MARLENE: Well, don't stand there like a stunned mullet!
SAM: You can't be Cheryl's mum!
MARLENE: Are you going to tell me that a sixteen hour labour was just a bad dream?!
SAM: Brett and Danni, they didn't even recognise you!
MARLENE: They've never seen me before in their lives, that's why. Cheryl went with her father when we split up, she was just a girl.
SAM: Thanks a lot, Nan, you could have told me!
MARLENE: Don't start getting thingy with me, Sam. I have my reasons. Are you sure Cheryl's OK?
SAM: Yeah, she'll be home in a couple of weeks.

They go on to talk about Marlene's stuff and she says all the stuff have been taken care of now. Marlene appears to be slightly on the dodgy side when it comes to buying and selling!

SAM: Nan, those kids will be stoked. Not to mention Lou!
MARLENE: Lou? Who's Lou?
SAM: He used to live here, remember? Your mate Simmo flogged his stuff by mistake. Cheryl's boyfriend.
LOU: Oh, yeah, right, Cheryl's boyfriend. I might have to meet this Lou.
SAM: If Brett and Danni don't know, I mean, what's Cheryl...
MARLENE: Cheryl has told them a load of twaddle. I don't know...probably that I died before they were born.
SAM: She's be rapt to see you. How long has it been? Maybe we can get a lift to the hospital with the kids and you can have a reunion!

Yes, that sounds like a great idea(!)

MARLENE: Now, look, just hold your horses. I don't know how Cheryl's going to take all this. Now, just play it close to your chest. Not a word to the kids, and not a word to this Lou person.
SAM: You're the boss.
MARLENE: Woe betide anyone who forgets it!

Hannah brings out a load of toys to sell in the garage sale. Phil is taken aback that she wants to get rid of them all - saying the bunny is one of *his* favourites - he cuddles it!

Hannah says she's outgrown them.

When she's gone, Phil and Helen talk about kids wanting to grown up.

Ramsay Street
Lou, Annalise and Gaby are setting out their stalls. Marlene comes along for a look to see if there are any bargains!

SAM: Lou, I'd like you to meet my grandmother, Marlene Kratz.
MARLENE: This is Lou?
LOU: Indeed it is. So, you're the famous Marlene. Nice to meet you, Mrs Kratz.
MARLENE: Oh, Marlene.
LOU: Good to put a face to the name!

Marlene apologises about the stuff under the house. Then Lou tries to flog her a few things(!)

Hospital
Cheryl gives Brett a list of targets and gives him a mobile phone so he can keep her up to date! He unenthusiastically says that he'll do his best.

Mark and Dave are taking some stuff out to the street to sell. Mark has got some of Annalise's "techno rubbish" CDs to sell(!) He tells Dave he's not really selling them, he's just playing a trick on her.

Ramsay Street
Lou is aggressively trying to sell his wares(!) He hands over to Brett while he goes to buy some chutney off Dave.

Across the road, Marlene is telling a heavily pregnant Gaby that she's had six children!

MARLENE: Still, in my day they didn't have the wonder drugs that they have today. You girls are very lucky.
GABY: I was hoping to avoid drugs.
MARLENE:(laughing) Get over that, luvvie! As soon as that little tagger starts pushing his way out, you'll be yelling for them to give you something to help you!

Marlene looks over and sees Brett and now Danni on the stall. She sees Brett with a picture of Elvis and rushes over to buy it for $8.

MARLENE: The bargain of the century!

Lou comes back over and tells Marlene that the Elvis picture isn't for sale, taking it back off her.

LOU: I'm his biggest fan.
MARLENE: Well, we'll see about that. Been to Graceland?
LOU: In 77. Have you?
MARLENE: Twice. Everybody knows that Heartbreak Hotel was his first big hit. But what was his second?
LOU:(laughs) That's easy. (Sings) You ain't nothing be a hound dog!

Marlene laughs.

LOU: What was his first movie?
MARLENE: Love Me Tender. I've got my own video copy!
LOU: Me, too!
MARLENE: Oh. OK, when was the King born?
LOU: January 8th, 1935, Tulepo, Mississippi. He's a Capricorn. And if you are his biggest fan...when did he die?
MARLENE:(laughs) Oh, I'm not falling for that con job...he ain't dead! Why, the King's alive!
LOU: Yo, a true believer!

They laugh and high- five! Brett and Danni are looking on, amused.

Newsagency
Julie has received a box of tricks that she's bought for Hannah to have some fun with. Phil comes in and says Helen is minding their stall on Ramsay Street. Vikram says he needs to purchase a school uniform and books for his sister, Lata. She's arriving next week.

VIKRAM: I was fortunate enough to have an English education which prepared me for this wonderful country. But Lata never been out of Telachi(?) Which I'm sure you can appreciate is a far cry from Erinsborough.
PHIL: Well, if there's anything we can do to help.
VIKRAM: That's most kind, thank you!

Julie heads off to the garage sale.

Ramsay Street
Hannah is buying make- up off Annalise. She also gives Hannah a leopard print top!

Hannah looks through and finds her snake quilt. She doesn't look happy and takes it off.

Danni is buying clothes off Gaby, while Lou looks suspiciously over at Brett.

LOU: Danni, keep an eye on our stuff for a minute, will you? I think I smell a rat.

Brett is on the phone to Cheryl who is apparently trying to get him to flog the stuff of Lou's that she doesn't like(!) (Hence the mix- up with the Elvis picture)

Brett says he'll try to sell the stuff from Annalise and Mark's stall so Lou won't notice(!)

Just then, Lou comes in and takes the phone off Brett.

LOU: I might have known who was the brains behind this operation. Tough luck, Cheryl, your bad man's been busted.
CHERYL: Lou?
LOU: Don't think you're going to get things all your own way, either. This is my castle too, sweetheart, and if I say Elvis stays, he stays! Bye, schnookums(!)

He puts the phone down and we hear Cheryl still trying to get his attention distantly(!)

LOU:(to Brett, dangerously) It would be a brave man that tried to get that box back.
BRETT: I guess the gig's up.

Newsagency
Phil is scratching his back with a ruler and then rubs it on one of the standings(!)

Ramsay Street
Doug arrives home with Cody. Gaby greets him and he goes to look at Lou's stall.

Danni runs over to show Cody something.

Lou pours Doug a drink.

LOU: So how are you feeling, mate, still a bit sore?
DOUG: Only when I laugh!
LOU: How's the waterworks?
DOUG: Good as gold. Cheers!

At Mark's stall, Mark is selling Vikram school uniform.

On Julie's stall, Julie shows Hannah the tricks, but she says they're childish. A boy called Gough is there too. Hannah invites him to come and hang out later.

Annalise comes over and something up (looks like a purple bra), but Julie says it's not for sale!

Danni is showing Cody what she bought off Gaby. Cody says she should have had first choice and they play- fight!

Dave has come to apologise to Hannah about the quilt, saying Annalise must have grabbed it by mistake.

DAVE: I'd never get rid of it. It means too much to me. Knowing all the work you kids put into it.

He gives her the money back and promises to take care of it better this time.

Annalise and Mark have managed to sell most of their stuff. Dave has sold all his chutney and bought and exercise bike! They laugh - the bike used to belong to Annalise and she sold it for $15 - Dave bought it for $50!

DAVE: I've been ripped off!

Brett is looking for Jeffrey

Lou is still trying to flog a picture, this time to Vikram.

At Julie's stall, Marlene is trying to buy underwear(!) She introduces herself to Julie. They shake hands and Julie has a trick in the palm of her hand which appears to vibrate. Marlene recoils in shock!

Danni is telling Sam that Marlene has been grilling her about the whole family, including Darren and Janine. Sam says Marlene is just a sticky- beak(!)

Brett is asleep in an armchair and...oh dear...a dream sequence starts.

He dreams about Jeffrey the rats sitting on some cheese with a boyfriend.

Fortunately, Lou wakes Brett at that moment to tell him off for selling his stuff again!

Phil is telling Helen about his itchy back. Julie looks shifty.

There's a knock at the door and it's Gough looking for Hannah. Hannah comes out wearing make- up and the leopard- print top Annalise gave her, which is off one shoulder.

JULIE: Hannah, where did you get that top?
HANNAH: I bought it.

Gough says he didn't know they were going to a fancy- dress party(!) and Hannah is not pleased. She starts shouting that she hates all of them and rushes off back to her room.
