Number 32
Kyle is in shock at Amy's revelation. She says she's been feeling off for weeks which makes Kyle think the 'baby' could have been conceived during their night at Lassiters.
KYLE: Babe, that's great, isn't it? That night has meant something bad for so long but this turns it into something really beautiful...Ok, we need to go to the chemist, grab a test.
AMY: I'd rather wait till morning.
KYLE: Where'd I put my keys?
AMY: Kyle! I'm tired.
KYLE: Aw babe, sorry yeah. Tomorrow. We'll go tomorrow. You need your rest. I'll grab you a water. Oh and a calendar! See when you'd be due.
Number 22
Paul tells Leo that it's lovely to have him home. Terese says it's a shame Roxy couldn't be there.
HARLOW: Do you like it there?
LEO: I love it. The food's amazing. There are really cool parties and the artwork's incredible.
He tells Ned that there's some great street art around his building. When Paul and Terese kiss, Leo feels awkward before he looks for his phone so he can show Ned some pictures. Out of earshot, Paul tells Terese that he's keen to fix the issues in his relationship with Leo. Upon his return, he asks Harlow how her exams went.
Number 30
Gary, Shane and Dipi have just finished dinner and there's a tense atmosphere.
SHANE: So what'd you think, Gaz?
GARY: Well, the flavour was really...flavoursome.
SHANE: Yeah, exactly. Quite the wordsmith aren't you, Gary Canning?
DIPI: Alright Shane, do you wanna get the table ready for desert please?
SHANE: Oh, I'd love to. Let me grab that for you, Shakespeare.
Dipi apologises for Shane's behaviour but Gary says it's fine. Shane returns with some bowls and soup spoons which causes him and Dipi to argue. Dipi goes into the kitchen and Shane tells Gary that she can be a bit childish sometimes. She wonders what they're talking about when she returns.
SHANE: We're just having a little heart to heart, aren't we mate?
GARY: Yeah, we are mate.
Gary laughs awkwardly.
Ramsay Street/The Waterhole
Gary bumps into Kyle on the street who says he's just waiting for Amy to come back from the shops. Gary picks up on a weird vibe and asks his son what's really going on.
At The Waterhole, Amy's not looking where she's going and bumps into Sheila, dropping her pregnancy test.
Gary congratulates Kyle on the 'pregnancy' news.
Sheila congratulates Amy who looks less than pleased. Amy says it's not certain yet anyway.
GARY: Mate, this test is gonna be positive, I can feel it in my bones.
KYLE: I hope so. But you can't say a word to anyone, ok, especially not gran.
KYLE: I wouldn't.
Kyle raises his eyebrows.
GARY: I won't!
They hug again.
Back at The Waterhole, Sheila says not to worry about her telling anyone.
SHEILA: I'm a vault. Everybody says so.
AMY: Sheila, no-one can know. Not yet, especially not Gary.
SHEILA: I swear no-one will. Mum's the word!
She does a thumbs up.
Number 30
TOADIE: You're free today, right?
YASHVI: Nope. I've got big plans...serious chilling.
TOADIE: Ok, but how chill would it be to help out your favourite uncle?
YASHVI: Helping how, exactly?
TOADIE: Well I'm glad you asked.
Toadie explains that he's secured the old history wall for the Foundation, but Yashvi asks what that's got to do with her.
TOADIE: I need your help to create a clean canvas.
YASHVI: Pass.
He begs her and she finally gives in, but his overwhelming gratitude is a bit much for Yashvi.
Erinsborough Hospital
Harlow is discussing with her grandparents how it's not going to feel like Christmas as it's so hot, but they tell her they'll still cook all the traditional things so it won't feel any different.
Harlow: Can I at least make a clementine pudding?
Paul thinks she's talking about the cat but she explains that it's a British desert. As they reach David's hospital room, Aaron and David look disappointed and Paul asks what's wrong. They explain that the antibiotics aren't working, but there's others they can try. Unfortunately David can't go back on dialysis until the infection has cleared. Leo enters. David can tell from his glum look that the third test has revealed he's not an organ match.
Ramsay Street
Ned approaches Yashvi in the street and tells her he read in the newspaper that the underground fights had been reported to the police and shut down. He says he hopes the organizers don't think it was him who ratted on them as he wouldn't want to be on their bad side. Yashvi looks nervous.
YASHVI: It must be helpful knowing that it's all gone away.
NED: Well they'll probably start up another one sooner or later.
Yashvi looks at him knowingly but he promises that he won't go back. Instead he's going to take the advice of his therapist and focus on something healthier.
YASHVI: You know what, I think I have a brilliant idea for you.
Ned smiles at her.
Number 26
Sheila's making a cake humming nursery rhymes to herself as Gary walks in.
GARY: What are you singing?
SHEILA: Never you mind.
Gary sticks his finger in the bowl and tries his mother's cake mix.
GARY: Triple choc, Kyle's favourite. So what's the occasion?
She says there doesn't have to be an occasion but he's not buying it.
GARY: So what do you know?
SHEILA: Nothing. What do you know?
GARY: I think maybe I also know nothing.
SHEILA: Well, I'm not telling you my nothing. Until you tell me your nothing first.
GARY: Probably the same nothing.
SHEILA: I won't be first. Because the nobody who told me my nothing would never forgive me.
They agree to both say their 'nothings' on the count of 3; that way nobody gets the blame.
SHEILA & GARY: 1, 2...Amy's pregnant!
They're both relieved to have someone to talk to about it. But they're less than thrilled when they realise they're going to be a granddad and great gran.
GARY: Jeez, does that make us old?
SHEILA: Yeah.
Erinsborough Hospital
Terese asks Paul if there's anyone else he can ask to be tested as he has such a big family.
PAUL: I've tried all the nieces and nephews; Sophie, Harry, Hannah, Madison.
He goes to ring Scott again. Harlow's too young to be tested but asks Leo if she should perhaps look into getting tested at another hospital, but he doesn't think it's a good idea. Paul returns and unfortunately Scott is definitely not a match either.
Community Centre (exterior)
A lady has delivered a box of books off to Toadie, who she thought might find them useful for the literacy programme. He's very grateful and sees 'The Lost Man' at the top of the pile, saying he loves that book. He sees that all the books are the same novel and jokes that she must be a massive fan.
LADY: Well actually, I'm Jane.
TOADIE: Nice to meet you...as in...Jane Harper, the author?
JANE: Yep.
TOADIE: Whoa, wow! It's nice to meet you. Thank you so much.
JANE: It's my pleasure. You do some great work here.
Jane says she better be off. Ned and Yashvi approach Toadie and she tells him it's his lucky day as she's roped Ned in to help, saying he can be their artist. Ned wonders what she's talking about and Toadie explains that he's secured the history wall for the foundation and they need to come up with a new design. Yashvi encourages Ned to be involved.
TOADIE: As long as the new design evokes community spirit, I'm all for it.
NED: Ok, yeah, thank you, I'd love to be involved.
Toadie makes sure Yashvi's ok with Ned being involved and she assures him she is.
Number 32
Kyle and Amy wait for their pregnancy test result.
KYLE: This is it.
AMY: Here goes nothing.
The test is negative. Kyle is surprised, but Amy remarks that it must have just been stress which made her late. Kyle says it must be a message from the universe; telling them they should try for a baby. Amy doesn't look at all taken with the idea.
Erinsborough Hospital
Leo apologises for not being a match.
PAUL: Leo might have been a match if you hadn't had the blood transfusion.
DAVID: We can't blame this on anything. The antibodies in my blood just didn't like what Leo had to offer. Just wasn't meant to be.
AARON: Hey, can I go and get you anything? Do you want more pain meds at all?
DAVID: No, I'm not feeling great. But I guess I've gotta get used to that now.
AARON: Come on, you'll beat this, alright? And then they're gonna get you straight back on that dialysis.
LEO: Yeah and before you know it you'll have a new kidney.
DAVID: None of those things are guaranteed. We don't know what's going to happen.
AARON: David, you're gonna beat this. You believe that, don't you?
DAVID: Yeah, sorry. I...let the patient side get the better of me. Intellectually I know I should be ok, I'm just tired from the golden staph.
Paul reassures his son that he will beat this.
Erinsborough Hospital
Paul and Aaron leave David's hospital room and Aaron's worried as David's starting to look less and less hopeful. Paul receives a text.
PAUL: Daniel, my nephew. He's not a match either.
Aaron begins to look really worried.
PAUL: I promise you that I will do whatever it takes to...
AARON: (interrupting) Paul, don't do that. What it will take to fix this is a donor and you can't promise one of those.
Aaron goes back in to see his husband.
Community Centre (exterior)
NED: Struggling with that coverage a bit there, are ya?
YASHVI: You need glasses, my coverage is perfect.
They continue to rib each other before Yashvi flicks paint at Ned. Shane watches in disgust.
TOADIE: Alright, that's enough of the Jackson Pollock routine.
YASHVI: Who?
TOADIE: This is a serious project and as such I expect you to take it seriously.
They continue to flirt and Gary appears behind Shane, saying he assumes he's not pleased about what he sees. He offers Shane some advice about daughters; saying the harder you push, the harder they push back.
Erinsborough Hospital
Amy says she's going to go and ring Jimmy but Leo tells her not to; saying it might be best to wait until they've got some better news.
AARON: How is Jimmy, anyway?
AMY: With everything going on, I haven't spoken to him in a while.
Leo offers to get David some food from Harold's and Amy accompanies him. Outside, Leo asks if she's ok and she replies that it's been a weird day - she thought she was pregnant but she's not. Leo consoles her but she says she didn't actually want to be; she was relieved.
LEO: Have you changed your mind about having a baby?
AMY: We are not ready to have a baby. And I don't know if we ever will be.
The Waterhole
Gary and Sheila try and make Kyle feel better after the disappointing news. Sheila says there's still triple choc chocolate cake for him at home though. He heads off home.
GARY: I wish I hadn't gone and got this bloody voucher.
SHEILA: Yeah, well...you can get a refund. Extenuating circumstances.
GARY: I've got a better idea mum.
He walks over to Shane and Dipi and hands them the envelope.
DIPI: What's this?
GARY: It's a gift. I know things have been pretty rough for the two of you lately so I figured you could use some quality time.
They are taken aback by his kindness. As he walks away, Shane says Gary is a good guy. Dipi thinks he's being sarcastic and tells him to grow up, but he says he means it. Shane apologises for his recent behaviour and the pair happily agree to put their recent differences in the past.
Community Centre
Toadie hands Ned and Yashvi some more paint, asking them not to have any more paint fights. As they walk towards the wall, Ned discusses his ideas for the new design. They stop in their tracks when they see the wall has been graffitied. It now reads 'SNITCH'.
NED: That's gotta be Kane. He must think I went to the police.
YASHVI: Or he figured out the truth. I called the cops. The message is for me.
