoilt her in the meantime. Lyn describes the shopping sprees she and the girls went crazy on in New York, to Joe's dismay. Stuart comes in and says hello. Steph checks that he still wants her to help with the backlog today and Lou overhears him telling Steph that he'll be gone from work for bits and pieces of time and tackles him about it. He comments that the previous month's takings have been the lowest ever and Stuart is arriving late and leaving early, so there's an enormous backlog. Stuart tries to protest that he has a lot to do, moving etc, but Lou makes it his third warning that if he doesn't lift his game, he'll be sacked on the spot. The Scullys just look on, embarrassed.
Hoylands'
Izzy and Max question Summer, who's a bit subdued and quiet since they got home. She eventually goes off, saying she's fine and it's got nothing to do with Declan. She tells them she saw Declan and he asked her to go out. Max wants her to wait a while as she's so young and Izzy backs him up. Summer responds that Izzy always speaks quite differently in the girl chats they've been having, when she's been teaching Summer to wrap boys around her little finger and saying she's never too young to learn. Max is very interested and Summer beats a hasty retreat as Izzy tries to say that it was just a game and not serious. Izzy says she wouldn't dare try to wrap Max round her little finger, but he just grins.
Pub
Steph chats to Stuart about clearing the backlog if they both work right through. She goes off to return the dishes just after Jonathan arrives, promising Lou that she'll get Stuart back to work. Jonathan tells her work is good for her in the circumstances and he understands, having been through the diagnosis nightmare and he proceeds to give her a talk about his disease being conquered by the mind which can make you well just as it can make you sick. She gets very angry when he seems to suggest that she harboured bad thoughts which gave her cancer. Stuart won't leave with her and tells Jonathan that he wishes people would understand. Jonathan replies hat not everyone can.
No 30
Steph comes to see Stuart, who's packing. He's very curt as she tells him that she's got as far as she can with some work on a Corolla and Lou was very serious about sacking him. She covered for Stuart by telling Lou he was off getting spare parts when he came along to check up. Just then Lou arrives and when he tries to make Stuart go back to work and clear the backlog, Stuart tells him to shove his job.
Hoylands'
Steph tells Izzy and Max that she tried all day to get Stuart to see reason, but it's as though he's not there any more. Izzy and Max tell Steph about Declan's request to take Summer to the movies. Eventually Steph comes up with a plan that they will go along and sit at the other side of the cinema where they can keep an eye on them.
No 30
Jonathan is helping Stuart pack and Toadie comments to Connor that the rift with Stuart's all his fault as he set mates against mates. Connor is reluctant when Toadie suggests they do some digging to find some dirt on Jonathan and make him pay.

Izzy is painting her nails.
MAX: I was getting myself all tired up in knots then Steph comes in with the perfect answer. Oh gee, she's great like that, you know supporting me, supporting the kids.
IZZY: She's always very helpful. (Summer is listening around the corner)
MAX: She's the best in every way I can think of. You know I've been thinking a lot lately and um, I've decided to ask Steph to marry me. (Summer is quietly jumping up and down) you know, just seems like the time is right, you know when everything is back on track.
IZZY (looking stunned): I don't know what to say
MAX: Well don't say anything and don't say a word to anyone, I'm serious about that
IZZY: I wouldn't blab why would I?
(Summer runs off)
MAX: You don't approve.
IZZY: I didn't say that, I just think...
MAX: Go on .
IZZY: You sure you're not rushing into things?
MAX: No. As I said I've been thinking about it for ages.
IZZY: Yeah, but it's a big Steph and I don't want to see you get hurt again.
MAX: You mean the cancer might come back, yeah.
IZZY: Yeah.
MAX: I can handle it.
IZZY: Can you?
MAX: Yeah, I want Steph to know that I'm going to be there for her whatever happens, every step of the way. (Izzy doesn't look happy)
Scullys'
Summer asks Lyn if she had fun in New York. Lyn tells Summer she has a present for her and starts to look for it. Summer asks where Steph is. Lyn tells her She's lying down. Summer comments about Oscar being so small. Joe is eating in the kitchen listening to them.
SUMMER: If Steph and dad got married he'd be my Uncle wouldn't he?
LYN: Oh, I suppose her would
SUMMER: That'll be funny.
LYN: Summer, what did you mean by 'that will be funny'?
SUMMER: It's just that... You know, I'm bigger than he is and usually Uncles are bigger than nieces. That all I meant by that, honest
LYN: But you said it as if you know something
SUMMER: Did I?
LYN: Summer, are Steph and Dad engaged?
SUMMER: No.
LYN: Summer...
SUMMER: I can't say anything.
LYN: But you know something
SUMMER: Yeah but I'm not supposed to know anything.
(Lyn rushes over and shuts the door to the bedrooms)
SUMMER: I just overheard Dad and Izzy talking and he swore her to secrecy.
LYN: What did he say? Summer, please I won't tell anybody I promise.
SUMMER: Are you sure?
LYN: Cross my heart and hope to die.
SUMMER: Ok, Dad's going to ask Steph to marry him.
LYN: Definitely, you mean definitely?
SUMMER: Yes.
Joe looks shocked, stops eating his chips/crisps while Lyn and Summer hold hands and start jumping up and down.
LYN: Are you sure, are you sure?
SUMMER: Yes, yes.
(Lyn and Summer hug...)
SUMMER: Yes. Isn't it so romantic!
Joe eats his chip/crisp, looking perturbed.
Jonathon's
Jonathon is showing Stuart around his huge home. Stuart asks if money from Life Mechanics bought the house. Jonathon tells him he helped a man through Life Mechanics and he just happened to be on the top 20 rich list.
Scullys'
Lyn, Joe and Oscar are in the kitchen. Steph walks out of the bedrooms and can here them talking.
LYN: Ooh.
JOE: Don't go getting carried away Lynnie, it hasn't happened yet.
LYN: I can't help getting excited Joe, I mean if anybody deserves a big dose of happiness it's our Steph, especially after that last fiasco but the timing is just right, everything's right this time. Don't you reckon?
JOE: Well, Max has hung in there for her I'll give him that.
LYN: He loves her Joe there's no question.
(Steph smiles)
JOE: Well he works hard, good with his kids...sort of. I just hope they keep it casual.
LYN: Joe don't start. There's not going to be a problem ok?
(Steph looks confused)
JOE: Lynnie the cost of a wedding, it's not exactly great timing.
LYN: Yeah well I don't suppose they're going to do a big sit down do for hundreds of people.
JOE: Nibblies for 50 would wipe us out love.
LYN: Would you stop worrying, you just remember to act really surprised when she tells us, you know that Max has popped the question.
(Steph looks shocked)
JOE: When do you reckon he'll do it?
LYN: I don't know but it's better be soon. The suspense is killing me.
Steph is still standing there stunned.
Jonathan's
Jonathon asks Stuart if he wants to stay in his house as he has to go interstate to set up some more branches. Stuart accepts and thanks him. Jonathon tells Stu he wants him to take over the running of Life Mechanics while he's gone and become the Victorian head of the group.

Steph brings over half a cake that Joe and Lyn couldn't finish
SUMMER: Hey Steph, have you seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding?
STEPH: Ah, not yet, why?
SUMMER: Well, it's hilarious and we've got it on video so maybe you should stay and watch it.
STEPH: Ah, yeah sounds good but not tonight though.
SUMMER: Why not? Where you going? Who you seeing?
MAX: Hang on Summer, she doesn't have to answer that. Actually there was a question I wanted to ask you.
SUMMER: Well, I'll be in the backyard if anybody needs me.
STEPH: I should go too.
MAX: No, No, this won't take a minute. Just, look, I'll understand if you can't say yes. (Max gets down on one knee to clean up something off the table) But I want to ask you, Steph, if you could pick up Summer from school on Monday.
STEPH (looking relived): Yes, yeah.
(Max stands up)
MAX: I wouldn't normally ask but Izzy's busy and I'm flat tack at the pub what with Lou turning the place inside out for the Tucker twins.
STEPH: Right, yeah, look that's not problem any time.
MAX: I thought you'd say that which is why, um, well look, I hope you don't think I'm being too pushy but I wanted to get you this
STEPH (looking away): No Max, look I know what you're going to say.
MAX (looking confused): What? What?
STEPH: What's in your hand?
MAX: It's just a spare key so you can pick up Summer.
Steph (laughing): Key ok. Yeah ok, sure, right. Well I'm sorry I've got to rush off. I've got to meet a friend at the pub
MAX: Alright.
STEPH: I'll see you tomorrow. See ya
They kiss and Steph runs out and as she pulls the door behind it Summer appears, she's been hiding listening to them. Max looks confused.
