Bishops
Bronwyn phones Henry but he's not around - he's out with Charlene and Scott.

Harold isn't pleased to hear that Madge has to go back to the pub because Gloria has phoned in sick.

Harold invites Bronwyn to help him with the new menu for the Coffee Shop, but she's having dinner with Sharon. Harold is not pleased to be left alone. He looks in the paper and sees that there's a movie on - "The Lonliness Of The Long-Distance Runner"!

Mangels
Joe pinches a roast potato from the oven but Jane springs him! Joe says that Kerry wants him to get a new suit for the wedding, but he thinks that the old one is fine!

Paul and Gail's
Gail is upset about the summons. Paul isn't angry with her though, he's just worried that she has to go through all the stress of this. He says that they're a team and he'll support her through anything. He says it's a symptom of her pregnancy to act irrationally. He tells Gail that she has to trust him - she's his wife.

Clarkes
Kerry and Des are washing up. Mike is just heading off out and Kerry comments on how smart he's looking. She asks if he's got a secret girlfriend, but Mike insists that he's just going to the jazz club.

Joe and Jane call round. Joe shows Kerry some photos of him wearing a suit at Mrs Mangel's wedding and says that there's nothing wrong with wearing it again. But Kerry says that she wants Joe to wear something special for the wedding. Finally he agrees. Des suggests that Joe could rent a suit for the wedding.

Kerry sees a picture of Mark Granger in the album and Jane explains that she was engaged to him for a while. But now she's met the man of her dreams in Des.

Paul and Gail's
Paul is looking for a valuation report but can't find it. He asks Gail if she's moved it but she can't remember. Paul gets cross and says that Gail can't remember anything these days.

Bishops, the following morning
Bronwyn is telling Harold that Hilary is worried that Mr Muir won't like her in the future if she's not plastered! They laugh.

Harold has made up a picnic basket for himself and Madge, but she's already arranged to do something with Helen. Bronwyn heads over to Mike's to study. Harold tells Madge that they hardly ever see each other these days and Madge promises to make it up to him.

Clarkes
Des is looking through the photo album. He isn't pleased with the photo of Mark Granger and is worried that Jane is comparing Mark to him. He asks Jamie(!) if Mark is really that good-looking. He looks in the mirror and sees a highly exaggerated picture of his ears and how much they stick out. He puts on a bandana to hold them down!

Mike answers the door to Bronwyn. They're surprised to see that Des is wearing a headband. Des takes offence and says that noone questions Pat Cash for wearing one(!)

Paul and Gail's
Gail is angrily looking for the valuation report. She tells Paul that she never touches anyone elses work, but Paul won't believe anything she says at the moment. Paul says that the court case proves that Gail is unreliable. Gail is upset that Paul is on her side one minute and the other the next.

Mangels
Jane is trying to make up the guest list for her wedding. Apparently the kids have taken Mary to the skateboard ramp - Joe doesn't know what to do about Mary. Jane says at least the cooking is better these days!

Jane asks Joe if he and Kerry have set a date yet - she doesn't want to clash as they've all got the same friends.

Clarkes
Bronwyn is frustrated with her study, but Mike says that she's doing well. Mike says her determination is what makes her so attractive and Kerry takes this in silently from her position in the kitchen.

Des and Jamie come in - he's taken his bandana off because some kids laughed at him(!)

When Mike has gone to walk Bronwyn home, Kerry tells Des that she thinks Mike's mystery girlfriend is Bronwyn. Des says that Bronwyn would never sneak around behind Henry's back. Kerry says that Mike is using his position as her tutor to manipulate her, and she thinks Bronwyn is falling for it.

(Later)

Mike tells Des and Kerry that his relationship with Bronwyn is none of their business. He says that he feels more strongly about Bronwyn now than when he was going out with her. Mike says that Bronwyn can make her own decisions, he's just hoping that she'll choose him. He asks them both to stay out of it.

Paul and Gail's
Paul apologises to Gail and says that he overreacted about the valuation report. She tells him not to hurt her as she's a very easy target at the moment. Paul says he'll tell the customer that HE lost the report. Just then, Gail finds the document in the inside pocket of Paul's coat. Gail tells Paul that he'd better hope that today is one of those things that she'll just happen to forget(!)

Bishops
Madge has to cover for Gloria again and Harold is not at all pleased. He says he feels like they are separated or something!

Clarkes
Des pins back his ears with blutack(!) Just then, Joe calls round to pick up the photo album. Des holds his ears but a piece of blutack falls on to the floor. Joe laughs his head off and says that Des would be better off with a staplegun! Des starts to consider plastic surgery!
