Recap
- Pam takes Dave and Sam off to get beer.
- Mark tells Annalise that they keep fighting, he's not sure what he wants. Maybe they could work it out.
- A woman is trying to buy home- brew off Doug and Macca
- Sam is shocked that Marlene is Cheryl's mum.
- Rick overhears a phone conversation between police about Doug and Lou. He urges Cody to tell Doug quickly.
Pub
Cody tells Rick to stall the cops while she rushes to warn Doug.
Kia-Ora house
Pam and the guys have arrived to get beer.
Coffee Shop
Mark comes in. He tells Danni that he won't be in tomorrow and she worries that she won't be able to cope. He says he's splitting up with Annalise, so it's all a bit difficult.
Pub
Rick is telling Mark that some people lose their identity within a relationship. Mark says he's done his best to keep her happy.
The police come in a tell Rick that someone let down their tyres.
RICK: Really?(!)
He offers them a soft drink while they wait for a replacement car.
Kia-Ora house
Pam and the boys are having a beer. They chat about Marlene and Sam is evasive.
Coffee Shop
Marlene comes in and orders a cup of tea. She's been looking at rentals locally that she can stay in while Sam is painting. Danni suggests that Marlene can stay at their place. Marlene isn't sure as she is a strange to Danni. She relents and agrees though - as long as Lou agrees too.
Kia- Ora house
Pam and the boys have had a lot of beers. Doug, Macca and Lou arrive with Megan too. Doug moans that they're drinking the profits.
Outside, Doug tells Pam off for inviting the bikers to drink beer. He's feeling very left out.
Cody rushes up and tells them that the cops are on their way.
Back inside, Megan is about to buy beer off Lou when Doug rushes in and says they are giving away the beer.
MEGAN: I was intending to pay for it...
DOUG: Pay?! Don't be silly!
Doug suggests donating the beer to charity, like the Policeman's Ball and Pam and Cody enthusiastically back him up(!)
They all start to catch on.
MACCA: I wish you'd stop waving that money around, it's embarrassing!

Marlene has arrived. She asks Danni about Cheryl a bit. Danni says that Cheryl left school as soon as she could and went to work in a shop. Marlene is surprised to hear that Cheryl won the lottery and owns a house and a hotel. They chat about the accident too.
MARLENE: I'm beginning to feel just like one of the family already!
Kia- Ora House
The police have turned up. They admit that Doug and co haven't done anything wrong. Pam wonders who dobbed them in - apparently it was a complaint against Lassiter's. Maybe Parkside Pacific.

Lou comes in with some bottles of beer and tells them that he nearly went to jail tonight(!) He's surprised to see Marlene there and she makes a sharp exit to her room. Danni explains that she's invited Marlene to stay.
LOU: We hardly know the woman!
DANNI: This is a perfect opportunity to get to know her!
LOU: I'm not sure that I *want* to.
DANNI: Hey. I thought you two were lifetime members of the Elvis fan club!
LOU: Well, yeah, there is that...
DANNI: Come on Lou...please?

Mark is in a bad mood about Annalise. He picks a fight with Dave about his childhood. Dave points out that he was loved, fed and had a good education. That was the best he could do. Mark apologises.
Coffee Shop, the following morning
Pam sees Marlene and introduces herself. Marlene takes offence at Pam's comments about moving "at her age".
PAM: So why did you choose Erinsborough, do you know people here?
MARLENE: One or two.
PAM: Oh, really, well, I might know them because I'm a community nurse, I drop in on quite a few of the elderly around here.
MARLENE: Well, I don't mix with the old codgers a great deal. They bore me stiff. So, if you're trying to sell me anything with Senior Cits or anything of that nature, forget it.
PAM: Wouldn't dream of it.
MARLENE: Good.
An awkward silence descends.
Carpenter's Cars
Dave has brought Lou a coffee and a croissant, and asks after a car. Lou says he has to pick Cheryl up for a day visit today. He's only just heard, so it'll be a surprise to the kids.
Ramsay Street
A icecream/fish and chips/hot dog van arrives in the street, driven by Dave. He gives Danni and Marlene and spinach pie each.
Mark, Doug and Pam come out. Mark thinks the van looks great and is amazed that it's actually a present - for Mark!

Marlene and Danni are eating their spinach pies. Danni remembers that Lou told her to put a surprise lunch together. Marlene offers to help her put something together from leftovers.

Rick is amazed at Mark's new van and thinks it's great. He says that Mark could go round the festivals selling great food and Mark likes that idea.

Danni is impressed with the stew Marlene has made. Sam comes in.
LOU: Surprise!
DANNI: Mum!
She runs over to hug Cheryl and Marlene looks horrified.
CHERYL: Look at this place, eh? Oh...you must be Sam.
SAM: That's me. Pleased to meet you at last.
CHERYL: Same here.
Marlene has come up behind Sam.
CHERYL: And who's this?
SAM: You mean, you don't recognise her?
CHERYL: No.
MARLENE: They didn't tell me you were pregnant. Another grand- child.
Cheryl freezes.
LOU: Grandchild?
MARLENE: It's been...how long? Too many years.
CHERYL:(coldly) Get out of my house.
MARLENE: Cheryl, I...
CHERYL: I don't know why you're here or how you're here but I want you to go, and I want you to go now.
