Recap
A woman tips wine over Beverly's head and warns Jim that she's a marriage breaker.
At the Clarkes:
Jamie is sleeping and Des and Daphne are a lot happier. They talk about Eileen and Des asks Daphne if she'll invite her back to their house again (for a visit). Des suggests an early night and when Daphne agrees he's so keen he picks her up and carries her to the bedroom. Unfortunately their laughing wakes Jamie. There goes the early night!
At the Robinsons:
Helen is brewing up and overhears Jim and Beverly rowing in the living room. She makes her excuses and goes to bed. Beverly agrees to stay for one cup of coffee:
At the Ramsays:
For reasons best known to themselves Charlene and Scott are crawling along the floor behind the kitchen with the hoover. Charlene informs the audience that it's because Scott took a flying leap onto the air bed and the stopper fell out, but that doesn't explain why they have to crawl about with the hoover rather than just carrying it in... It does give them a chance to have a sit on the floor together though and dream about how fantastic life would be if they only had their own house. But, in the meantime it's back to their little room. Charlene asks Scott if he wants toast but he refuses because Madge thinks he eats too much. He's worried that they aren't paying their way.
At the Robinsons:
Beverly tells Jim she appreciates him not asking questions about who the woman in the pub was and thinks he deserves an explanation. She tells him there was a married man in her life - Stephen Armstrong. Jim asks how she feels about him now he's no longer married but she evades the question and starts to leave. She tells him they need to stay away from each other for a while whilst she sorts this thing through.
Next morning:
Jim is filling Helen in on the night before. She thinks he needs to wait a while to see how things turn out. Lucy comes in for breakfast half asleep and Jim sends her out for the newspaper. Helen worries that she's still upset about being dropped from the netball team.
Outside:
Charlene runs over to talk to Lucy, laughing that she'd got up early to have breakfast with Scott for once but they'd run out of milk. Lucy barely listens to her. Charlene asks if she's okay and she replies that she's still half asleep, then bends down to pick up the paper. She goes for it twice and misses, then when Charlene asks if she's okay again she smiles and says she can't seem to wake up.
At the Ramsays:
Scott is juggling with the breakfast eggs. Charlene comes in behind him and he narrowly misses dropping them on the floor. She hurries him up because Madge will be up any minute, then asks what's wrong with Lucy and tells him about the newspaper. He tells her Lucy goes round in a dream half the time, then reminds her they're going round there for dinner tonight. She warns him not to start going on about his Gran's home cooking unless he wants to wear the scrambled eggs she's whisking.
At the Clarkes:
Beverly has called round to check up on Jamie. Daphne thanks her for all her help and invites her for dinner that night. Beverly tells her she and Jim are no longer seeing each other, but accepts the dinner invite. Eileen comes in and is panicked at seeing Bev there. They calm her down and to Daphne's delight she tells them she's there to spend the whole day with them!
At the Robinsons:
Lucy still isn't ready for school. She tells them she has a headache and doesn't feel like school today. Jim says unless she's ill enough to see a doctor she's well enough to go to school. She reluctantly goes off to get ready but he stops her and says she can stay off that morning and go in at lunch time. She agrees and goes out. Helen comments that she really doesn't seem herself. Jim thinks it might just be because of the netball team.
At the Clarkes:
Eileen is cleaning up and going on about Des as a baby. Daphne shouts at her and tells her to stop cleaning and relax. She tries to apologise for the other day and assures her she wants her to keep seeing Jamie - but she wants to bring up Jamie her way using her methods. Eileen promises not to interfere - "All I will do is be here if you need me." Jamie cries and Eileen flies out of the room into the nursery!
At the Robinsons:
Lucy is lying on the settee watching tv. She asks Helen to adjust the tv because it's not tuned in properly - but when Helen looks the picture is fine. She tells Lucy she needs to pop to the shops to get dinner. Lucy swears she will be fine on her own and won't move off the couch. The minute Helen's out of the door she goes into the kitchen to get a drink - but starts seeing double.
At the Clarkes:
Eileen overhears Des saying that Beverly is coming for dinner and invites herself along too. She goes out to get apples for desert and Daphne grabs Des by his tie and tells him Eileen has been driving her mad for 9 hours. This is going beyond the call of duty.
At the Robinsons:
Jim and Helen return home with the groceries to find Lucy sleeping on the couch. They go through to the kitchen to start cooking and the camera zooms in on Lucy as doom and gloom music plays.
At the Clarkes:
Eileen is boasting about Des to Beverly and exclaiming how pleasant the evening is. She tells Des she should have invited Jim along too - he and Beverly make a lovely couple. Des tries to change the subject but Eileen wants to hear wedding bells. Daphne sends her off to check her apple crumble and Des apologises to Beverly.
At the Robinsons:
Helen comments that it's like old times - with Scott dipping his fingers into the salad bowl. Charlene tries to chop them off with her chopping knife but he's too quick for her. She asks Jim if he kept Lucy home from school today because she was acting really weirdly that morning - trying to pick up the paper but missing it. Jim sends Scott in to the living room to wake her up but, despite shouting "food" into her ear Lucy doesn't wake up (although she does very clearly smile at this!). Jim comes through to take a look at her, and tells Scott to call an ambulance - Lucy isn't asleep, she's unconscious.
