The Coffee Shop
Jane has spoken to Clive and tells Des he advised her not to give Mrs Mangel any shocks. Helen, Paul and Gail arrive but Helen has no appetite - she is worried about Jim. She says she can't sit and wait for something bad to happen. The three of them leave The Coffee Shop and head for the racetrack.

Charlene is cleaning cars and writing 'Charlene Robinson' through the foam! Helen, Paul and Gail arrive and ask if Jim is there. She tells them Jim left about 10 minutes ago and was in a terrible mood.
Race Track
Jim is in the car and the conditions are bad. The track is wet and Rob tells Jim the maximum speed her can go. Jim hits the racetrack just as Helen, Paul and Gail arrive.
Jim is speeding and Rob is worried. He tells Jim to slow down, as Gail turns away from the track unable to watch. Jim hears Lucy's words in his head and puts the breaks on. He comes to a standstill and is met by the others. Jim admits he pushed the speed too much and Helen tells him she's just glad he's ok.
Shopping Mall
Henry meets Charlene as she has just opened a new bank account. They pass a bridal shop and Charlene sees the dress of her dreams in the window. It's $750 and she falls in love with it. Henry is surprised that she even wants to wear a dress on her wedding day, but Charlene says she wants to look really special on her wedding day. Henry thinks Charlene should try the dress on but the shop is shut. The shopkeeper tells them to come back at the end of the day.
Robinsons
Jim tells Helen that whilst he was driving he realised what a fool he's been lately. Helen asks if he still plans to race the car and Jim tells her that Rob has his heart set on it. Helen holds back the tears and tells Jim not to worry about lunch, she's not hungry.
Garage
Rob is filling up Paul's car. Gail is still sure No 13 has a jinx and doesn't want anything more to do with it. Jim arrives and tells Rob he has decided to sell the car. Gail is overjoyed and hugs Jim.
Office
Charlene wants Jane to leave work early to see the wedding dress. Jane is a bit distant and tells Charlene she wouldn't get married at their age. However she agrees to be Charlene's bridesmaid. Jane tells Charlene she looks happy.
Paul and Gail arrive and Charlene suggests they have a double wedding. Gail tells her that she and Paul just want a small wedding. Charlene says she doesn't understand them; getting married is the most important thing you'll ever do in your life.
Robinsons
Helen tells Scott that Jim drove No 13 and realised what a huge risk he took. Scott thinks this will make things worse as the only time he laid off him was when he was interested in the car. Jim arrives home and Scott quickly scarpers. Jim says he is still not going to the wedding and Helen reminds him about what he said earlier in the day. She presents Jim with a latter Ann wrote to her whilst pregnant with Lucy.
Mum, there's something I've never thanked you for and I should have. I've been so selfishly wrapped up in Jim and the kids that I've never got round to it. I know you had your doubts about the wisdom of us marrying so young, but you gave us your blessing anyway - you put our happiness first. That meant everything to Jim and me and of course you know we're as much in love now as we ever were - more probably.
Helen asks Jim if he would have put off the wedding if Helen hadn't given them her blessing. He says he wouldn't have and Helen tells him that Scott is just as much in love with Charlene as Jim was with Ann.
Office
Gail is flicking through Charlene's bridal magazines that she left behind. She is worried that she and Paul's wedding is getting out of control and wonders what the Robinsons will make of it. Paul says it doesn't matter, as people will understand it's the second time around for them. Gail thinks everyone will guess that they are only mouthing platitudes to each other whilst repeating their vows. She suggests they have a civil ceremony and keep the guest list to a minimum.
Ramsays
Charlene and Jane return from bridal shopping and Charlene is depressed as the dress fitted perfectly! She can't afford it and doesn't even think Madge would be able to copy the pattern. Henry is sure there has to be a way to get the dress but Charlene storms off to her room.
Robinsons
Helen is making dinner and Scott asks when Jim will be home. Helen asks him to try and make an effort and understand how hard it's been for Jim raising the family without Ann. Scott thinks if Ann were still alive she would talk Jim into coming to the wedding. Helen suggests Scott go and talk to Jim. Scott says he doesn't know where he is but Helen says she thinks she does....
Cemetery
Jim is laying flowers at Ann's grave.
Jim: I miss you Ann, especially at times like this. I've been asking myself what you would have done and I think I know now.
Scott arrives and tells Jim he loves Charlene and wants to marry her and would really like Jim to be there. Jim says he'd be proud to be there and congratulates Scott. They head to The Waterhole.
