At Sally and Tony's:
Sally is running through a list of problems with the flat with the landlord. She flatters him on what an understanding landlord he is and what a lovely flat it is. He agrees to do the improvements straight away, then mentions the rent increase that is coming up soon. He hopes that won't be a problem, since they love the flat so much... He leaves and Tony goes ballistic at Sally. He can't afford to stay there if the rent is raised. Sally has a plan to save the day.
At the Robinson's:
Madge and Helen are preparing for Jim and Beverly's wedding and Madge jokes that she was considering re-using Eileen's cake... Helen is busy too, cleaning for Hilary arriving. Jim and Lucy come in and ask Beverly to go to the park with them. She agrees and runs off leaving Helen and Madge slaving away.
Outside the coffee shop:
Jane chats to Pete Baxter who is setting up another stupid practical joke for Mike. Tony runs up and invites them all to a housewarming party - in an hour.
At the Ramsays:
Scott is staring at Eileen's wedding cake - it wants to be eaten. Charlene forbids him, he's just had lunch. Henry comes in and talks business with Scott. Grumpy Charlene asks when she's meant to see her husband - he's going to be working days, nights and weekends. Henry points out there are always wet days but she's not happy. She answers the phone to Sally who invites them all to her party - but tells them to bring a paint brush.
At Sally and Tony's:
Sally explains to everyone that the landlord had agreed to keep the rent down if she and Tony did their own decorating. They're having a paint party - with aerobics classes as prizes (!) She and Sally pick teams to compete with the painting. Their flat is going to look such a mess...
At the park:
Bev says she's sorry Julie won't be at the wedding the next day. She thinks Lucy will enjoy meeting Todd and Katie, her nephew and niece though.
At the Robinsons:
Helen asks Madge if she'll come and look at a flat with her this afternoon - she doesn't want the family to know yet. Madge is worried she'll be lonely but Helen is looking forward to it.
At Sally and Tony's:
Painting is underway, except for Henry who's lying on a mattress. Drinks have run out and Scott runs off to get some more, narrowly missing Helen and Madge outside. Looks like the flat Helen's interested in is in the same block.
In Helen's flat to be:
Helen reveals the landlord had trouble renting the flat because a girl and her baby disappeared from the flat.
At the park:
Lucy and Beverly play on the swings but are interrupted when Beverly's pager goes off. She has to go to work.
In Helen's flat to be:
Helen likes the flat but Madge is unsure about it's history. She thinks there will be a ghost because of it's tragic past. Helen points out that the girl probably couldn't afford the rent and did a midnight flit. She's going to take it.
Outside:
They bump into Scott and ask who lives at the noisy flat. He takes them inside and tells them it's Tony's flat. Tony seems unsure and Scott tells him he could do a lot worse for a neighbour than Gran. He says it's not that - how much does Helen know about the place? There are weird noises in there and they think the place is haunted. Helen is thrilled. She'd love to see a ghost.
In the Robinson garden:
Jim is moaning about Beverly having to go off to work. Madge says at least it was today and not tomorrow. Helen tells them the news about her flat, she's really moving out and wants them both to be happy for her. Madge tells them about the ghost but Helen assures them she's safe with Tony next door.
At Sally and Tony's:
The workers have finished and have come out for food. Henry, who's done no work, goes off to play on Sally's gym equipment and drops the weights over his head, falling to the floor and knocking his head in the process. Charlene tells him to stop being an idiot and get up but he remains lying there. Sally goes over and tells them something's wrong, he's not breathing.
