Robinsons
Scott shouts after Jim and says the further he stays out of his life the better. Helen tries to calm Scott down and says she will talk to Jim. Lucy says Jim has been cranky ever since she came back.
Helen follows Jim into the kitchen. He's not in the mood to listen to anybody and says Helen is so caught up in the romance she can't see the reality of the situation. Helen tries to explain Scott's reasoning and how he thought Jim would approve of his responsible attitude. Helen points out they both married young but Jim says it's different - he was already at Uni when he got married. Jim refuses to talk about the subject any further.
Mrs Mangels
Madge arrives and Harold tells her he is going to Queensland. Madge shows him the ring and he says she should keep it. Madge says she can't and leaves it on the table. Harold can't bring himself to look at her so Madge says goodbye and leaves. Harold takes the ring in his hand and the sad music starts. Tragic.
Ramsays
Charlene is fuming at the way Jim treated Scott. Henry says it was probably just a shock for Jim and tells Charlene to give Jim some time. Charlene thanks Henry for always being an optimist and says he should be more positive when it comes to his own life. He says he hopes she and Scott live happily ever after, and he's sure that any minute now Madge will walk through the door with the rock back on her finger and a smile on her face. Madge walks through the door in tears and runs to her bedroom.
Robinsons
The police call Scott - they found his car burnt out and dumped after it was involved in a robbery. Jim tells Scott he is sorry about the car but points out he was about to sell it anyway. Scott says he wouldn't know about it as he doesn't have feelings for people! Scott says he's a tyrant and says he's glad he doesn't approve of the wedding, as he doesn't want him there anyway. He says he can't change the fact that he's his father but he's going to do his best to forget it!
Robinsons
Paul and Gail arrive and Lucy rushes over to Paul for a hug. Paul makes a joke about Scott and Charlene stealing his and Gail's thunder, but Jim doesn't see the funny side. He thinks Scott is ruining his life. Helen sends Jim to take the garbage out and Paul asks Gail if she can handle the Robinsons in crisis. She says she'd better find out before they get married!
Ramsays
Scott is telling Charlene and Madge about the latest row with Jim. Madge tells them Jim will come round once he gets used to the idea. Madge tells them they could live with her after the wedding so long as they help around the house. Madge thinks they should start planning the wedding and Henry asks who will give Charlene away. Madge suggests Dan but Charlene wants Henry to give her away. They start to celebrate.
Robinsons
Rob arrives and starts talking about No 13. Gail is shocked to find out Jim already has his racing license. She tells him he should stay away from the car unless he wants to be the next victim. Jim thinks Gail is being neurotic and Helen comments that Gail is becoming as obsessed with the car as Jeremy was. Gail says Jeremy and his father never listened and now they're dead. Lucy looks worried.
Mrs Mangels
Des comes over to see Jane and give her a bunch of newspapers. They are back issues and he thinks they would be of help to Mrs Mangel. Des feels guilty about what happened and tells Jane if there's anything he can do she should let him know. Jane tells him she doesn't know what to tell Mrs Mangel about Len. Des tells her to ring Clive and get some professional advice.
Robinsons
Scott skips breakfast and heads to work. Jim says he didn't know he had left school and says he doesn't approve. Scott tells him he has a job at Lassiters and asks him not to blame Paul as he used a different name when he applied for the job. Scott also announces that he is moving in with Charlene at the Ramsay house. Lucy is upset and tells Jim not to drive No 13. Jim tells her he'll be fine and asks Helen if Lucy's outburst is Gail's fault. Helen says she will have a word with her,
The Coffee Shop
Des is serving Harold and Rob as Daphne is at the doctors. Harold tells Rob he misses his morning tea with Mrs Mangel since she kicked him out of the house. Harold tells Rob he is moving to Queensland, as there is no reason to be in Erinsborough anymore. Jim arrives and tells Rob to ask Gail to stop filling Lucy's head with horror stories about No 13. Jim tells Rob he is planning to drive the car this afternoon.
Ramsays
Charlene is late for work. Madge asks her what sort of wedding dress she'd like. Charlene wants something old fashioned and romantic like Cinderella's dress. Madge is worried that she won't be able to afford a good dress for Charlene.
The Office
Helen tells Gail she appreciates her concern for Jim, but asks her if she wouldn't talk about it in front of Lucy. Gail apologises and says she wasn't thinking. Helen says she doesn't blame Gail and admits she is worried for Jim herself. Paul thinks they are both being paranoid and Gail pleads with them both to stop Jim from racing the car.
The Coffee Shop
Des congratulates Scott on his and Charlene's engagement. Jim arrives and Scott leaves without saying a word to him. Des tries to talk positively about the wedding but Jim's mind is fully made up.
The Office
Helen, Paul and Gail are talking weddings. Gail insists that Scott and Charlene's wedding should take precedence, as she and Paul just want a small wedding. Jim arrives and says he is picking up No 13 from the garage. Gail tells him he mustn't and he snaps that he is not some schoolgirl she can frighten with her horror stories. Gail walks out and Paul tells Jim if he's finished insulting Gail he can leave. Jim tells Paul he wants Scott out of Lassiters. Paul says he is not going to sack his own brother and Helen backs him up. Jim walks out in a fury and Helen tells Paul they have to stop him from driving No 13.
