Recap
Harold wants Madge to marry him by the end of the month.
At the workshop
Des rings Greg and invites him to dinner again. How about tonight? Greg says he can't make it as they're too busy at work. He hangs up and Charlene says they only have three jobs all day. He says he just isn't feeling sociable. Charlene warns him people will think he's a fruitcake if he stays locked away in the caravan park.
At the bank
Sally suggests to Des that they hire a Private Investigator. He is sure there must be an easier way. Wait a minute! What about the electoral roll? He'll see what he can find out. Sally asks if it's okay if Henry helps? Des agrees, but insists it be kept quiet.
At the coffee shop
Henry turns up with flowers but Eileen tells him she isn't there. He says the flowers are for her, not for Sally. She is thrilled and says it's so romantic when young love is burgeoning. Paul asks if he is with Sally, how come he saw him with BB last night? Henry says he was with her to finish things, to let her down gently. Paul laughs that whenever his life is starting to feel complicated all he has to do is look at Henry and he feels better. Eileen believes Henry, luckily for him. Sally arrives and Eileen leaves the two of them alone. Sally tells Henry she needs another favour. He says fine, if they have tea together that night they can talk about it then.
At the bank
Harold is withdrawing lots of money to invest in the stock market. Des is concerned that the deal be safe. Harold shares his tip with him after Madge forces him to - "Des isn't a mushroom Harold, don't keep him in the dark." They reveal to Des that they are going to use the money to get married in the very near future.
At the Ramsays
Harold is giddy from the thought of being rich and dreaming of the future. Madge says being filthy rich could really grow on her.
At the workshop
Paul visits Greg, who is thinking of re-organising the workshop. He wants a junior to detail the cars because Charlene has too much talent as a mechanic. Paul is pleased that it sounds like he wants to stay on. Des arrives to press Greg again about coming for dinner. Paul invites himself along too. Des tells Charlene she should be getting home herself, her mum has a million things to organise for the wedding. Charlene isn't impressed that no-one's told her.
At the Ramsays
Henry congratulates Harold and Madge on the upcoming wedding, adding to Harold - "You're my new dad!". Madge worries that Charlene will take things badly - as she storms in and yells that she knows about the wedding because Des told her at the workshop. Doing her best Kath and Kim impression she declares that she only has one thing to say - "I think it's the best news I've ever heard. And I love you both so much that I could bust."
At the Clarkes
Henry arrives to take Sally out for her date. Eileen warns her to take a coat - moonlight strolls can be nippy. Henry promises that he will keep her warm (!) and they leave. Eileen goes inside and begins interrogating Greg. Des stops her and says if it's gossip she's after he's got a doozy (a what?), something even she hasn't heard.
In Scott and Charlenes room
Madge despairs at the state of the room. Charlene says she's just been reading about it - "They say the state of your room reflects the state of your mind. Doesn't say much for my state of mind." Madge tells her she's being brave about everything and she does appreciate it. Charlene replies that she doesn't expect everyone to be miserable just because she is. Madge says Scott won't be silly enough to let her slip through his fingers but Charlene says she wouldn't be saying that if she'd seen him that morning - he's changed so much. She reminisces about how perfect she thought he was and that she'd thought they'd be together forever. Madge refuses to listen to her self pity and tells her to tidy her room and come and eat burnt macaroni. Charlene worries that people think she's just being a dumb teenager. Madge laughs and says she hasn't thought that since the minute she walked down the aisle.
At the Clarkes
Des asks Greg how his brother died. Greg reveals that he lost his balance getting out of the ring and hit his head. He's obviously deeply upset so they change the subject. Before long Greg says he has to go though.
Later
Des tells Paul he shouldn't have gone on about Colin's death. He knew that Colin was Greg's hero - he worshipped him. He says Greg was the brother who was into boxing, but he was only average. Then Colin stepped into the ring and was brilliant. Des worries that he should have known not to bring things up. Eileen tries to comfort him, telling him "Nonsense Desmond, you come from a very tactful family." (!!!)
At the Ramsays
Madge is busy doing housework while Harold gets under her feet. Harold says that will change when they're married, she won't have to work. She insists they're not having that conversation again, she likes her job. She sees Harold wriggling and says "Look at you, you're a seething mess!" He tells her he isn't, he has more pressing needs - he needs her to remove his shirt (!). He has an itch between his shoulder blades that needs scratching.
At the coffee shop
Henry and Sally have snuck in for coffee. Henry asks what the favour is she wanted. She says its about her father. He says she's making progress - she's found her half brother, and a boyfriend too. She smiles and says that's for Mrs Clarke's benefit. He isn't to say anything to her. He promises that his lips are sealed, then kisses her.
At the Clarkes
Paul thanks Des for dinner and says they should make the most of having the women away. Eileen reminds them that "Idle time makes play for the devil". Des winds her up by saying they could maybe go out on the town, take in a strip club and a few pubs... She is horrified until he tells her he is teasing. Sally comes home and Des goes off to bed. Sally starts washing up, she told Eileen she'd pull her weight. To do the washing up she has to take off her cufflinks. Eileen admires them, until she sees they are inscribed with her wedding date - she had it put there so her husband would not forget! She wants to know what Sally is doing with her husband's cufflinks, and she wants to know instantly!
