Erinsborough Hospital
IZZY: I lied to Karl. I told him nothing happened and he honestly believes me.
Susan is in shock as Izzy tells her she's telling the truth. She says Karl is a good man who doesn't deserve his life to be ruined again. Susan, realising that Karl wasn't that good the last time isn't falling for Izzy's story.
SUSAN: Oh yes you're both a couple of saints. You tripped on your halos and accidentally fell into bed together.
But Izzy is persistent and tells Susan that Karl was out of it. He was exhausted, full of medication and hallucinating to the point where he thought Izzy was Susan.
IZZY: He begged you to stay with him.
SUSAN: And yet you did.
Izzy says she didn't realise what was happening, she thought Karl wanted her. Of course. Who wouldn't? Izzy continues and said she only realised what had happened when she heard Karl talking on the phone to Susan the following morning. She says she felt totally and utterly stupid and snuck out before Karl could see her. Susan asks Izzy if she would have confessed had Susan not found her earring.
IZZY: Are you joking? I want to forget that this ever happened. It's embarrassing.
Susan goes to leave but Izzy grabs her arm. She tells her to think whatever she likes about her but begs her not to blame Karl.
IZZY: He wanted you. Not me.
Susan looks down to her arm and Izzy lets go of her.
The Scarlet Bar
Cameron is sitting alone as Paul, Lyn and Elle arrive. He guides Elle to her seat and asks her how she is. She says she's tired. He wonders where Dylan is and when Elle says he's at a food seminar Cameron can't believe it. He thinks Dylan should be with her at a time like this. Seeing Cams concern leads Lyn to depart. She tells Paul that he should have a family evening, however they make plans to 'debrief' later. I can't believe I just had to write that.
Meanwhile Toadie is showing Ned a trick. He wants to show everyone how pranks are really done, as apparently Steph is an amateur. He takes some cling film from Stingray and stretches it over his glass of beer. Ned is so not impressed as Toadie looks for a victim. It doesn't take him long to spot the Robinsons but before he can head over there Ned swaps his beer glass for Toadies prank one. He approaches the Robinsons and asks Elle how she is whilst aiming his glass at her. Within seconds Elle is drenched in beer and Paul is screaming blue murder. Ned is beside himself with laughter and Toadie makes his way back to his table. Stingray comes over and says they shouldn't have picked on Elle, as she's seriously ill. The boys look shell-shocked as Stingray reveals Elle is dying.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl comes in to check Izzy and says she will be discharged in the morning. She tells him she told Susan. Karl looks a bit confused as Izzy tells him that Susan found her earring in his bed sheets. Karl asks how it got there and Izzy says she lost it when they.......
Karl is pretty shaken up and walks around shaking his head. Izzy tells him she's sorry but admits they did sleep together. As Karl gets some more flashbacks from their night together, Izzy tells him she only lied because she didn't want to get him in trouble. Izzy continues to explain but Karl just wants to know what Susan said. Izzy says she didn't say anything; she just walked out. Karl walks out looking pretty gutted as Izzy once again apologises.

Max is fixing the chair and Steph is trying to help. But he's pretty annoyed with her and is reluctant to talk. Steph sits down with Charlie and tells Max she can't keep apologising. She says it's not like she murdered Izzy and hey, the bump may knock some sense into her. Max looks at Steph blankly and she asks him if something is going on. She says he hasn't been the same since he got back from the meditation weekend and asks if something happened that she should know about. He tells her some stuff came up that he needs to think about but says it's 'secret mens business'. He reassures her that there's nothing for her to worry about but Steph looks a bit stressed. Mind you I should point out that baby Charlie is about to rip her earring out and that would make me feel stressed too.
No 28
Susan is sitting at the table all alone in the dark. The door slowly opens and Susan turns her head to see who it is, even though it's obvious she knows who it is. Karl says she has spoken to Izzy and states that she lied to both of them. He says he is appalled and feels sick to the pit of his stomach. Susan stops him from saying anymore and says she needs to make sense of this - alone. He edges towards her but she urges him to go. Karl walks out the door and Susan is once again left alone in the dark.

Cam has brought Elle a present. It's a pill dispenser. He says he is going to take charge of her medication. Elle looks as guilty as hell whilst her sweet brother goes into the kitchen to sort things out. Elle tells Paul she didn't think Cam would be this involved and wonders what the pills would actually do. Paul doesn't look too bothered and tells her not to take any of the pills, as they don't know what the side effects are. Toadie, Sky and Ned arrive. They're throwing a party to celebrate the anniversary of Neds arrival in Ramsay Street. Well done readers. It's been a tough year but you made it. They try to convince Elle to come but she says she's not up to it. Sky breaks the pretence and says the party is for Elle, so she has to be there.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl joins Sky for her hospital appointment. She tells him Stingray will be joining her as his documentary is on her pregnancy. Karl is a little shocked but Sky says it's important for his career and she feels she owes this to him. Karl is not very happy about being filmed but Sky just asks him to get on with it, she has to know her results. The tests have shown that Skys baby will have no abnormalities. She is overwhelmed and Stingray hands her the phone to call Dylan. Karl and Sky both look like they want the ground to open up.

Lyn is waving Oscar goodbye as he goes to spend the day with Ned. After they have left a hand drags Lyn into the kitchen. It's Paul. They do a lot of pashing and other stuff until Steph walks in and catches them at it. She heads straight back out the door and Lyn and Paul continue 'making breakfast'.
Ramsay Street
Steph walks out of No 26 and she looks like she is about to throw up. Toadie stops her and asks if she's ok. She says Izzy was right; Lyn and Paul are together. Toadie thinks it's another prank but Steph says it's true. Steph divulges more details like Paul wearing Lyn's dressing gown and Toadie says she's doing a good job but it's starting to sound unrealistic now. Ned says he has had his suspicions for a while which leads Toadie to think they are both in on the act. Toadie is blown away by this double act and says they should get Paul and Lyn in on the act too, in fact they should announce their engagement at the party.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl is in his office, sitting alone in the dark in accordance to soap rule 301. Susan arrives. She says she's sorry for being so uncommunicative last night. Karl says he's the one who should apologise again and again and again. Karl tells Susan he knows what she's going to say; it's over between them. Susan tells him she thought about that and then asks why they are believing Izzy. After all she's lied about everything since she set foot on the street, why should anything be different now? Susan is in denial and thinks that Izzy may have planted the earring to cause trouble. Karl looks at Susan helplessly and says Izzy was telling the truth.
SUSAN: So it happened?
KARL: Yes.
SUSAN: So what. I know you love me and you know I love you and I'm not going to let Isabelle sabotage what we've found together again.
KARL: You want us to keep seeing each other?
SUSAN: I need to talk to the kids but with their blessing I'd like you to move in with us. Come home Karl.
With tears in their eyes they exchange a look that I can't put into words. But if you know the Karl and Susan magic then you'll know what I'm talking about.

The party is in full swing and Elle has to drink orange juice instead of champers. Toadie makes a speech and says this party is full Elle so that she knows she has good friends who won't let her go through this illness alone.
Ramsay Street
Izzy walks up to No 30 and places a present on the stairs, presumably for Elle. As she heads out of the drive she comes face to face with Karl and Susan arm in arm. Susan asks Izzy how her head is. Izzy says she's fine, she doesn't even have a headache. She tells them they look really happy and says she wasn't sure they'd survive with the mess she created. Izzy says she's glad they have and asks them if they'll take in Elle's present for her. As Karl and Susan head to the party Izzy stands alone watching them as the outsider of the street.
No 30
Max and Steph arrive and Steph heads straight for Lyn. She takes her to one side and tells her she saw she and Paul together this morning. She tells Lyn she hopes she knows what she's doing. Lyn coldly replies that she does. Steph tells her not to take that tone with her as she's not in a business meeting now. Lyn looks horrible and cold as Steph walks away.
Steph tells Paul she knows he and Lyn are together. She says she's not going to ask him what he's playing at as he'd just lie to her anyway. Steph tells him to treat her with respect otherwise she'll come after him. With what Steph? A water pistol? This is so embarrassing. Paul tells Steph that Lyn is turning his life around. Cam tells Paul his speech about Elle was very sensitive and asks if it was because of Carmella's advice. Paul says it was; she's turning his life around.
Poor Cam. He tells his sister who is faking an illness that their Dad, who is faking life, is starting to straighten himself out. Elle doesn't know what to say and tells Cam she needs to get some fresh air.
Ramsay Street
Sky follows Elle outside and asks if she's ok. Elle says she doesn't deserve everyone's kindness. She tells Sky Dylan should be with her as she's not right for him. Sky tells her she deserves all the love she gets
In the background Paul is on the phone to Carmella. He's checking that she hasn't got cold feet on their deal.
PAUL: You are going to be wearing your habit on the night aren't you?
Still on the phone to Carmella talking about their meeting he takes Lyns hand. To empathise the fact this is supposed to be an evil moment the soundtrack provides us with an evil cackle.
No 32
Izzy is sitting alone, in the dark. Steph comes in and tells Izzy she was right about Lyn and Paul. They seem to clearing the air and Izzy tells Steph to keep an eye on Katya. She says she likes her but knows she has a crush on Max. Steph doesn't really want to hear it and tells Izzy that if there was something for to worry about Max would have told her straight away.
No 30
Stingray is sneakily pouring himself a glass of alcohol. Susan almost springs him but he makes out he was just tucking into the pizza.
Cameron hands Elle her pill pot and says she hasn't taken her medication today. He's being strict and tells her she has to take her pills. She says she doesn't want to take it in front of everyone but Sky tells her not to be embarrassed. Elle takes the pill and washes it down with orange juice.
