Recap
- Allana tells Lance to go and never come back
- Alice warns Dee off Darcy
Number 32
Dee comes in raging about Alice - she feels so humiliated! If Alice knows about her liking Darcy then everyone must. Tess reminds her that she didn't do anything wrong- she hasn't acted on her feelings. But maybe she should stay away from Darcy - for a while.
Number 30
Lance has to pay a bill, but won't go now, because Allana might ring. Toadie thinks he should just cool it - they weren't exactly the Brad and Jen of Erinsborough! But Lance needs to talk to her, and leaves a message for her.
The Coffee Shop
Lou says that his 'breach of condition' notice hasn't had much effect - number 30 is still a tip. But he doesn't want to evict them. Madge thinks that they might be cleaning up as they speak, after the blast she gave them.
Erinsborough Hospital
Karl appears - Darcy thought he might be off playing golf, but he's visiting a patient who always gives him great tomato sauce. He asks if Alice got away ok and says they seem to be getting on quite well. Susan has her fingers crossed for them!
Darcy sees Dee and tells her that he hopes she didn't feel like a fifth wheel the night before. He was glad she and Alice met - in fact, he saw them bump into each other that morning and it looked serious. He asks if it's anything he can help her with...
Number 30
It's 'How Clean is your House' at number 30 - Toadie isn't having good results cleaning the carpet and won't fork out to have it done professionally. Lance is especially annoyed because he won't be able to hear the phone over the machine. Toadie asks if he really thinks Allana will call. What's with all the secrets and the mysterious past? Lance says there's nothing she can tell him that he can't handle and goes to pay the electricity bill.
Erinsborough Hospital
Dee is telling Darcy that Alice just wanted to know about the hospital and his work there. He asks if she wants to grab lunch but she might have to work all the way through.
The Coffee Shop
Lance walks into the coffee shop and has a freaky experience - running into Allana! He tells her he's been trying to call and mentions about the mega cleaning and Lou's inspection. Madge is glad to hear they've been cleaning up. Lance thinks it's fate he ran into Allana and asks to talk to her about them. They leave to talk.
Number 28
Libby thinks Susan's outfit will be great, but a bit pricey, and the bluebells she wants will be an arm and a leg too, giving Karl plenty of chance to practise his 'Scrooge' impression. Drew phones with good news - Ron's better and all the family can come up after all.
Number 30
Allana tells Lance that he's wasting his time. He thinks he deserves more than this and wants her to do a task - tell him why they can't be together. She shouts that it isn't that simple.
Number 32
Meanwhile it is that simple for Tess - she should just call Andre! Tess asks about Darcy and Dee says that she was so busy that chatting with Darcy wasn't high on her priorities. At the hospital, seeing him isn't a problem. She repeats that he was just a passing romantic fantasy - and Tess should call Andre! Tess picks up his card and dials his number.
Number 28
Susan and Libby are sorting through the arrangements and people haven't stuck to the R.S.V.P. date. Karl says that he liked Libby's column in the paper - about her wedding countdown. It was the editor's idea though. Karl was surprised about the mention about pressures to include outdated rituals - but Libby says she isn't being pressured by them. Karl thinks one outdated ritual is having a stripper on the hen's night - Libby is decidedly silent on this. Karl moves onto speeches and Libby thinks that they are so boring and outdated. Karl doesn't know how to take this.
Number 30
Lance finds the race supplement from the paper and circles a horse. Toadie comes in and almost catches him. He tries to dash off to pay the bill but Toadie asks if that's all and he tells him about Allana. Lance knows there's nothing he can do. Toadie sits down and finds the race supplement.
Number 30
Later and Toadie hands Lance the bill and asks if he's forgotten anything else - Klingon's girl?? Lance tells him not to worry - he isn't squandering the electricity money. It won't make Allana come back but he'll feel better. Toadie tells him he knows this isn't the way to go. He has to think about it.
Number 28
Susan is talking about great wedding speeches she's heard but Libby wants to be original and she's glad they're so cool about it. Once she's gone Karl remarks about all the time he spent on it. Susan wants to talk to her about it but Karl doesn't want to pressure her.
Number 30
Toadie praises Lance for not going out to bet. Lance reminds him that he would've quadrupled their money by now. Toadie thinks he should call his GA sponsor - he has a lot of support.
Number 32
Dee can't believe Tess asked Andre over. He arrives and Dee tries to make herself scarce, but Andre wants her to stay.
The Coffee Shop
Libby is talking to Madge about all the input she's had into the wedding and Madge says that's what happens - the whole community gets involved. It's something to celebrate - rituals keep society together. Libby asks for more ancient wisdom - she might have a job for Madge!
Number 32
Andre is from Columbia, where it's very hot. Tess knows a fair bit about it, having done Geography. Tess tells him that she and Dee are not good friends who like to 'share good times' together - they have separate social lives. He says that they're not here for English lessons then - his English isn't very good and he can learn to talk better with them both here. Tess would like to learn Spanish. Andre goes to get his books.
Number 30
"Just because you've got a gambling addiction doesn't mean you can't answer the door,'" Toadie tells Lance. It's Allana, here to talk. Toadie leaves them to it. Allana was scared that Lance wouldn't understand - most people don't - but she thinks he will. He asks her to tell him what's going on...But that's for another day - cue credits.
