Aaron brings out leftover food from yesterday's party. Kyle asks if Leo is crook or something as he was moaning all night, David suggests he go check on him. Just then Carmen arrives wearing only Leo's shirt. She explains Leo is getting dressed. Leo joins them, while Aaron goes to get them all coffees.
Bea and Elly order coffees from the coffee hut. Bea's nervous about her big meeting. Sheila walks past slowly.
ELLY: Sheila, you alright?
SHEILA: If you mean there's been no more personal family disasters today, yep, I'm fine.
Sheila walks away gloomily. The band, King Calaway, arrive and introduce themselves to Bea and Elly. They offer for Bea to perform a song with them today. The show is at 1, so there's plenty of time to rehearse. They offer to meet back in an hour, while Bea and Elly jump around excitedly.
Carmen and Leo are telling Kyle, David, Aaron and Chloe how they met, and how Pierce made a move on her. Apparently, Pierce isn't her type. She explains she's an accountant, Chloe pretends to fall asleep at hearing that. Carmen says everyone makes that joke until they realise she can help them double their tax return. They all make bad jokes about accounting, when Chloe gets a text from Elly inviting her to a pre- natal yoga class. She thinks she was only invited at the last minute. Chloe isn't sure about going at first, but eventually thinks it will be good.
Bea tells Karl, Susan and Finn about King Calaway asking her to perform with them. Bea is worried as she's never sung with anyone else before. Karl and Susan apologise for missing the festival, but they will be there today with bells on. Elly leaves her room and sees Finn and Bea holding hands behind the counter and looks peeved about it. Finn wishes he could see Bea perform, if only he could break through the force field. Elly says that will only get him in trouble. As Elly leaves, everyone looks awkward. Susan says Toadie will be around later, Finn might even have the tracking and monitoring off this afternoon.
Chloe, Elly, and the pregnancy group are doing yoga in the park. The instructor, Hulya, comes over to chat to them. Chloe says she is just here for moral support, Hulya thinks it's great to have someone to talk to about the realities of parenthood. As they list all the things that Elly has to look forward to such as nappy changing, feeding, being chained to the house, Chloe is surprised by how much there is. She hopes Elly will be able to get away to do fun stuff, but Elly says that's only if Chloe offers to babysit for her. Hulya says it will be a whole new world, but she's pleased Elly has someone like Chloe to help her. Chloe looks like a rabbit in the headlights.
Toadie tells everyone that Yashvi is giving the police her statement now, Toadie hopes this will be enough to discredit Alfie. Toadie breaks it to Finn that it will take time before his ankle monitor can be removed. Finn is furious that he's under house arrest for doing nothing, while the guy who broke in is walking around free. Everyone looks uneasy, but after Finn calms down he just wishes he could see Bea sing. Bea leaves them to rehearse with the band, hugging Finn goodbye.
Some time has passed, as Chloe and Elly return home chatting about the instructor acting like a baby was a ticking time bomb. They greet Finn who is making a sandwich in the kitchen. Elly tells Chloe that her life will change. Chloe thinks it will just be for a short while and then it will be back to normal, Elly can put the kid in day care and she can go back to school. Elly says she will be taking at least a year's leave if she can afford it, and her career will take a backseat for a while along with everything else. Elly asks Chloe to feel her belly, but soon realises it's just has indigestion. Chloe thought it could be baby hiccups, she's been asking David for some information about pregnancy. Elly thinks its sweet she has done her research. Finn suggest Elly call Shaun to tell him about the baby flutters. Elly dismissively says it's the middle of the night in Switzerland and she'll call him later.
Carmen comes through after her shower and kisses Leo, who is sitting on the sofa. She says she has to go as she has work to do. Leo asks her to help him with some accounts, and opens it up on his laptop to show her. He asks her to help him, and they start flirting and kissing again.
Finn is rubbing his ankle when Elly comes in and lectures him about trying to take the ankle monitor off.
ELLY: This is exactly why you and Bea shouldn't be together.
ELLY: Neither of you are thinking straight and you're doing irrational things.
ELLY: Bea nearly missed her gig at the festival because of you. If you'd just gone to the police and told them about Alfie in the first place, instead you're trying to break the law so you can go and see her sing?! I knew this would happen. Finn if you care about Bea the way you say you do, then you'll stop being selfish and just let her go before you both get hurt.
FINN: I don't think you should lecture me about relationships or irrational decisions.
Finn tells Elly she's pregnant with his brother's baby, and she's just started dating Chloe. He says she's messing Shaun around, letting Chloe squeeze in on the baby stuff that he should be a part of. He angrily says that its ridiculous that she thinks he would be dumb enough to break his ankle monitor, when he was just scratching his ankle. He accuses her of being determined to think the worst of him.
One of the members of King Calaway discusses with Bea about a song they're going to duet. Bea doesn't know all of the lyrics. Another member hands a printed copy of the lyrics to her, and they ask to hear her sing them. She starts to sing but struggles with the first line, getting the words wrong. Another member goes through the first couple of lines with her. She starts singing but gets the words wrong again. She tells them she can't do this and leaves.
Carmen and Leo go through his account for the Back Lane Bar, suggesting he changes his casuals to contract staff as a way to save a lot of money. Leo tells her she's amazing and they kiss again, before he leads her through to the bedroom, leaving the laptop open.
Elly complains to Chloe about Finn talking to her like that. Chloe says it sounded like Elly started it. Susan and Karl overhear from the couch and share a concerned look. Chloe understands that Finn is just worried about his brother. Elly asks if Chloe is taking Finn's side. Susan and Karl chip in and say that they know Elly is worried about Bea and Finn's relationship, they all are, but Finn has promised to be honest with them. Elly asks if they should just wait for something to go wrong then. Elly says Bea and Finn are not good together. Elly leaves to take out the rubbish.
As Elly takes the rubbish out, she sees Finn and Bea sitting in the garden chatting. Elly listens in. Bea tells Finn about struggling to read the lyrics. Finn asks if she told the band she had dyslexia, but she couldn't. Finn says she learns lyrics differently from others, it just makes her uniquely talented. Finn loads the song on Bea's phone and tells her that she can listen to the song a dozen times on her way back to the pavilion. The band would be mad not to give Bea another chance.
Ned comes in to find Carmen sitting alone on the sofa looking at Leo's laptop. She tells him that Leo is in the shower, as Ned introduces himself. He asks if they've met before, as she looks familiar. Ned asks if she's from the territory, up north, Carmen shakes her head, saying she must just have one of those faces. Ned leaves, while Carmen says she'll let Leo know he stopped by. After Ned leaves, Carmen rushes back to Leo's laptop and starts typing.
Lassiters Pavillion/Number 28
King Calaway introduce Bea as she joins them on stage. David, Aaron, Kyle and Pierce are watching. Pierce says this is exactly what he hoped the music festival would do, Aaron tells Pierce he's turned Erinsborough into a touring destination. While Bea and King Calaway perform, Karl tells Sheila he didn't expect to see her here, she says anything to get her out of the house right now. Karl nods and goes to join Toadie. Chloe tells Elly she is on her side, Elly knows that. Elly believes Finn has good intentions, although she doesn't think this is going to end well. Elly video calls Finn, and holds the phone up so he can see Bea perform from the sofa at Number 28. The audience nod along to the song, Aaron and David kiss. The audience cheer at the end of the song.
Leo is putting his shoes on, asking Carmen if she's ready to go, but she isn't there. Leo sees his open laptop and sits down, looking at it, concerned. David and Aaron return home and ask Leo what's up. Leo tells them all the money from the bar's bank account has been swiped. Carmen stole all his money.
