Recap
Genevieve offering to pay for Matt to attend a cooking school in Switzerland.
Maggie offering Toadie help with his defence.
No. 32
Emily is on the hunt for her blanket (blankie) which has disappeared. Matt gives her a teddy to take her mind off it before telling his parents about Genevieve's offer. They are stunned about it and Matt tells the that he isn't interested in the offer but Evan urges him to think about it before dismissing it. Aleks and Leo spot an article in a magazine about Jack and who he plays for and Evan feel embarrassed because he said he was good enough to play for the local team! Emily reminds them that the blanket is still missing and wants the hunt to resume after rejecting a new blanket.
Lou's Place
Tess pops in for a bottle of wine and Toadie asks how sharing with Ronnie is going. Tess replies fine before asking how Dione is coping at No. 30. Toadie says that he hasn't seen too much of her as he's been busy planning his defence but isn't holding out much hope.
Lou gives Toadie a mobile phone cover as a peace offering but Toadie isn't exactly impressed but nice to see the old Lou back.
The Coffee Shop
Aleks and Leo catch Matt dodging the hunt for blankie and have a whinge at him over being made to hunt for it. They manage to extort some money out of him after teasing Matt over how much money his mum gives to him when he meets her but in return he promises them ‘what for' if they are found to be responsible for blankie going missing.
Lou's Place
Matt comes over to see how Toadie is going on with his defence and Matt suggests he talks to Maggie as she is a final year law student. Matt asks how Lou is going and Toadie replies that he is back to his old-self…but catches Lou swallowing some tables as he enters the office. Lou passes them off as being for a nagging headache before wondering why Matt is there. Matt says he's there to work but Lou replies that he isn't working until tomorrow afternoon.
No. 32
Emily is still whinging about blankie being missing as Aleks and Leo try to play a video game. Maggie and Evan aren't getting much peace to work, so Evan suggests they head to Toadie's. Everyone is surprised to see Matt walk in the door and Evan tells him to think about Genevieve's offer but settles instead to giving Emily a story.
No. 30
Maggie tells Toadie that he is brave representing himself in court but Toadie is confident if he can find the right angle to defend himself. Maggie isn't too sure with some of the ideas Toadie has, and asks to listen to the tape. Toadie is amused to hear Maggie describe the house as ‘a slice of heaven'.
No. 32
Matt is defending his decision not to accept his mum's offer to Evan, so he reminds his son not to let what happened in the past affect his relationship with her.
No. 30
Maggie and Toadie listen to the tape and when it is finished, they discuss common sense whether the students have any and if Toadie really made himself clear before ‘he told' the students to steal. Realising the time, Maggie leaves and on the way out she asks if Toadie has seen Emily's blankie. Toadie says no but after Maggie leaves, Bob enters with the blanket in his mouth.
No. 32
Evan and Matt unpack some more boxes looking for blankie as Maggie arrives home and tells them Toadie is going to need a miracle!
The Coffee Shop
Tess and Evan discuss getting the kids into sports over breakfast. Evan tells Tess about his blunder over Jack and wonders if he can get him to do a presentation to the kids if he is back for good.
School
Michelle's sudden new friend Elly is in a rush to get to class and Michelle teases her over her crush on Evan…just as Evan passes. Elly is rather starstruck, so Michelle speaks for the both of them when Evan talks to them.
No. 30
Toadie notices that Bob has Emily's blanket.
No. 32
Toadie returns blankie to an overjoyed Maggie. She invites him in to discuss his defence and Toadie mentions that he's going to swot up on who the magistrate is. Maggie hopes he doesn't get John McQueen as he hasn't cracked a smile since law school! Evan comes home to hear the good news about blankie as Toadie leaves to head to the pub.
Lou's Place
Toadie apologises for being late and tells Matt the good news about blankie being found. They talk about Maggie helping out with the case before Toadie notices something lying on the floor. Turns out it is Matt's wallet and Toadie ribs him for lying about his age (saying he was 23 instead of the 19 he is). Matt tells him that only Dione knows the truth and Toadie points out that he's out of luck if it wants to try it on with Dione because she only has eyes for Dr Darcy.
School
Evan sends the kids out as the bell rings and Tess pops in for a chat. He tells her about Emily's blanket being found and about the girls he's recruited for the football team although they both wonder exactly why they are signing up. Evan hopes that now blankie is found, he can concentrate on his favourite hobby - model planes. Oh so very convenient, Tess says her father was keen on them too and offers to discuss it later with him.
No. 32
Maggie gives the boys their afternoon snack as they set up the games console and tells them about blankie being found.
Lou's Place
Lou asks Matt and Toadie to keep an eye on the place as he wants to try and shift some more mobile phone covers. Matt asks how his headache is, fine Lou replies before leaving. Toadie quizzes Matt about the headache because Lou is famous for never getting headache's but Matt replies that is what he said he had and that he took a couple of pills for it too. Toadie's suspicions are immediately raised.
