Paul and Gail's house
Bronwyn has been buying school books but Henry is disinterested - he says the best place to study is at the University of Life. He says they moved in together so they could see each other, but now she won't have much time. Bronwyn says she'll fit everything in, including him.
Poppy (from the Greek wedding) comes round to thank them for helping out with the wedding reception and gives them some Greek chocolates. She tells them she's on the way to a Greek party and invites them along. Henry is keen, but Bronwyn wants to do her reading for night school. She tells Henry to go without her so he goes to change.

Des's
Des tells Mike that he must be clear in his head what he's committing to in saying he's going to look after Jenny. Mike says he's thought it through and it's fine. He asks Des if he can take some money from his trust account and Des write him out a cheque. Jenny comes in and apologises for ranting at them. Des says there's no need to apologise and goes off to see Hilary. Jenny tells Mike that things just boil over now and again - he shouldn't take it personally.

No.30
Sharon is on the phone to Nick but Hilary takes the phone off her and slams it back on its hook. They quarrel about Nick and Sharon tells Hilary that she's in love with him - they've been going out for months. Hilary tells her she'd better do as she's told or she'll put a lock on the phone!
Des comes to the door to talk to Hilary. He has come to plead for her to come back to the Coffee Shop - Harold is in shock after Sky's scare and Madge won't be back for a while. He says that people have forgotten about the photo now. Hilary says maybe she should learn to laugh at hersel a bit - she'll think about it and give him her answer tomorrow.

Mangels
Joe says it wasn't easy taking Toby home - he misses him when he's not around. He also tells Jane that something is happening on the Kerry front - Kerry seems different after Sky's scare and the incident with Glenn. He says they both need to take things slower this time and see what occurs. Joe says he's off to see Des to see if he needs any favours done(!) Jane tries to dissuade him but he's not having any of it!

Des's
Joe comes in to see Des. He starts making him breakfast and offers Des a lift to work. He accidentally spills coffee on Des who gets very irritable and says he'll walk to work and buy a new shirt on the way(!) He storms out.

Later at Des's
Jenny's physiotherapist has cancelled for today. Mike is a bit edgy and says that he's inconvenienced Des for nothing. He says he's got a good idea to do something nice for Des - he'll tell her later.

The Coffee Shop
Des is taking orders in his lunchhour from the bank and Henry and Jane are chatting at the counter. Des tells them that he hopes Hilary will come back soon because they're extremely short-staffed. Jane says she's told Joe to take it easy but he's very grateful to Des so it's hard to stop him.
A policeman comes in and warns Des that there've been some robberies in the area with a masked robber and tells Des to take care.
When Des goes into the kitchen, Henry tells Jane that he's got an idea to get Joe of Des's back - he'll engineer a situation in which Joe can save Des's life.

Des's
Sharon is being a bit insensitive to Jenny by talking about wheelchairs. Bronwyn tells Sharon to stop warring with Hilary, but she'll try and have a word with her. Sharon asks Bronwyn if they can study together once she starts at night school(!)
Hilary comes round and says she's decided to come back to the Coffee Shop and has come to give Des the good news. She's shocked to find Sharon there and wants to know why she isn't at school.

Mangels
Jane is doing paperwork and tells Joe that Paul will be away a while longer - he's having trouble convincing Gail to come home. Joe shows Jane a plate of meat that he's got for Des. Jane says she saw Des earlier and he wants to meet Joe at the Coffee Shop at 6pm. She tells him to be careful because there've been robberies in the area but she looks rather enigmatic(!)

No.30
Hilary drags Sharon into No.30 and they shout at each other. Hilary says when she gets to school she has to report to the Headmaster so Hilary can check up on her. Sharon calls Hilary a stupid old creep and then says she was talking about the Headmaster(!) Hilary says that Mrs Chubb was too soft on her but she's met her match in Hilary. Sharon says living with Hilary is hell and storms out.

Front garden of Des's
Jenny opens her eyes to find that Mike has bought a car. He's spent most of his trust account on it. She is a bit doubtful at the expense, but hugs Mike to say thank you.

Coffee Shop
Henry creeps up on Des and scares him. He's wearing a balaclava and tells Des he's going to act as a robber. Then when Joe comes in, Henry will run off and Joe will think he's saved Des. Henry to pretend to be a robber with a French stick under his jumper as a gun and shouting at Des to give him the money. Unfortunately, it is the police, not Joe who come in first and Henry is arrested and handcuffed!
