Number 30
Dan uses a sheet to demonstrate to Toadie and Callum how they can cut holes in a sheet and use it as a costume, which Toadie hilariously mistakes for a Ku Klux Klan outfit, but Dan puts him straight, telling him it's meant to be a ghost. Callum thinks it's lame, but Dan points out they've left it to the last minute, and says he plans to go as The Grim Reaper. Callum suggests they go as zombies. It surprises Dan that Callum knows what one is. Callum asks him if he's seen 'Night Of The Living Dead'. and other zombie movies. He gets animated describing them, as does Toadie, and Dan realises how Callum has seen the moveis. When Callum leaves the room as he's thought of another bright idea, Dan shoots Toadie a look.
TOADIE: What? It's not like I 'let' him watch these moveis.
Callum comes back in with a bottle of ketchup for fake blood, and he and Toadie have a great time pretending to throw the 'blood' everywhere.
Number 28
Zeke is on the phone, obviously hearing the gossip that Angus turned up at the party. He tells whoever is on the other end of the phone that he'll get changed and come over. As he hangs up, Ringo appears and thinks Zeke can't be bothered getting changed. Zeke tells him that Ty was on the phone to tell him 'Henderson's back' and he's clearly not happy. He says Ty wants him to go over, but tells Ringo he doesn't see the point. Ringo agrees that Rachel knows how he feels about it. Zeke says she knows how Karl and Susan feel about it too. He's worried she'll move out and get pregnant and he'll never see her again. Ringo tries to calm him down.
ZEKE: And you kinow what the saddest thing is? I don't care.
Ringo says they should go to the party and keep an eye on him, and they can have some fun. Zeke agrees to go.
Number 26
Karl says he doesn't know whether to shake Angus' hand or wring his neck. Susan agrees that wringing his neck sounds pretty good to her.
Angus says he came pretty close to just deleting her message.
RACHEL: You were going to give up on us, just like that?
He says her message brought him to his senses. He says he's here to stay, and tries to embrace Rachel, but she rejects his advance asking if it's until he changes his mind again.Ty looks on as Rachel asks how she can trust him. Angus says he'll just have to stick close until she does. Angus says when he heard the message, he realised he can't run from the truth - he can't live without her. She rejects his advance once again She still thinks he'll run off again. Ty comes over and tells Angus to back off. Angus asks him who he is. He says he's a friend. Rachel begs Ty not to get involved. Angus asks him what business it is of his. Karl and Susan come over to break them up. Susan tells Angus he should go, but Rachel wants him to stay. Susan says it's not the right time or place. Rachel says if he leaves, she does too. Deflated, Karl tells her it's her call.
Number 30
Callum comes out in his zombie costume, chased by Dan as The Grim Reaper telling an awful old zombie joke. Toadie runs out and says there's a message on the answering machine from Sam. Dan asks if she's OK, which Toadie says she sounds fine. Dan makes to go, but Toadie asks if he wants to call her back. Dan asks where she is. Toadie says she's in London with friends. Dan says she's OK then, and he can delete the message. Toadie asks if that means he's moving on. Dan says he is, and Toadie says it's about time. Steve then comes out dressed as a cricketer. Toadie and Callum then run across the road. Dan asks Steve if he's up for the party. Steve says 'let's go bowl them over, eh?'
Number 26
Toadie and Callum greet Rebecca at the door with scary zombie-tude and the other men arrive behind them.
REBECCA:(to Steve): Who are you meant to be?
STEVE: Warnie (Shane Warne).
REBECCA: Of course! That is pretty scary isn't it?
Toadie asks Rebecca who she's meant to be. She says a Stepford Wife. Toadie explains to Callum 'that makes her even scarier than you, my zombified friend'. Callum says 'Zombies don't have friends, they have victims' which gives Rebecca an excuse to leave. She asks Steve if Miranda's coming with him. He says that she probably won't make it. Rebecca's phone goes off and she announces that it could be Bridget. She tells everyone it is, they're coming up the driveway and everyone needs to get down, which they do, hiding (poorly) whereever they can.
Outside, Declan still thinks something is going on. He is wondering where all the guests cars are. Bridget acts frustrated and tells him tthere's a nice family dinner planned, and he should try to be grateful. He tries to listen at the door, but hearing nothing, he decides it's going to be a 'boring 18th after all - apart from your gorgeous tat(too)'. He decides he wants a closer look, but as he opens the door, everyone jumps out, and there's cheers and party blowers going off. Rebecca greets him and he says he knew he had a party. When she worries it's blown, he says Bridget had him convinced there wouldn't be a party, so she still got him. Then he notices the costumes and tells Bridget she had him going. She says she hasn't even started yet, and he has to get changed.
Number 26
There's knocking at the door, and eventually Miranda opens the door to find Nicola standing there, holding a present. Miranda tries to close the door but gives up and lets her in. She says she's sorry, she made a real mess of things.
MIRANDA: Forgive and forget? Forget that you seduced my son? Forget that you're in love with my husband? You can't expect me to trust you ever again'.
Susan and Rebecca then come in with a costume for Miranda. When they notice the scene Rebecca apologises for barging in, but Miranda says 'her sister' is just leaving, which she does reluctantly. Susan asks what's going on but Miranda says it's too tawdry to talk about. Susan suggests leaving, and Miranda says she isn't great company. Rebecca says that's nonsense, they have a great costume for her to the party.
Number 24
The boys are playing music. Libby and Dan dance.
TOADIE: Hey, where'd you learn that routine?
DAN: Oh, some chick at the Year 11 formal.
Bridget and Declan come out in costume as Bonnie and Clyde, to massive applause. Steph corners Toadie and says that Libby's been dancing with Dan for half an hour. Toadie asks if this is a problem. She says it could be since she's started seeing someone else.
The women come in with Miranda in costume, which provokes a 'wow' from Toadie and Steph, and a look from Steve, who walks off. Rebecca says that's not what he was supposed to do. Susan suggests they go somewhere quiet, but Miranda wants to stay.
Steph tries to break up Libby and Dan's dancing but they decide to go 'for some fresh air'. For a change, it's not a euphamism, as Dan tries to explain himself outside, but is accosted by zombie Ben, dressed as a Ninja who follows them out. Dan suggests he goes looking for Declan if he wants a proper fight. Libby calls Dan a chicken, and tries to follow Ben 'to keep an eye on him'. Dan stops her and says he's ready to move on, if that means anything to her.
LIBBY: Dan, please it's too...
DAN: Too sudden?
Libby's phone rings.
DAN: Oh, too late? That'll be the new guy.
She answers the phone, tells the caller where she is and that she can get away. She hangs up and tells Dan she has to go. Dan looks beaten.
Number 28
Libby is putting a coat on and rushes to answer the door to Lucas and let him in. They go to the kitchen and he asks if she's cold. She explains she's been to a fancy dress party and didn't have time to get changed. He asks to have a look.
LIBBY: A private peep show? I think you'll have to earn that.
LUCAS: Oh, really?
Lucas notices his balcony painting on the wall. Libby says she felt sorry for him - - plus she loved it. She asks why he wanted to see her. As he takes her coat off, Lucas says he just couldn't stay away. As he goes to kiss her, he notices she's not ready and asks what the matter is. Libby pauses, then says 'absolutely nothing' and then they kiss.
Number 24
Steve is out at the pool and Miranda comes out. He says he thought she wasn't coming. She says Susan and Rebecca talked her into it. Steve says he's never noticed the dress she's wearing before. Miranda says it's Rebecca's; she's not been out spending money they don't have. Steve says he wasn't going to say that. He was going to say....it doesn't matter. As long as they don't have to pretend everything is alright, because he's no good at lying.
MIRANDA: Could have fooled me.
STEVE: Don't talk to me about honesty
MIRANDA: I've never lied to you.
STEVE: You didn't tell me the truth, what do you call that?
Miranda decides she shouldn't have come out. Steve says Didge is the only one she'll hurt if she leaves, Miranda asks if he was thinking about Didge when he walked out. Steve asks if he had a choice. Miranda says he did 'you'd know that if you could get past your own ego'. She walks back inside, leaving him to stare at the pool.
Inisde, Angus tells Karl that he was wrong to run away, but he's determined to do the right thing now. Rachel and him need to work things out between the two of them. Karl says Susan and he have only one concern, Rachel's wellbeing, and nothing will change that.
Ty apologises to Rachel for butting in earlier. Rachel jokes he could blame it on the pirate costume. He says she's a good friend, and she owes him a song.
Steve is back inside and Bridget asks him what happened when he talked to Miranda. He says it'll be fine, and she shouldn't worry. Rachel overhears and tells Bridget that she can talk to her about it if she wants. She then apologises for asking Bridget to lie for Angus. Bridget says she didn't have to get so snotty with her. If he still wants a job at the gym, she won't say anything.
Miranda tells Susan and Rebecca that she's not in the mood and is going home. They try to persuade her to stay.
Callum opens the door to Nicola. She obviously wants to talk to Steve, but he just walks out. Toadie takes her to get a drink.
Miranda decides she's definitely going, but Susan says she doesn't know what's going on, but the party's just getting started
SUSAN: 'you might even get that husband of yours up on the dance floor'.
Number 24 (Declan's bedroom)
Steve is on his own until Nicola comes in. He tries to leave but Nicola asks him not to, saying she 'could really use a friend right now'. She asks where they all went wrong. Steve says 'In the beginning'.
Back in the living room, Ty sings a song. Didge and Dec kiss. Callum dances, they kiss some more, and Didge leads Declan toward the bedroom as they kiss again in the hallway.
In the bedroom, Steve says it's a terrible thing to wake up one morning and realise your marriage is based on a lie. He says if he'd known how Miranda felt he never would have married her. Nicola says everything could have been so different, and kisses him.
Outside, Bridget and Declan stop kissing and he goes to go into the bedroom, but notices the couple kissing through the crack in the door and leads her away. Inside, Steve stops the kiss and moves away, saying she knows how he feels about this. She says she loves him. Steve says then she should stop it, but she says she can't. She raises her voice, shouts that she can't, and walks out.
Declan is trying to distract Bridget, but she hits him with her crutch and asks who was in there. Just then she sees Nicola come out, distressed, as do all the women, including Miranda. She walks into the corridor followed by Declan and Bridget. They all see Steve come out who claims 'it's not what it seems'. Miranda storms off. Bridget calls after her and asks Steve what's going on. He follows after Miranda.
Back at the drinks table now, Bridget asks Declan what he saw. He says she should ask her dad. She says she would have if he hadn't left straight away. He tries to distract her again, but she presses him until he confesses that he saw Steve kissing Nicola. She asks why he didn't tell her. He says he didn't want to spoil the night for her. She says 'you mean you didn't want to spoil the night for you' and walks off.
Number 26
Miranda rips up a photo of her and Steve as he walks in. He tries to explain, but she won't listen, and storms into the bedroom. Steve notices the torn picture on the floor.
