It's the guitar lesson from hell and Paul is more than happy to go chat with Harold when he arrives home. Harold wants to know what is up with Tad - he thinks there's got to be more to how Tad's acting than just his parent's divorce and Paul agrees to talk to him.

Paul follows Tad out of the house and asks what his problem is and is told “being hassled!” He at least wants Tad to be civil to Harold but Tad is more interested in asking Flick if she wants to live dangerously and “hit the town.” Flick is somewhat surprised at his suggestion and Paul asks if he'll let Harold know where he is going to but is told not to stress! “You're on,” Flick says and thinks her parents won't notice she's gone, as they are still sorting things out from the fire, so arranges to meet Tad at the end of the street in 30 minutes.
