Number 30
The celebration of Ned's one year anniversary is still going strong. In the front yard Stingray's whoa doing back flips off the wall and everything. He makes an entrance and drags the desk in the hallway away from the wall so he can do a flip. Has he been eating sugar again? Janelle encourages him and starts up a chant of 'Scotty, Scotty'. Anne asks Bree what's going on so Bree explains he's going to back flip off the wall and land on his feet. Anne thinks that's dangerous and Bree agrees; he has had concussion twice. They probably shouldn't encourage him but what are you gonna do. Stingray takes a run up and ooo by the sounds of it he's failed miserably, and put a hole in the wall. Everyone has a bit of a laugh at practically head standing Stingray telling everyone he's okay. Janelle stops laughing and says she isn't paying for that before running off. Bree says to Stingray he should stop overcompensating and just go see Rachel. But poor old Scotty is trying to forget that.
Oh gross Lou pinches Janelle on the bum. He denies it, it must be her imagination. She replies if it was it would be Cam. He shouldn't be sad, she did let him tune her car. Oh yeah and he loved every minute of it. Ewwwwww.
Bree's finally got Stingray up, just in time too because Cam's got his beer. Stingray declines but according to Cam he had asked for it. No he wanted a soft drink. Riiiight.
Elle rushes over to Paul and tells him she thinks she's in trouble. We cut to outside, where Paul's hobbling along with a drink in his hand and is a bit surprised Elle hasn't thrown up yet. She doesn't want to, it's too gross. Paul starts a lecture, he can't believe how irresponsible she's been. Doesn't she know how strong those pills are. Elle says that Cam and Sky were right there, and she must've missed the pretend to take a pill class. Paul gives her the glass of salt water, that should help bring everything back up. Elle doesn't want to drink, it's gross but a threat to go to the hospital does the drink. Down the salty water (that looks like lemonade) grossness goes!
Meanwhile back at the party everyone's boogieing down, Janelle bumping into Anne because hey everyone loves the bump. Lou spots this opportunity and walks up to dance with her. Janelle asks what's in it for her. He doesn't really have anything so poor Lou's left to fend for himself. Bree calls Janelle Satan but Janelle's sure he loves it. Over in the corner Stingray's dancing with a random blonde which Bree sees.
Paul's about to slink out of the party with Elle but dag nabbit Cam spots them. Paul tells him he's going to get more supplies and he needs Elle because he could be 'over the limit'. Cam asks Elle if she's okay, she replies that she's fine and just needs a breather.
Number 28
Finally a different house! Bree, Zeke and Anne have let themselves in, they're taking her over to the party. Stingray may not have asked for them to get her in so many words but she needs to be there. Their whole future together depends on it. Rachel tells her not to be so dramatic, they don't have a future together anyway. Bree grabs her hand, drags her towards the bedrooms and says that she's going to go over there and they are both going to admit that they can't live without each other.
With Bree gone Anne says to Zeke that Bree can be pretty scary sometimes, and that it's obvious that he really loves her. He admits that he does but he doesn't want her to know, it might mess things up. Anne isn't sure how it could mess things up, then gets that he might not be sure that she loves him back. Zeke says he is but then asks what Bree's said to her. She says nothing, which is odd because girls always tell each other if they love their boyfriends. What is she getting at? Poor worried Zeke.
Number 30
Random blonde sneaks up on Stingray and asks him how he's going. We follow Cam over to Lou and Janelle, he's bargained that she can use Jelly Belly's pool whenever she wants for a dance. But Janelle wants the whole family too, the kids don't have to sneak around anymore. Lou says it's a deal and moves in for holding her hips but she pulls his arms into the air. I don't blame her.
Back over with Stingray he and the random blonde are having a nice old chat when Bree drags in a protesting Rachel. Just in time to see Stingray and RandomBlonde™ kiss! Rachel leaves just before Stingray says to this chicky that she's really nice but he's kind if stuck on someone else. Random chicky doesn't care but Stingray tells her he does.
Hospital
Paul and Elle come around the corner from the nurse's station and ask for a doctor, stat! Paul hands the bottle of pills over and tells the female doctor there that Elle took some of his niece's (that being Lucinda) pills. Elle adds that she thought they were vitamins. The doctor is about to lecture about hoe dangerous these pills are but Paul tells her to can it, he wants to know how much danger Elle is in. The doc asks how long ago Elle had the pills and how she's feeling (20mins and not too good) and says that she's starting to absorb the pills, and she hopes they can catch it in time. She starts to lead Elle away, they're going to pump her stomach. Paul assures her everything will be fine but once she's gone he doesn't look so sure.
Number 28
Anne can't see why Zeke wouldn't love him, he's the whole package. She can just tell he's gentle, kind and a real sweetie plus everyone says he's really hot. Just at this moment Rachel storms in with Bree in tow saying that it didn't look like Stingray was enjoying that kiss. Zeke asks what's going on. Rachel opens the fridge, telling him Stingray was pashing another girl.
ZEKE: Oh the two timer.
RACHEL: No, no he's not. We've broken up, it is none of my... where is the milk?!?!
Zeke informs her that she drank it all. Rachel says to everyone else (I think it's for her benefit more than anyone else's) that Stingray is single, he's allowed to do whatever he likes. She's glad for him, if he wants that desperate tart then fine. After all she does want him to be happy... but her kicking the bin says something else.
Hospital
Elle's in bed after her pumping when Paul comes to see how it went. Oh God Paul thinks once they let her out they should go to the party, they don't want to raise any suspicions. Understandably Elle feels terrible so she doesn't want to but Paul really does think she should put in an appearance just for a little while. Elle wonder why she started this stupid scheme, it's out of control now. That's for sure! She can't take everyone being so kind, she doesn't deserve it. She's a disgusting liar that's worse than Izzy. Elle's decided she's going to tell everyone the truth.
PAUL: Oh right. Hello everyone, I pretended to be dying so that Dylan would pick me over the knocked up hippy. Come on, the wheel is well and truly in motion on this one, you have to go through with it with courage and conviction okay? It'll all be worth it in the end.
He gives her a kiss on the head and goes to wait outside. He sits and looks somewhat worried when Carmella turns up. She swears that if she didn't know any better, he's feeling guilty about something. Heh. He dares her to swear like that's going to happen. He tells her that Elle was feeling a bit queasy so in order to prove to the world he is such a wonderful father he brought her to the hospital.
CARMELLA: It must be exhausting trying to act immoral all the time.
PAUL: You can't begin to fathom how someone like me operates.
Too right. Carmella gives it a go, that deep down he feels guilty for blackmailing her in return for his donation. He says she's right, he's not proud of it but he's going to feel so much better when they've had their night together. He asks if they could make it tonight but she refuses. Carmella tells him she's giving him every opportunity to redeem himself. He says she should save her energy for the date, the lost and lonely at the crisis centre will thank her. She can't back out now, he paid upfront. Carmella adds that she always keeps her promises.
Number 30
Ah man Lou and Janelle are slow dancing, thank god Janelle tells him hips out. She asks if they can use the pool tomorrow. That they can, Lou's working only half the day (morning shift). Janelle thinks that's too bad, she can only make it in the morning.
Paul practically drags sick feeling Elle inside, He takes her towards the kitchen so she can sit down for a minute but Cam's on them like a fly. Paul lies and tells him they had a flat tire but Cam doesn't buy it. Paul admits that Elle was feeling a bit off. She was fine, it was a false alarm. Elle starts with she's sorry, I think she's about to admit all but Paul pulls Cam aside and says that if he truly wants to help his sister he should back off. It only upsets her. Paul finally gets sicky Elle into the kitchen.
Zeke comes marching up to Stingray and whoa socks him one in the stomach, sending Stingray to his knees. Zekey tells him that's for hurting his sister before marching out again.
Ramsay Street - Day
Anne hands over a letter from Bree to Zeke, he's to read it in private. Janelle and Bree walk down the driveway to join them with their pool gear, Janelle's hoping Lou turned the pool heater on if he knows what's good for him. Bree says what's good for him is to give Janelle the flick and go back to Mishka.
Rachel's walking up from Susan's house and stops to talk to Stingray just out the front. Stingray tells her he knows she's upset with him, he knows because Zeke punched him. Rachel says he had no right to do that, what Stingray does is his business. Stingray follows her towards the group saying that that random blonde kissed him, he told her he was stuck on someone else. Rachel doesn't want to stop him from moving on.
STINGRAY: I'm not, Rach I haven't. I'm waiting for you.
You should've said that louder, I doubt she heard you. Janelle's leading the group, she wants them to hurry up so they can leave before Lou gets home. Oh dear, he's at the top of the driveway. He's swapped his shift so that they can spend some time together. Good lord.
Number 22
Cam lets Carmella in, she has flowers for Elle. She went to see her in hospital but she had been released. This is news to Cam, who gets mad and asks why Paul's protecting him, Elle needs all the help she can get. He takes the flowers and I presume goes to Elle's room.
Alone with Carmella, Paul says she's a bit early for their rendezvous. Carmella asks if he's even thought about how this will affect Lyn, he has finally met a good woman that can bring out the very best in him... Paul does not care. She can hope and pray all she likes but that's as good as he gets. And he isn't backing out, so there's no point in shaming him into it. He doesn't do shame. Carmella says that they'll see, and goes to leave. Just before she walks out the door Paul says he hopes she'll have a little surprise for him under the habit tonight. You dirty, evil man Paul!
Number 24
Zeke's reading his letter while Janelle assures Rachel Stingray wasn't going for it with a 'butt ugly pock', and he isn't a liar. She brought up her kids to have principles... erm? Janelle calls back to barbequing Lou that she wants her's medium. He replies that he'll do his best.
Bree's watched this, and says to Anne that her mum has no soul. Zeke comes over, he's stoked with the letter and knowing how Bree feels is unreal. Bree's got a 'what the' look on her face, she doesn't know what letter he's talking about. Anne tells her not to deny it, she was there when Bree typed the love letter. Bree asks if she can see it, just to remind her what she wrote. She can see she really went to town in that one.
Scarlet Bar
Stingray's downing a beer quicker than you can say 'another drink driving infringement' but Paul interrupts, wanting the usual. Cam's been researching Elle's disease and thinks she may be having a reaction to the drug. Paul wants to just put Elle's disease on the backburner for a while and live life as normal. Cam asks if he cares at all, because hey it is his daughter. Paul asks how he could accuse him of that, nausea is a normal side affect from these pills and yes he has looked into it as well. He's leaving no stone unturned. Paul is staying strong for Elle's benefit and if Cam truly wants to help her, he would too. Paul asks where his drink is... when we go to Stingray, he has some bottle in his hand.
Number 22 - Night
Paul and Cam watch Elle scoff her dinner. She says that her appetite comes and goes like the symptoms. Cam knows what's going on, she forgot her pill again. Getting up to get it, he says he knows she told him to back off but she can't avoid taking her medication just because it makes her feel sick. She takes the pill and Paul suggests that Cam go out and get some gelato nougat. With Cam gone Paul asks Elle to spit out the pill. Oops, she has swallowed it.
PAUL: You what?! You actually enjoyed having a dirty great big tube stuck down your...
ELLE: Dad I swapped it, it was fake. And it was worth doing just to see your hissy fit alone.
She's learnt from the best. Elle says that what he said was right, nothing is worse than being found out and when she gets Dylan back for good, then they can put this whole thing behind them.
Number 26
Janelle surprises Bree with some flowers for Zeke and reads the card out to her. 'I hope you love these flowers as much as I loved your letter. Your boyfriend, Zeke'. Bree asks if she's heard of a privacy act. Janelle runs to get the kettle which gives Bree the perfect opportunity to give Anne the flowers because there are really for her. Bree isn't mad, just weirded out. Anne explains that she and Zeke had a big D&M last night about Bree, he's insecure and doesn't know how she really feels. Misunderstandings like that can be fatal, so Anne was worried about their relationship. Bree asks if he was really that insecure and Anne replies that he was practically crying and she just wanted to help. Hmm.
Janelle rushes in, she's spotted Lou out the back and wants to pretend no one is home. Too late he's inside, and Bree calls him into the room. Lou's got leftovers, he was hoping they could heat them up for dinner. Janelle's sorry, she's already arranged and if he wants to take food out of kiddie's mouths... Ah she pushes Lou out the door. Bree's ashamed again, Janelle's being a disgusting loser and she's going to tell Lou.
JANELLE: You do young lady and you'll come a gutser, you'll hurt his feelings.
BREE: You'll hurt him even more. Look he has been kicked by so many women and now it's...
JANELLE: Oh alright you just keep your nose out, and I'll let him down gently. After he's weeded the backyard.
BREE: Mum!
JANELLE: Oh okay, okay. Rotten stinkin' do-gooder kid.
Lassiters Complex
Paul's waiting for Carmella with his picnic basket full of goodies. He walks around the corner and what do you know Carmella is there. She asks if they are having a picnic by the lake. He tells her they aren't, it's in a spa. He's got champagne, oysters, chocolates. Carmella informs him she doesn't drink and she hates seafood. Paul thinks she's be breaking a lot of old habits tonight. Carmella says the same goes double for him. Paul's intrigued by that statement. Carmella whistles and two other sisters come out of the darkness. She introduces him to two of her friends, Sister Agnes and Sister Frances, they'll be joining them tonight. Carmella tells them they're having a spa so go to the gift shop and buy some togs, Paul will cover the cost. Paul's annoyed, he says that the deal was that he was meant to be spending the night with her. Oh no that that Italian music again! Carmella replies that he is, but he never said that it would be just her. Paul tells her that he's cancelling the cheque but it's a bit too late, the crisis centre is already enjoying the money. He really is losing his touch, it must be all the guilt and shame. Carmella turns to join the sisters but walks back to Paul. She is embarrassed to admit she does have something for him under her habit after all. Paul thinks he still has luck until she gets out a The Sound Of Music DVD. Go Carmella! Paul's grumpy and gives a random person the basket, wishing them a Merry Christmas.
Number 24
Janelle's returned Lou's plate which has made his week. Why? I don't know. He offers to get her something but Janelle interrupts and tells him to sit. She starts with it's obvious he has the hots for her something chronic but the first won't be the last.
LOU: I hope I'm the last.
Urgh. Janelle says the thing she does to men isn't her fault (what thing?) and she doesn't want to give this painful speech but she is. She likes Lou as a friend, nothing more. Never have and probably never will. Lou guesses that he did know that from the start and complains of ouchiness when she pats him on the back. He thinks it's a bit of sunburn from the BBQ. Janelle looks around for some moisturiser for it, and finds some of Sky's. She looks at his back and asks if he went through all that pain for nothing. It must've hurt, even more now he's gone off her straight away. Lou has no bloody clue what she's talking about so Janelle tells him it's the big fat tattoo that says Mishka. Lou denies having a tattoo but as we and Janelle can see, he certainly does. Janelle thinks either he has the weirdest case of denial she's ever seen or something strange is going on.
