Recap
Stuart suggests Toadie sort out his feelings for Dee.
Jack tells Michelle he's been cheating on Lori.
Rotunda
Michelle says she doesn't understand. Jack replies that it's not black and white and he does love Lori, but he couldn't stop. He and Nina were going to tell everyone but the accident happened. She broke up with Taj to be with Jack, and she wanted him to break with Lori too, not lie any more.........he expects Michelle to jump in and tell him he's no good.
School
Susan has been talking to Nina about extra work because she hasn't been reaching her usual high standards. She asks Nina to take some books to Lori.
Taj is being teased for being with the counsellor, when Susan and Nina overhear the other boys calling him a psycho, a fruit loop and suggesting he's less big-headed. Nina smiles weakly but he turns away.
Rotunda
Michelle tells Jack that what he's done is really wrong. He begs Michelle not to say anything to anyone so he can sort it out his own way.
Pub
Darcy comes in to find Toadie sitting very quietly looking at Sindi's name in his mobile's phone book. He's a bit cool and answers Darcy's query about it by saying he feels awkward now that Dee's staying with him as his loyalties are bound to be split. Darcy orders drinks for them both and says they'll sort it out like grown men. While they're talking Dee comes in, looks a bit cross and goes out again.
Coffee shop
Lyn's just ordered a big dessert for Lori's first night home. Susan comes and sits with her and mentions that school's going badly because of Candace Barkham. Dee comes in just as Lyn leaves and agrees to sit with Susan and have lunch and a chat.
Pub
Darcy's still talking to Toadie about Dee, saying she's become a bit of a fixture and he's dropped a few subtle hints but she's still staying. When he pretends to ask casually about 'what's-her-name', Toadie says Sindi's not really his 'bowl of cornflakes' and he's going to finish all that, so Darcy comments that this is good - he shouldn't get tied down, but be like Dee, who's out there hitting the singles scene with a vengeance, always out 'tarted up'.Scullys'
Lori's sorting tapes and finds one with Nina's name on. Jack's very cagey but Michelle tells her about Nina's singing. Lori puts the tape on and Nina hears it start just as she's about to knock on the door to leave Lori's books. She doesn't knock but has to go in as Lyn gets home just then and insists. Michelle is very cool with her but Lori's her usual chirpy and friendly self.
Coffee shop
Susan is still complaining about Candace Barkham, which Dee says is very entertaining. When Susan asks about Toadie, Dee says she's still angry but misses him a lot and isn't interested in anyone else or looking around.
Susan asks about Darcy, but Dee denies any involvement saying the leopard has changed his spots and they've become very good friends. That's the one bright spot, finding true support and real friendship where she least expected it.
Scullys'
The conversation between Nina, Lori, Jack, Michelle at the dinner table has obviously been very awkward and Nina hasn't eaten. Lyn tries to get Nina to sing and the atmosphere gets even more tense.
Nina catches sight of Michelle eavesdropping as Jack tackles her about why she's there. Michelle moves away quickly, but Lori looks troubled as she was clearly already upset at not being able to help with dishes etc.
School, morning
Susan asks Taj about the counsellor and tells him how helpful she found it on the past, although it seems weird at first.
The boys have put a 'psycho label on Taj's locker and make various 'straitjacket' type remarks. Nina tries to help him, but he snaps to just leave it and walks off.
Jack asks the still angry Michelle not to say anything. She comments that Nina had better stay out of her way and he points out he was equally to blame.
Scullys'
Lori apologises for sleeping in and wants Lyn to let her get her own breakfast. But she drops the milk and gets upset as Lyn rushes round making her breakfast for her. She cries as she asks what if she's going to be like this for ever, as she can't do anything for herself. Lyn pretends to be cross and asks where her friend Lori Lee is, the girl who always looks on the bright side. Lori just cries and cries, saying she's tried and tried but it's not working any more. Lyn hugs and comforts her, saying she just knows it's going to be all right.
Dee's looking at accommodation ads when Darcy comes in and asks if she's sick of him. She says she saw him at the pub with Toadie and realised she was upset and that she's put him in an impossible position as he has to choose loyalties. He replies that Toadie's the one who stuffed up, she's more his friend and he really wants her to stay as he has so much room, so she thanks him.
School
In class, Nina tries to talk to the very hostile Michelle, who eventually snaps at her, claiming a headache.
Scullys'
Dee's massaging Lori, who's chirpy again and shows Jack an exercise to do on her foot. As he does, Lori excitedly says she has sensation in her big toe.
School
Taj comes and finds one of the boys who teased him taking the 'psycho' label off his locker. He insists they leave it there and as they move away hears the boy call him 'psycho', saying they were just mucking around. He tells taj to lighten up and comments as he walks away that Taj really is 'acting psycho'. They start to fight (Taj is twice his height) until Susan comes on the scene. Nina tries to stick up for Taj, but he tells her to shut up and Susan sends them all to the office.
Coffee Shop
Toadie's on the phone to Sindi who's obviously rung to ask where he's been. He starts saying he's been meaning to have a chat with her, but when he sees Dee come in, he changes the conversation to say he's been so busy and he feels they must spend more time together as he's enjoyed himself so much and all he can think about is her. Dee grabs the phone and says Toadie will ring Sindi back later. He tells her it was an intensely personal private call, but she just replies that it's time, they need to sort some things out.
