Recap
- Susan telling Rachel and Zeke off for staying up all night, and Rachel pleading for her to not tell Katya.
- Janelle reading out that her and Kim aren't the parents of Bree.
- I can't remember who... random woman telling Janelle and Kim there might have been a mix up at the hospital.
Number 26
Janelle's on the phone in the lounge room when Kim walks into the kitchen (slapping Janelle's bum on the way) asking a reading Stingray who she's on the phone to (it's her publicist, they want to do promotional work). Kim spies that Stingray is drinking beer again even though he hates the stuff. Stingers says he's taste testing, offering one to his dad. He declines because it's too early. Stingray tells him he doesn't think so because he's been in the edit suite since 5am, getting up to give his dad some more DVD orders. Stingray isn't happy so Kim says that he should tell the customers to try and get their orders in another way. Nah Stingray wants Kim to give his mum the fantasy wedding though, and see how long he can keep telling her the money is coming from the hotdogs.
Bree wanders in and is immediately jumped on by Kim, asking what's wrong. She tells him that Zeke's being weird, that when she asked him to walk her home but he came up with a stupid excuse why he can't. Kim thinks she sounds like she needs a pick me up, so literally picks her up. Also he gives her a blue iPod which makes her very happy, waving it in Stingray's face as she leaves. Stingray is a bit suss on why Kim and Janelle are giving Bree the special treatment. Smart as always, Kim says that when he writes a book he'll give Stingers an MP3 player.
Whoa we now go to where Janelle is screaming in the doorway, bringing all the family around her.
JANELLE: Rove!
KIM: Rove where?
JANELLE: Rove Mc bloody Manus. I'm going to go on his show to promote the book. He's going to be interviewing me. Me!
Everyone jumps around all excited. Oh but Kim seems a bit perplexed.

Zeke's scribbling on the locker wall with a black texter. Tsk, tsk. He says to some random boys that everyone's got to do it. Ah oh he's been busted by Ms Smith. Susan says it's very creative, asking if he knows who did it. He doesn't. Suze has a look at his hand that has black texta on it. He explains that he got that in art. Susan's amazed that in art he only got black texta on his hand. Bus-ted! She asks for the truth so he tells her; everyone does it. Suzie wants and explanation as to why he did it but he doesn't have one. Susan tells him to wait inside the classroom while she goes and rings Katya.
Number 24
Janelle's gone to see Harold just to boast about her spot on Rove methinks. Accept he doesn't get it at first until she explains it's Rove Live. Janelle wants to see Lou because she knows he would be a Rove fans but he's gone to take Mishca to Phillip Island see the penguins (near my house!). Harold admits that since he retired he's caught Rove's show and is a bit of a fan. Funny because Rove makes Harold jokes! Harold loves Rove's timing. He thinks of one...
HAROLD: It's big. It's a pineapple. It's a big pineapple!
Janelle doesn't find that funny, asking if it' something Rove did. Apparently it was... Janelle drags Harold over to the kitchen, arranging some chairs so that she can practice the interview. She wants Harold to ask some Rove type questions. He doesn't know any but Janelle encourages him.
HAROLD: Erm... Thank you Peter, I think that is the most salsa I have ever seen.
What is it with the food? Janelle tells him that's awful so he starts a normal enterance. Janelle slouches over to the chair next to Harold and sits down, saying it's good to be there. Hmm.

Rachel giving Zeke a lecture about how they weren't going to misbehave to try and keep the peace between Susan and Katya. Zeke knows all this but won't tell Rachel why he did it.
We now cut to Katya and Susan talking in the classroom about how over the last few weeks the kids have not been acting like they used to. Katya takes this as a dig at her parenting, Susan saying it's a fair point. Katya thought that things were improving and that the bad moments weren't all that bad. Zeke will be wary of alcohol... Susan says that doesn't alter the fact that he got drunk. And she knows Stingray left the bottle there but because he was unsupervised and drank it comes back to Katya. Plus now there's this new incident. Susan knows she's doing her best, Katya interrupting to say she's doing her best. But she isn't happy with what's going on.
SUSAN: I genuinely admire what you are trying to do, and the effort you are putting into making it work. But I think you're going to have to face the possibility that it's just too much for you. I think you should reconsider what is the best custody option for the kids.
Ooo! After the break we now cut to Susan letting the kids in to talk to Katya in private. Katya immediately asks Zeke what his excuse is - he won't tell her. She can't believe he thinks she will accept that, plus she's trying to be a good guardian doesn't he want her to be a good guardian for them? He does but he won't budge because it's private. Katya respects that but he will have to respect that she has to take some action. Besides Susan's detention he's on bathroom and kitchen duties for the next fortnight. Plus he must apologise to Susan. Katya tells them that she can't do this alone, she needs their help. Rachel assures her they will, Zeke adding his lame "team Kinski". They go to leave, Rachel asking how the date with 'Cam' went. Katya replies that it was nice. Zeke and Rachel see that she's smiling, no grinning, and think it was more than 'nice'. Nope, it was nice.
Number 24
Harold's asking Janelle about any other writers styles she may have incorporated into her book. She doesn't get it so Harold explains what he means by that, if she had any influences like Harold Robins for example. Janelle replies that the only Harold she knows lives next door and plays the tuba something cruel and lives with his mate Lou. Hmm.
HAROLD: Ah thank you Janelle that was fascinating. And the noise you just heard was thousands of TV sets being turned off all around the country.
JANELLE: Oh you're right I'm as boring as bat poop!
Harold tells her no, that Rove is an excitable light hearted young hearted young fella and that he want to know how she writes. He suggests that maybe she should have some antidotes tucked up her sleeve but writing. There's a knock at the door as Janelle says that all you do is sit at the computer and tap away. Harold answers the door, saying that maybe she should talk about how hard it is to write.
Oh it's Susan at the door returning a book to Harold. Janelle announces her good news to Susan who isn't that thrilled. Janelle goes on to say that Harold thinks that she will make a goose of herself. He's right, she needs some winners up her sleeve so Rove doesn't think his biggest fan has had a comedy bypass. Harold asks if he can go to the show, Janelle replying he has buckley's chance. She'll cop them.. yeah she's leaving.
Harold offers for Susan to have dinner with him but she doesn't want to intrude. Harold says it's nothing, Lou and Mishca won't be around. She accepts, not looking to happy. Hmm.
Number 26
Janelle's pulling a name out of a hat to see who can go to the show with her. It's Scott's but she picks Bree anyway. How rude. Bree's all excited, Stingray wants a recount though. Nope won't happen.
Rachel, Katya and Zeke let themselves in. Bree tells Rachel the good news about her going to Rove and Rach is uber excited for her. Stingray pulls Zeke and Katya aside to apologise again for leaving the bottle of alcohol at their place. Katya says that it's okay, she knows it was an accident and that she's impressed that he tracked her down at work to apologise. Katya goes to leave, wishing Janelle good luck and saying she will be watching.
Bree walks over to the sofa bumbling about how people are going to see her and doesn't know what to wear. Rachel watches Stingray go into the kitchen, commenting that Bree won't exactly be on the TV. Bree still doesn't want to look bad in front of cool TV people. Janelle and Kim watch on in happiness, Kim adding that he doesn't think that she should call them that. Bree doesn't want to look like a freak though. Zeke tells her she isn't a freak and anyone that says she is a loser. She always looks fantastic and she shouldn't let anyone tell her otherwise. Hmm too much sucking up there. Bree can see that, asking if he's weirdness dial is turned up more than usual. He tells her it's not, turning to Janelle and Kim asking what they are wearing. Rachel leaves as Janelle explains the successful writer look she is going for.
Stingray's drinking again when Rachel walks in wanting to go for a walk with him, it's important. He leaves his alcohol on the counter which the camera pans into so it must mean something. Hmm.
Number 24
Susan and Harold are talking about Lou and Mishca are happy. Harold says he might go and give them some space. Susan thinks that's a good idea, taking her dinner over to the dining room table. Harold joins her as she asks him if he will take a trip down the relationship road again, mentioning that he and Svetlanka made a good couple *shudders*. He agrees that they were but ever since the plane crash they haven't spoken. She took it very badly and apparently never leaves the house. Susan thinks at least he'll know where to find her, suggesting he go over there to see her if he's thinking about taking a trip. He can see how they have been avoiding each other because of their grief but in fact they should be helping each other, so yes. Urgh not that ship again. Harold now asks about Susan's dramas. She says that she's good, fine. Work's kept her busy and Rachel and Zeke are more of a handful than Katya thought. Harold says it's stressful at times but at least they lead a full life. Susan's upset by that.
SUSAN: I don't have a full life Harold. It's as empty as it could possibly be.
*resists urge to make a Stusan related comment here*

Rachel can't believe that Stingray has been spending whole nights in the editing suite. Stingray says that what film making is - hard work. Rachel says that's why he's been drinking a lot, because of the pressure. Every time she sees him he smells like beer. Quite defensively Stingray shoots back that he does work at a bar. Rachel thought he had problems and maybe he wanted to talk about them. Stingray tells her he only has drinks with his mates, that's not a problem. Rachel keeps at him; now saying that the other night he wasn't with friends but he still had alcohol. He explains that he is taste testing, asking when she all of a sudden became her mother. Rachel changes her tact, asking if his mates are uni guys (some of them are) and wanting to meet them. Stingray doesn't get why because they're adults and have a drink now and then, which she would have a problem with because she's just a kid. Ouch! And if that's all, he's got work to go. And who knows he might have a beer. He leaves her to be shocked on her own.
Number 26
Susan and Harold are now having coffee on the sofa. Susan thinks she handled it well with the Karl business, Izzy's fits and Alex's death... she thought she got through Alex's death by being strong for the kids but she's realised that it was them helping her. And now they've gone. When she's alone in the house she can't stop thinking about Alex's death and she hasn't got over it at all. Harold suggests that she go see a grief councillor. She thanks him, she hadn't thought about going to one before. Harold wishes he could've done more but she thinks he has done enough. And she has so much to be grateful for, like just having Alex's kids in her life.

Katya's surprised Rachel - she thought Rach was at basketball. She can see Rachel isn't alright, asking what is wrong. Rachel explains about Stingray calling her a kid and not wanting her to meet his mates. Katya says that's not how you treat mates... but that's not what Rachel is interested in is it. Rachel admits it isn't. Katya reminds her he's 18 and she does agree that she's a bit too young. Rachel says that after Alex died he's the only person that got who she is and now he's making it out as though he was babysitting. Katya adds her two cents worth it, that maybe Stingers doesn't see the friendship the way Rachel does. At the moment the age difference it's a big gap, and soon enough she will cross the line between being a kid and an adult. Katya wants Rachel to value her childhood because she doesn't want Rach to make the mistake she made.
Number 26
Janelle's in a orange number getting her keys and purse ready to go to Rove Live. Bree suggests she go over the antidotes again but Janelle thinks she will be right with all they got up to in Colac. Yeah but Rove won't be interested in that. Janelle tells her that TV is about personality not writing so Rove'll want shocking scandals. She goes to sit with Kim in the lounge room while Stingray tells Bree he wants details on everything on that studio.
In the lounge Kim's talking to Janelle (she's snuggled into his shoulder aww) that he feels like he's betraying Bree when he thinks about this other girl. Stingray and Bree come in telling the parents to get a room. No actually for Janelle to get going. Stingray drags her to the door, Bree asking if her flower in her hair is too big. No one thinks it is. Janelle asks for luck so Kim gives some to her, pushing her out the door.
Dressing Room
Janelle's getting her makeup done. She's as nervous as hell. Bree doesn't think she should be because she knows her subject. Well Bree does. Janelle really doesn't want to make a Galah of herself in front of Rove. Luckily Bree has written out some ideas for stories she can tell. Janelle thinks it should actually be Bree going out there to get the credit she deserves but Bree needs Janelle to sell it for her. She reminds her she has five minutes which makes Janelle freak out, asking Bree to be somewhere she can see. Bree goes to be in the audience while Janelle tries to compose herself.
Erinsborough High
Stingray's apologising to Rachel for being a button muncher. He's the one acting like a four year old and she was just asking how he was. It's just that she knows him to well and it makes him look at himself and think "hey I take cake big time!" and that isn't a bad thing. Rachel asks if he does take what she says seriously. He does - personal insight wise she rocks! He realises the time, it's almost Rove time! Rachel says that Susan organised so that they can watch it at the school but Stingray should get home because Kim's on his own.
Number 26
Stingray runs in and sits next to Kim as Rove on the TV screen announces his next guest.
ROVE: I tell you what this has got my heart racing. It's smut, smut I tells ya and I couldn't put it down. It is the The Bogan's Tipped Hair and we're about to chat to the author who can hopefully tell me what suburb this filth is set in coz I want to move there right now. Will you please welcome Janelle Timmins.
Stingray and Kim applaud like crazy.
Rove Live (with a bit of Erins High and Number 26 thrown in)
Janelle comes running down the stairs and over to Rove at the couch, giving him a big hug and sitting down. Rove starts off by saying it's a racy little read, Janelle replying that she lived in Colac. He's a bit stumped, saying that's great and tourism is going to shoot through the roof now. Rove then moves on to ask about any influences she's had. Janelle asks if he means like Harold Robins. Rove has no idea who that is. We have a quick glance at the classroom where everyone is watching while Janelle says that the only Harold she knows blows the tuba something cruel before looking at her notes. Rove asks if maybe her writing is her own style. Stingray tells the TV that he's trying to give her a compliment, Kim saying he doesn't think she wants it. Janelle finally replies that it's pretty much her style.
ROVE: Well that's great because I loved it. Dare I say it but I think you are something special. You have bucket loads of bogan talent. Buckets! So where did you get the idea for the story? Was it you've got err a cross dressing husband, you used to get the strap as a kid, you're a booze hound. What is it?
JANELLE: Um...
ROVE: Or is it you're just addicted to daytime soaps?
JANELLE: I didn't do it.
Rove tells her that's okay, he's a Bold and the Beautiful man himself. Susan's cringing and Kim and Stingray are looking... a bit blank. Janelle explains that she didn't write the book, she points to Bree and says she did. Everyone's shocked as Rove decides to bring Bree up to the stage. Zeke and Rachel are happy as Bree joins Janelle and Rove up on stage. Rove tells someone to call the publicist because they will need an ambulance. Bree's stunned as Rove asks if what Janelle says it's true, did she write the book? We won't find out tonight.
