At the Ramsays
Harold shows Madge his share certificate. He is excited about being a wealthy man. He wants a wedding people will talk about forever. He seems disappointed that Madge doesn't want a big wedding. Scott and Charlene come in and he says how nice it is to see them back together. They quickly set him straight. Madge tactfully suggests that she and Harold go out for dinner so Scott and Charlene can talk.
At the office
Melanie fusses over Jim and tells him she's been so worried about him since Greg tried to hit him. He is much more frightened of her than of Greg and runs into Paul's office! Paul asks if he managed to catch up with Greg but he'd left by the time Jim got there. Jim is annoyed that someone made Greg think he'd been gossiping about him and warns Paul that they'd better have a very good explanation when he finds out who it was.
At the Mangels
Mrs Mangel is fussing over Bouncer again. She decides he needs exercise to burn off all the treats she's just fed him and takes him outside to play fetch.
At the Ramsays
Scott tells Charlene he loves her and that he knows she still loves him too. He says it's stupid for her to pretend she doesn't care and she is upset that he thinks her stupid. He explains he didn't mean it like that. She tells him of course she still loves him, that's why she was so upset. And she's sorry she believed the stories about Chrissy but he hurt her so much with Jane. He says if she loves him she has to forgive him and she answers that forgiving him's the easy part, but she's scared of ending up like her mum and dad - her dad always coming back after having a fling and her mum always taking him back. Scott protests that they're nothing like her mum and dad but she asks him how he knows? They don't know what they'll be like in twenty years time. She explains that they can't get back together until she's not scared anymore. Quickly changing the subject she realises he's late for his next exam. She chases him out of the house.
Outside
Scott runs over to Paul who's getting out of his car and asks for a lift. Paul reverses down the drive and straight over Bouncer, who's still playing fetch with Mrs Mangel.
At the coffee shop
Mike is chatting to Melanie while Lucy and Chrissy watch them, making catty comments about Melanie (jealous Lucy?). Chrissy tells Lucy she should go after Mike herself.
In Ramsay Street
Mrs Mangel blames Paul for the accident but Scott insists it's his fault. Charlene comes over and yells at Scott for not being at school yet. She pushes him down the street and she and Paul take Bouncer off to the vet (Bouncer doing some of the best acting in this scene!)
In the coffee shop
Chrissy thinks they should tell Mike about Greg. She points out that if Greg does murder her and Lucy Mike will know who did it. Lucy storms out but Chrissy stays behind and asks Mike what she should do about Greg. He tells her it's garbage and Lucy should have known better than to make up stories like that.
At Mrs Mangels
Paul and Charlene bring Bouncer home. He's going to be fine. She brings him inside and fusses over him. Paul mentions that the vets bill wasn't too costly so he thought they could go halves. She tells him certainly not! It was his and Scott's fault. Charlene tells her off for picking on Scott and asks how she'd feel if she had to sit through an exam not knowing if Bouncer was alive? Mike rushes in asking about Bouncer. Charlene says she knows he doesn't want to part with him, but could she borrow him for a little while?
At the Robinsons
Chrissy is bring hysterical about Greg and locks the door. Lucy tells her to dry up! Jim comes home and asks what's going on. Chrissy dramatically tells him how Greg's going to get her because she knows he's a murderer. Jim is not best pleased.
At school
Scott is unable to concentrate. He stares out of the window and sees Charlene, she's brought Bouncer to show him he's okay. Miraculously Scott isn't thrown out for cheating and she's able to stand right at the open window without comment from teacher.
At the Robinsons
Jim tears a strip off Lucy and Chrissy. He sends them to their room to have a good long think about what they've done (that'll help). As Chrissy is going out she supposes that he'll want her to leave now. He answers that that's not a bad idea.
At the Ramsays
Charlene is telling Madge and Harold about her eventful day. The door goes, it's Scott come to thank Charlene. Madge invites him to stay for tea and he gladly accepts. He goes to ring his Gran and smiles shyly at Charlene. Aw, cute.
At the Robinsons
Chrissy is saying her goodbyes to Jim and admits it was not really Lucy's fault. Lucy is sad that she's leaving. Chrissy says she can always come and stay with her in the holidays. She can even ride her horse.
At the Ramsays
Harold is blathering on about shares. Scott yawns and Charlene pretends to be interested. Madge sends Harold home and goes off to have an early night. Scott and Charlene laugh at how obvious they both are. Charlene says everyone wants them to talk. Scott tells her to forget what everyone else wants and asks if that's what she wants? She says he knows it is. Ice thaws a bit more...
At the Mangels
Mrs Mangel tells Mike she has taken Bouncer back to the Clarkes. She thinks the responsibility of looking after a dog is too much for her (ie she's frightened she's getting too close to him and worried she can't handle losing someone else).
At the Ramsays
Charlene and Scott are getting cosy on the couch. They talk about how much they've missed each other and Scott (obviously missing more than just holding her hand on the settee) asks if he can stay the night. She says no. He gets annoyed and asks why not if she loves him. She reminds him that he's not moving back until all their problems are sorted out. She needs more time. He gets more angry and shouts at her, bringing Madge in. He tells Madge that Charlene is so messed up about the way her and Fred's marriage was that it means she can't sort her own out. He walks out, leaving Madge to wonder what on earth Charlene has been telling him.
