Nightclub
Lucy and Mark are both surprised to bump into each other in such a setting. She tells him that she's not married anymore, and her modelling career is down the tubes too. Mark says that she should contact her family, but Lucy is too embarrassed to. Anyway, go- go- dancing is quite well- paid and she can live out the back of the club for free. When she's got some money together, she'll contact the family.
MARK: But your family would want to see you no matter what the circumstances! We all would.
LUCY: You're a nice man, Mark.
MARK: I'm a changed man, Lucy. My views in life have changed a lot. A lot of things in Ramsay Street have changed too. That's why I really think you should consider coming back home.
LUCY: Can't say that that thought hadn't crossed my mind more than once in the past few weeks.
MARK: So do it!
Lucy is unsure.
MARK: OK, there's no rush. Maybe I could come around tomorrow and we can talk a little more.
LUCY: No harm in talking, I guess.
No 28
Susan tells Karl that he should be going to work as he's ill and will infect his patients.
Billy tells them he's entering Cassie into the "Cutest Pet" competition at the Easter Fayre. So he's going to "spruce her up" a bit first. Susan is going to enter the Bake Off category with her pineapple upside down cake.
Susan orders Karl back to bed and says she'll ring the surgery to explain.
No.22
Cheryl and Marlene are changing Lolly's nappy in the opening scene (how nice!) Lou gets off the phone and tells them that the State Government has decided to postpone the Freeway Development pending an Environmental Impact assessment. In other words, it's been shelved. Lou is very pleased indeed.
Cheryl is still moaning about her feet and also moans about Danni staying out late. She's also worried about Danni controlling her diabetes. Marlene thinks going into business with Ren has been bad for Danni - it's turned her into a "nasty, ruthless schemer".
No.26
Hannah is telling Phil that she's going to enter Holly into the "Cutest Pet" competition. She thinks Phil should enter the vegetable section.
Helen comes home and they greet her happily. She has some exciting news - Reuben is taking her on a First Class trip around the world! They congratulate her and Phil says that Reuben is the last of the true romantics!
Garden of No.28
Billy is trying unsuccessfully to teach Cassie some tricks. Toadie rolls his eyes at him and gets on with trying to blow smoke rings(!) He offers Billy a cigarette but he refuses. Toadie blows smoke over Billy and he starts having an asthma attack.
No.28 (Inside)
Billy stumbles in and Karl and Susan help him to keep calm while they get his nebuliser.
Nightclub
Mark and Lucy are talking again, and Lucy has decided to go and see her family. Mark is pleased and says they'll be over the moon to see her. Lucy isn't so sure as she hasn't kept in touch.
MARK: Helen hasn't said anything. And I'm sure she'll understand why you couldn't make it back for the funeral.
LUCY: Funeral?
MARK: Yeah. It's all the more reason why they'd like to see you. It was hard on everyone when Julie died.
Lucy reacts in shock.
LUCY: ...Julie's dead?
MARK:(shocked) You didn't know?
LUCY: No! I mean...how?...when?
MARK: I'm so sorry, Lucy.
No.28
Billy is feeling better after his nebuliser. Karl urges Billy to take his medication.
Susan smells Mal's jacket and it reeks of cigarettes. Karl is not happy.
KARL: Have you two got a death wish?!
Newsagent
Phil is happy about the romance status of the house - Helen and Reuben, and him and Jen. Lou congratulates him. They talk about Lou being Mayor. Lou says it's very involved and has a lot of invitations to social functions. Phil is interested to hear that Lou is going to be a judge at the Easter Fayre(!)
No.28
Karl confronts Mal about his suit jacket stinking of cigarette smoke. He says that the smell is dry cleaning fluid, but Karl doesn't believe him. He demands to know where Mal was last night.
Mal relents and say that he was out in the jacket, but he wasn't smoking himself. He explains he was at a fashion show/nightclub with Danni. Karl is sceptical so Mal tells Karl to ask Danni and Ren about it (then stomps off)
No.26
Helen is cooking chutney for the Easter Fayre competition and Hannah says it tastes really good.
Mark and Lucy arrive out of the blue. Hannah and Helen are surprised and delighted to see Lucy and there are hugs all round.
HELEN: Oh darling, how wonderful to see you!
LUCY: Hello, Gran!
HELEN:(excitedly) Oh, let me look at you! Where have you been?! I've tried to contact you but it was as if you'd disappeared off the face of the earth! Now, what's been going on?!
HANNAH: And tell us about these really cool modelling jobs you've been doing!
HELEN: Are you here for an assignment?
HANNAH: Tell us, have you met any supermodels?
HELEN: Is David with you?
Lucy starts to cry.
LUCY: No. He's...
HELEN: What is it?
LUCY: Everything!
HELEN: What's wrong?
LUCY: Everything's wrong! Gran, my whole life is a total mess and I don't know how to fix it!
Helen comforts her.
No.22
Cheryl is still moaning on about her feet and wonders if she should get a zimmer frame(!)
Marlene has made a cake - apparently she's entering it into the Easter Bake Off. Lou warns her not to butter up the judge!
No.26
LUCY: If I'd known about Julie, Gran, I would have been home in a flash.
HELEN: Yes, I know you would. As I said, I did try to contact you.
LUCY: I know. I'm so sorry. I just...guess I kept changing my addresses cos I didn't want anyone contacting me. I just felt like a huge failure.
HELEN: Stop thinking that way for a start. You took on a career that was extremely tough and competitive, darling, and you gave it your best shot. That takes guts. You should be very proud of what you achieved.
LUCY: Yeah, but what *did* I achieve?
HELEN: Well, I'm sure given time you'll be able to look back and find all sorts of things. But the important thing is that you're home and with people who love you.
LUCY: Gran, did I tell you how much I missed you?
HELEN: I missed you too, darling!
LUCY:(tearfully) Thanks, Gran.
No.28
Billy and Susan are back from seeing the asthma specialist. Billy's asthma is quite mild and he's been prescribed some inhalers. He says he's not going to use them and would rather use natural remedies(!) Karl says natural remedies are not always appropriate.
No.26
Phil greets Lucy and asks her when she's moving back in. Lucy isn't sure that she is, but they all tell her they want her there. Lucy is pleased. Helen offers to make her favourite lemon cheesecake and they are all happy.
No.28
Susan has confirmed that Mal was telling the truth about where he was with Danni. Karl is still going to punish him for lying initially though(!) He calls Mal in and tells him the score - but Billy will choose his punishment! Billy looks uncomfortable and says that Mal made a mistake so he should be let off with a warning. For some reason, Mal starts ranting about what a suck- up Billy is (what?) so Billy says his punishment will be to wear Karl's old safari suits! Mal is incandescent with rage, but Karl and Susan laugh and agree. Mal glowers at Billy.
No.22
Lou and Cheryl are washing up. While they do, Lolly gets hold of a tube of cream and has ingested some of it. Cheryl sees this and panics, telling Lou to call an ambulance.
