- Michael sees Len talking to a woman
- Debbie and Michael want to reveal Len as a rotter
- Annalise is creeping around a house looking for "K T" and gets arrested by the police!
- Cody tells Doug that he can't demolish the house or she'll go to the National Trust
- Mark finds Katarina, who is a wheelchair user
Mark is shocked to see that Katarina is in a wheelchair, but quickly gets over it. He tells her that she's got him in a lot of trouble with his girlfriend. Katarina says Mark will just have to let her down gently(!) But she's only joking, and invites him in to explain his actions. However, Mark is due at the restaurant, so he offers to talk to her there if she can give him a lift.
Cody and Debbie are taking photos of the house for the National Trust. Cody is worried that the house might be knocked down quickly if Doug sells. They agree to meet later this afternoon.
Doug is talking to his solicitor (Ralph Singh) about the house sale. Lou drops round to ask about Gaby and Doug assures her she's fine and running Lassiter's from her hospital bed(!)
Doug explains that Ralph Singh works for the developers who are buying the house - he has to sell as he doesn't have unlimited cash. Lou suggests he buys a lottery ticket!
Rick is very tired after walking up and down the steps to the cellar all day. He tells Cheryl work feels different now that he's left school.
Michael has found out who Len is talking to, a lady called Anna Borobokas. He wants to lure them both to the Coffee Shop so that Helen can see them together. Debbie thinks it's better just to confront Anna.
Lou and Doug comes in and they both buy lottery tickets. They decide to form a "syndicate" with each other(!)
Debbie overhears Doug saying the house is as good as sold. She rushes off to find Cody.
Debbie rushes in and tells Cody that Doug is on his way to sign off the house.
Mark has made Katarina a coffee and a snack, and apparently has all the time in the world to sit down for a chat(!)
Katarina explains that she was following him to try to pique his interest - then he might agree to get involved with the Paralympics. She wasn't sure he would agree, so she decided to do something different to get his attention (hence the radio dedications etc)
Mark agrees to get involved in the fundraising.
Just then, the phone rings and it's the police - to tell him that Annalise has been arrested!
Michael has come to see Anna. He tells her that he thinks Len is a con- man and asks her to help him check Len out.
MICHAEL: I am positive that Gran is getting ripped off. So would you like to have a coffee and talk to me about it?
ANNA: Alright. I don't suppose it can do any harm.
Annalise and Mark have arrived home. Annalise apparently got the wrong house when she was looking for Katarina. Mark explains that he's found Katarina and explains about her fundraising activities. Annalise is dubious but Mark comforts her.
MARK: My poor little Peeping Tom!
ANNALISE: It's not funny, Mark, it was scary.
He comforts her.
Cody is not happy that Doug has signed the agreement for the house. The sale hasn't gone through quite yet though, there are still legalities. She urges Doug to finish the renovations and sell it to someone who will take care of the house. Doug allows that he would get a better price that way, but he can't risk not going with the current offer.
Cheryl tells Mark that Rick is going to be the waiter for the Japanese function. There will be seafood on the menu, but also some standard Australia fare. She is impressed that Rick already knows how to open wine (although the cork gets stuck after Cheryl has left!)
Debbie and Michael are meeting with Anna. They want Anna to help them reveal Len's true intentions. But she still doubts that Len is a villain.
Mark comes in. Annalise asks him come and see a band with her tonight. He says he's got to see Katarina about a fundraising idea he's had - a wheelchair basketball match. Annalise is not happy, although she does think it's a good idea.
Cody and Debbie are wondering what to do about the house. Debbie doesn't think there's anything else they can do. Cody suddenly gets an idea.
Mark comes in. Annalise has apparently gone to see the band with a friend. Rick advises Mark not to upset Annalise by seeing Katarina too often.
Rick is pleased to hear that his teacher, Sally, will be at the Japanese night tonight.
Annalise comes in and tells him that the band was cancelled at short notice anyway. He assures her that he won't let Katarina come between them.
No.28, the following morning
Cheryl and Lou have brought Doug a casserole (because he apparently can't cook for himself while Pam and Gaby are in the hospital) When he's gone, Cody tells Debbie that she's "going through with it".
CODY: I can't just sit back and let him do it. Come on, it's now or never.
Katarina comes in to see Mark. He tells her about the wheelchair basketball idea and she likes it.
Katarina asks after Annalise's arrest and he tells her everything is fine now.
Doug is looking at the house when suddenly a newspaper reporter and camera arrive. They start aggressively asking him if it's true that he's selling the house and how much is he going to make from the sale(!) Doug isn't happy, especially when he sees Debbie and Cody in the background.
REPORTER: Well, Mr Willis, nothing to say?!
DOUG: No comment.
He stalks off.
