At Paul and Gail's
Rob asks Gail what she is talking about. She tells him she's found the letter from her mother. He'd forgotten about it and wishes he'd burnt it. She tries to walk out but Paul pulls her back saying she has to at least listen to her father. She can't, she feels like her whole world has been turned upside down and walks out. Rob is upset and says he thought she'd love him less if she found out and now he fears he was right. Helen asks him to go home with her, and tells him about Rosemary.
At the Clarkes
Mike is taking pics of Eileen and Malcolm. Eileen is writing their vows but Malcolm isn't so sure about that. He sits and listens as Eileen reads out the ones he should say. He tries to hide his laughter as she reads out some soppy lines and tells her he might be a bit embarrassed to read such flower lines. He thinks they should stick to the traditional lines. Upset, Eileen tells Mike and Des to go and get ready for work.
At the Robinsons
Rob says it was nice to have breakfast with a family again. Helen tells him Gail just needs time to come round. She agonised for a long time before telling Rosemary. Rob says he'd stopped thinking of Gail as adopted - she became his kid.
Outside the Mangels
Jane agrees to help Nel choose a Matron of Honour outfit. Nel says she isn't going to choose anything expensive because this is the second biggest mistake of Eileen's life -the first being marrying him the first time! She decides to read Eileen's tea leaves. Jane tries to stop her, telling her she'll be hurt if she interferes.
At the Robinsons
Rob thanks Helen for the chat and starts to leave, knocking over Eileen in the process who is now very chirpy. Helen asks how the plans are going. Apparently they're going well. Unfortunately Helen can no longer be Matron of Honour. She is delighted! Eileen asks her to look at her beautiful vows and tells her that she can't understand why Malcolm doesn't like them. Helen diplomatically tells her they're lovely, but very long. Maybe it would be better to go with the traditional vows? Eileen refuses to be swayed.
Outside Paul and Gail's
Paul asks Gail if she needs time off work to think but she refuses. Paul and her job are the only stability she has at the moment and she needs them. Paul reminds her that she has her dad too but Gail replies that she doesn't feel she can trust him anymore.
At the coffee shop
Mike introduces Malcolm to Rob Lewis who is shocked he is marrying Eileen again. He warns him that Eileen can never change and warns him a man's better free of relationships.
At Mrs Mangel's
Jane and Nel are giving Eileen a pampering session before her big day and Jane uses the opportunity to try and talk Eileen out of using her own vows. It doesn't work. Mike comes to the door and tells Jane Malcolm is relieved to be using the traditional vows. Oh-oh - trouble ahead!
At Paul and Gail's
Helen is visiting and talking to Gail about her father. She tells her he's suffering just as much as her. She explains that Rob thought she had enough to deal with when her mother died but Gail thinks she could have dealt with it better then. Helen leaves and Gail asks Paul if he thinks she's being unreasonable? He tells her she's stood by him in the past because she loved him, and he thinks she still does.
At the Clarkes
Malcolm is moaning about his bow tie. And his suit. And the honeymoon. Revd Sampson arrives for a chat about the wedding vows and the sermon Eileen has written for him. He thinks the vows are too ornate and he wants to simplify them. He shows them to Malcolm who is furious that Eileen has gone behind his back. He tells the Revd this is the straw that broke the camel's back and storms out.
At the Mangels
Nel reminisces about her own wedding before Eileen stumbles into the room with mascara in her eye. Jane takes her off to the bedroom as Malcolm bangs on the door. Nel brings him in and says he cannot see the bride before the wedding, there's enough bad luck around it as there is. He asks her if she thinks they're crazy to be going through with the wedding and she confirms that she does. He answers that he thinks she's right and walks out.
At Paul and Gail's
Rob has come round to see Gail, she has a few things to say to him - she's sorry for being so emotional. He asks if that means everything's alright between them? She nods and hugs him tearfully, then tells him he'll always be her dad and she loves him.
At the Clarkes
Malcolm comes out of his bedroom and apologises to Des but he's shooting through. Des is shocked and tells him he can't - it'll devastate Eileen. Malcolm insists that he can't go through with marrying Eileen, she'll never change. Even worse, he isn't going to tell her - that's up to Des.
At Mrs Mangel's
Eileen comes out of her room all dressed up and looking lovely. She smiles at Nel and tells her this is going to be the most wonderful day of her life.
