Dan watching Libby and Ty dance at the school.
Sam tells Rebecca she has bipolar.
Zeke telling his parents that if they don't let him see Taylah, he'll just go behind their backs.
Jim Parker – Ned and Steve's dad – arrives at Number 26.
Jim telling Miranda that Steve saw him with another woman, ran off, and hid in the shed (a somewhat different version of Steve's story).
Jim telling Steve he wants to sort stuff out between them whilst there's still time.
Ned tries to encourage Steve to go fishing with his dad, but Steve doesn't want Jim gatecrashing his trip. Riley wants his granddad to go, and Steve concedes.
The General Store
Marco is caring for Chloe whilst Carmella sleeps. Sienna is serving Declan and Zeke, who is fed up because Taylah's not returning his calls. Sienna takes a big catering order and needs Marco's help; Marco asks Sam and Dan to babysit Chloe for him whilst he sorts out the order.
Jim and Lou banter over fishing as they pack up the car for the trip. Miranda kisses Steve goodbye, and Declan comes over, saying that the street expects them to bring back dinner for them all. Steve kindly invites Declan to come with them – not for coaching or footie, but purely R&R! Declan runs off to check with Becca.
Jim packs a load of alcohol into the car.
Libby is watching Ty play footie with Ben. Dan and Sam come round, with baby Chloe. Ben asks Dan to play footie with him, and Lib apologises to Sam for her son commandeering her husband.
Libby and Sam chat about motherhood. Sam confirms that having kids is out of the question for her whilst she's on medication, and Libby says that bringing up Ben alone is difficult – and will only get harder as he grows up. As they watch the guys play, Sam wishes she could give Dan a child, as he'd be a good dad.
Karl is typing up medical stuff – no doubt – when Taylah comes to see him. Of course, she has to see him, of *all* the doctors in town, because there are no other doctors who can deal with this issue.
Karl perches on his desk next to Taylah and asks how things are at home with her dad. Taylah confirms that Brad won't let her see Zeke, and she can't ask her GP with this because he's a friend of her dad's. She knows she can trust Karl because he treated her and Zeke like adults.
Oh, and she'd like to go on the Pill, please.
Karl doesn't look quite so thrilled at this prospect.
The Fishing Trip
By a river, the guys are setting up their lines. Jim and Lou are bantering, whilst Steve shows Declan how to cast off – but it turns out that Declan really knows how to fish already!
Declan senses the tension, and wonders why Steve and his dad don't get along?
It's like you can see the story coming – in an odd role reversal, Declan is going to coach Steve on his relationship with his dad, using his own experience...
Riley grabs a beer, as do Lou and Jim. Steve refuses. Declan quietly suggests that to fish properly, you have to concentrate, and Steve won't concentrate until he talks to his dad. Steve decides to accept the offer of beer after all. Dec smiles.
Karl is lecturing Taylah on the side effects of the Pill, but she's already researched it.
KARL: As your doctor it's my duty to inform you of any possible health risks.
TAYLAH: Yeah, and isn't an unwanted pregnancy risky?
Taylah confides in Karl that she's avoided Zeke all week so that she can have some space to think about this. Karl doesn't want her to feel pressured, but Taylah says that this time she wants to be prepared – a phrase that doesn't pass Karl by.
Karl kindly asks if she wants to talk about anything else, and Taylah nearly opens up – then changes her mind and goes to leave. Karl chases after her but she doesn't want to talk. She runs into Zeke who's here to see Karl. He wants to know what's going on.
In Karl's room, Karl tells his son that Taylah's not dying of any disease, and that he can't tell Zeke what Taylah has said to him. Zeke insists, but Karl refuses and tells Zeke to talk to Taylah, or write her a letter – use his head and heart.
Zeke strops off.
Ben and Dan are still playing footie whilst the others look on. Libby finally tells Ben to give Dan a break, and they and Ty run off. Sam tells her husband that she and Libby talked about babies.
DAN: We've got each other, Sammy. That's enough for me.
SAM: Is it really?
They kiss, and Sam knows he wants babies as much as she does.
The Fishing Trip
Jim, Riley and Steve come back from a wander at the river, and Lou has caught a large fish. Jim decides to try new bait to catch the yabbies. Riley asks about Jim fighting in Vietnam – he wants to hear about it from his granddad, but Jim doesn't want to talk about it.
Steve has caught a huge fish – as has Jim, but they've only caught a boot between them.
Chloe's screaming in her pram, and Sam doesn't know what to do – then she and Dan realise she's been stung by a bee. They decide to take her to hospital.
The Fishing Trip
Dec takes a picture of Riley and his catch. Jim says he'll cook them lunch with it. But Lou has caught another four fish in the meantime!
Jim and Steve have walked away to cook the fish, and in talking about Lou, Steve tells his dad that Lou misses his family. In return, Jim tells Steve that Steve's mum misses him, too.
JIM: Yeah, well Oakey's a long way away, Dad.
Really??? Because Steve and Miranda manage to drive there in a matter of two hours not that long ago.
Steve says that they don't have a lot of money, either, and he'd need to get someone to cover at the clinic. You know, the clinic we never see him at.
Jim says he wants to talk to his son about what happened the time Steve saw him with another woman. Jim admits he was a drinker, he belted Steve once or twice, and he broke his wife's heart – but he insists he never locked Steve in the shed. Steve accuses his dad of being a liar and a drunk and walks off.
Marco comes out of Karl's room with Karl and Chloe, to see Sam and Dan who are still waiting. Karl reassures them she'll be fine. Marco is surprised that Sam wouldn't want to look after Chloe again, and says she might regret offering! Marco takes Chloe home.
The Fishing Trip
Lou has caught yet another fish – a HUGE one this time. But Declan and Jim aren't buying it. Declan pulls out another fish that Lou brought with him – and this one is bigger than Mickey. Jim gets all riled up, but the others think it's a funny practical joke.
JIM: Do you want to tell me what's so funny about some guy who's so desperate to win that he cheats on his mates?
Jim grabs a beer and walks off.
Taylah turns up at the house to see Zeke and he's so happy to see her. She tells him she just needed time to deal with her dad which is an improvement. Zeke wants to know why she was seeing Karl – and she says she was getting headaches; Karl gave her some pills.
Karl returns at that moment, and Taylah quickly explains that she's told Zeke about the headaches. Zeke runs out to grab Audrey so they can take her for a walk, leaving Karl and Taylah alone.
TAYLAH: Sorry Doctor Kennedy.
KARL: Taylah, if you've got a problem you should go to your dad, or come and see me again.
TAYLAH: Thanks, but everything's fine.
KARL: I wish I could believe that.
TAYLAH: You can. Honestly, nothing to worry about.
Zeke and Tay run off with Audrey, and Karl is left alone, pondering.
The General Store
Marco thanks Sienna for holding the fort, and she agrees to help out whilst Marco takes Chloe home to Carmella. Libby and Ty are drinking shakes with Ben, who's not interested in his.
BEN: I was just wondering: is Ty going to be like Darren?
Libby is shocked, and explained to Ben that Ty and her are just friends, and Ben accepts it.
BEN: Oh, okay. 'Cause I thought that was gonna be dad.
Libby smiles awkwardly.
The Law Office
Sam takes a pill out but doesn't know whether to take it. Dan comes in and they talk about it – he says the pills are better than the alternative. She takes the pill, and Dan tells her to finish her emails whilst he gets them some lunch. After he leaves, she take the unswallowed pill from her mouth.
The Fishing Trip
The guys are getting ready to cook one of Lou's fishes. Jim wants the keys for the car to get some supplies from town, but Lou offers to go instead as he's only had one beer. Jim demands the keys, but Riley refuses, so Jim lunges at him. Steve tells his dad not to touch his son, and Jim cracks that Riley's not his son. Steve retorts that blood clearly has nothing to do with it, given the way Jim treated him as a boy.
JIM: You might be onto something there. That might explain why you and I can't stand each other.
STEVE: What the hell are you talking about?
JIM: Riley's not yours, and you're not even mine. What sort of family does that make us, eh?
Dum dum dum!
