Paul and Gail's
Bronwyn is talking to Poppy about belly-dancing. Poppy suggests that Bronwyn has a go herself - she'll teach her.
Henry comes in and says he's been sacked. He is very cross with Gail. He goes off to bed, dejectedly.
When Henry has gone, Bronwyn asks Poppy how much belly-dancing pays!
Clarkes
Mike and Jenny are playing Scrabble. Mike says he's still willing to marry Jenny, but she says he doesn't love her and she's not sure if she loves him either - marriage would be a mistake. Mike suggests that Jenny meet some other people in her situation - they could give each other support and they might have good advice to offer. Jenny doesn't want to though and gets a bit cross, so Mike returns the conversation to the Scrabble game.
Paul and Gail's
Bronwyn tells Henry that she's got a lead on a job, but doesn't tell him what it is. Henry tells Paul that he's fed up with Gail - it's an honest mistake and he did do the best he could. Paul admits that Gail did go overboard. Henry appeals to Paul as the boss of Lassiter's to reinstate him, but Paul doesn't want to row with Gail given the personal situation between them. Henry is not impressed.
The Office
Gail and Jane are surveying the awful wallpaper when Beverly comes in. She is takenaback by the wallpaper.
Bishops
Scott is reading at the table when Mike comes in. Scott is a bit frosty with Mike at first, but Mike asks him for advice about Jenny. He tells Scott about the rehabilitation place, but he can't find a way to ask Jenny about it without her thinking that he's trying to get rid of her. Scott can't see the problem - he tells Mike that he has to bite the bullet.
Clarkes
Beverly comes to see Mike and Jenny, but Mike is out. Beverly obliviously gives Jenny a brochure about the rehabilitation centre "that she and Mike were talking about". Beverly tells her that they've got a live-in time of six months. Jenny says it sounds great and Beverly says that she's being very brave. When Beverly has gone, Jenny crumples up the brochure.
The Pub
Henry and Scott are having a beer when Joe joins them. Henry tells Joe that he got the sack for putting up the wrong wallpaper. Joe looks guilty and says he didn't mean to go that far. Henry looks at him sharply and Joe admits it was a joke. Henry rants at Joe for costing him his job and says he ought to knock his block off. He tells him to choke on his beer and storms off.
Garden of the Clarkes
Jenny is sitting in the garden crying. Mike comes back and she starts ranting at him about what Beverly said about the rehab centre. Mike says he wants what's best for Jenny in the long-run. He's not forcing her into anything, he's just looking at all the options. Mike suggests that she comes and looks at the rehab centre at least, if she doesn't like it she doesn't have to go. Jenny cries that she doesn't want to be with strangers - she wants to be with him. Mike tells her that she has a lot of courage inside her and she should give ita chance.
Paul and Gail
Poppy is teaching Bronwyn to belly-dance when Henry comes in. Bronwyn says it's for a job, but Henry starts shouting and says Bronwyn is not doing it - he'd rather her be on the dole than have such a job.
The Office
Joe comes to see Gail about the wallpaper. He tries to confess to his crime, but can't quite get there. He starts singing Henry's praises but Gail doesn't want to hear it. He leaves without confessing.
When Joe has gone, Paul says that soon they'll be calling Gail "Maggie Thatcher - The Iron Lady".
Rehab Centre
Jenny sees a disabled person getting themselves into a car while she has to have help from Mike and Beverly. She looks interested in this.
Paul and Gail's
Bronwyn and Poppy are still belly-dancing. Scott and Henry come in. Scott tells Henry he's being silly - people wear a lot less to the beach. Henry protests but Scott says he's on a losing argument. Henry apologises to Bronwyn - he'd just had a bad day and took it out on her. Bronwyn forgives him with a kiss.
Scott tells Poppy about his migrant families article and she agrees to help him out.
Joe comes in and Henry tells him to get lost. But Joe says that he's got a proposition for him - a partnership with him. Henry calms down and looks interested as long as it's not a joke.
JOE: Cross my heart, hope to kark it!
They high-five each other.
Rehab Centre
Jenny sees disabled people in a gym playing basketball. Jenny looks on in awe that they are managing it. Jenny starts talking to the coach and he introduces her to one of the members of the basketball team, Deb. Deb asks her to shoot a few basket herself but Jenny isn't keen. However, the coach says that Deb used to be like that herself. Jenny shoots and misses twice but scored the third time. Jenny is delighted. She tells Mike that she feels alive for the first time in ages.
