Charlene flies into a panic as Madge, Jane and Edna try to identify the cause of the rash. Scott arrives and tells them to keep away from Hilary. Madge says she didn't think anyone needed to be told to do that! Scott explains that before Hilary arrived she spent time with Julie and the kids who now have measles. The girls fall silent and Charlene shows Scott her spots. Madge says they have to go and see Clive and if he says it's the measles they will have to call off the wedding. Scott kisses Charlene and says if she has measles then so does he - they are not calling off the wedding.
Jim and Helen think they should quarantine Hilary. Scott arrives and tells Helen and Jim that Charlene is covered in spots, however he assures them the wedding is 100% still happening. Hilary arrives and Helen tells her Charlene may have the measles. Hilary announces she has decided to stay at the Robinsons instead of staying with Paul and Gail. Helen and Jim are horrified and tell Hilary she has to go as Paul and Gail have been looking forward to having her.
Gail calls after Rob who seems in a hurry. She wants to buy him a coffee but he is preoccupied. She wants to know if he's ok as the hotel staff have told her Rob has been missing breakfast. Rob is upset that she's been checking up on him but she says she's allowed to worry about him, as he's the only father she has. Rob apologises and tells her he's just busy at work. Gail asks if he will come round for dinner and keep Hilary company whilst she cooks. Rob reluctantly agrees.
Dan tells Edna that he offered Charlene his life insurance policy. Madge and Charlene arrive home - the rash has been caused by stress. Madge tells Dan it's his fault and tells him that ever since he's arrived he has been nothing but trouble. She says she doesn't want him at the wedding, she thought he loved Charlene but lately he hasn't shown it. Edna tells Dan to leave Madge alone and do something to put this right.
Outside The Coffee Shop
Mike serves Jane some coffee and they talk about Mrs Mangel and Daphne. Jane says she had to stick up for Mrs Mangel because she is her family, Mike says the same about Daphne. Jane says they must have been rotten kids for their parents to leave them the way they did. They talk about the wedding. Neither of them can believe that Scott and Charlene are about to become husband and wife. Jane is worried there won't be enough people there to make it a great day - Mike has an idea.
Edna has finished the cake but Madge is oblivious She has received a cheque from Fred for $100 - it's for Charlene's wedding expenses. Madge tells Edna she won't stop Dan from going to the wedding and will tell him soon. Helen arrives and notices the finished wedding cake. They all admire the masterpiece and Edna gets the finishing touch ready. She gives Helen the groom statue and Madge the bride statue; they place the statues on top of the cake in an absolutely poignant scene.
Paul and Gails
Hilary arrives and starts bossing Paul around. Gail comes downstairs and Paul introduces her to Hilary. Hilary stops in her tracks and says Gail is not at all what she expected. Gail is a cross between humoured and horrified and Paul just shoots her a reassuring look. She gives them a wedding present - it is a weird ornament that Hilary made herself. Paul and Gail say they love the gift and Hilary says she's glad she got this wedding present right. She pauses and asks if she did, what with the impromptu wedding....is Gail pregnant? Gail assures Hilary she isn't and Hilary says she shouldn't wait to long. Rob arrives and Gail introduces him to Hilary.
Hilary (to Rob): What a nice little man.
Dan promises he will be good at the wedding and Edna leaves he and Charlene alone. Dan tells her he is sorry for what he said and Charlene accepts his apology. He tells he's proud of her; there's more Ramsay in her then the rest of them. The sneak into the kitchen and start eating the buffet. Scott comes in and Dan offers him a sausage roll.
Paul and Gails
Gail sees Rob out and he gives her an envelope. He tells her to look after it in case he forgets to give it to Scott and Charlene tomorrow. With Rob gone, Paul is worried about how they can sneak past Hilary to get to their separate bedrooms. Gail tells Paul to stop making out Hilary is a dragon - she likes her. They make their way upstairs and head towards their bedrooms when Hilary emerges from the bathroom. Paul moves over to Gail's bedroom and stands beside her until Hilary goes to her room. Paul and Gail wish each other goodnight and go into their separate rooms.
Scott gives Charlene a present - the better housekeeping guide! He then gives her the real present. She opens it and it is a glass miniature of Cinderella's slipper. Charlene notices it is almost midnight and tells Scott to leave; it's bad luck if they see each other before the wedding.
Scott: If you're not doing anything tomorrow how about I meet you at the church and we get married.
Charlene: I'll think about it.
Paul and Gails
Hilary brings Paul and Gail breakfast. As she reaches their bedroom Paul comes out of the other door. He tells her they spilt coffee on the sheets so had to sleep in the other room. At that moment Gail emerges from the opposite room. Hilary says she doesn't know what is going on but she doesn't like being lied to.
