JJ asks Nell if something has happened between her and Dex because he's been sulking in his room. She admits that he asked her out and she said no.
He tells her awkwardly that if he asked her out and she said no, he'd be "cut".
JJ: Because I still really like you, Nell. Yeah. I guess I never stopped.
NELL: I still really like you too.
JJ smiles happily, but just then, Remi and Cara come in and break the spell. Nell heads off. Cara and Remi sense something in the air and smile knowingly at each other.

Toadie and Terese are silently chopping vegetables when Nell comes in. Toadie tells her that he's going to counselling again tomorrow morning, much to Terese's annoyance.
When Toadie is out of the room, Nell tells Terese that she and JJ have told each other that they still like each other. Terese is pleased for her. Nell says she's only telling Toadie if something actually happens. Terese thinks it's more like a "when" than an "if"!
No.28 (sun room)
JJ tells Dex that he's sorry things didn't work out with Nell. Dex rolls his eyes and says JJ is already wanting to make a move and he's not OK with it.
Lassiters, the following morning
Byron comes to see Leo and apologise about the website content.
BYRON: I went about it all wrong. What's worse if I behaved like my father which is something I swore I'd never do. It terrifies me, the idea of turning into him.
LEO: Yeah, well. I guess I can relate to that.
Leo goes on to say that he was impressed with some of Byron's ideas and will give him another chance if he behaves properly from now on. Byron is delighted.
Counsellor's Office
Rhonda wants to concentrate on Melanie and Terese today. Toadie explains that he begged Terese for another chance and he eventually relented. Rhonda doesn't think that he and Terese worked through things properly at all.
Ramsay Street
Nicolette goes over to Cara and thanks her talking to Kiri. Cara coldly tells her that it was all Remi. She thinks she's treating Aaron poorly although she doesn't know all the details, then tells her that she knows about the baby swap years ago. Cara, seriously, it's nothing to do with you.
As Nicolette walks back to the house, she find a letter in the mailbox from the lawyer she engaged.
Counsellor's Office
Toadie tells Rhonda that he'll always regret his dalliance with Melanie. She thinks he wrote off his bahaviour very easily. He doesn't think he has residual feeling for Melanie, but gets a bit agitated.
RHONDA: I'm interested in patterns of behaviour.
TOADIE: I don't think there's a pattern.
RHONDA: A similar thing happened with Andrea when you thought she was Dee.
TOADIE: That was different. I need to get back to work.
Rhonda offers him to pick up this afternoon, but he doesn't want to.
Toadie is clearly very rattled by this.
School

Nell suggests it might be good for Terese and Toadie to have some alone time.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Kiri tells Nicolette that she should have ripped the letter up (oh give over Kiri, it's none of your business!) Nicolette tells her tearfully that she was freaked out by what Cara said about her past.
KIRI: What did I say to you yesterday?
NICOLETTE: You said a lot of things.
KIRI: I said one more intense panic and our relationship is over.
Nicolette desperately rips up the letter.
NICOLETTE: Look, look! I haven't read it, I never will, see, no harm done!
KIRI: Only because I caught you. It's not even been twenty- four hours and you literally can't help yourself. We're through!
NICOLETTE: Kiri! I know I stuffed up, but you have to see this from my point of view.
KIRI: I've always tried to see the best in you, but you're not going to change.
Leo comes over to them.
LEO: Hey, what's going on?
KIRI: Um...I think moving forward, I just want to be a silent partner.
NICOLETTE: No, you don't have to do that, Kiri, come on, we can still work together!
KIRI: No, we can't!
NICOLETTE: We can!
KIRI: I'm trying to be professional, Nicolette, please respect my decision!
LEO: Hang on, you're not leaving Melbourne?
KIRI: I'll call you later to sort things out.

Cara gets a text and sighs.

Andrew wants to talk more about Wendy's feelings about growing up Asian. She says she had a great conversation with Quinn about cultural differences. He's sorry that he can't help her with that (not being Asian himself) but he can listen. She asks if it's OK that she keeps talking to Quinn.
ANDREW: I'm happy that you found a friend that understands.
Ramsay Street
Remi and Cara are giving Kiri a lift to the airport. She explains that she has to separate herself from Nicolette.
KIRI: I came here because I had unfinished business. And now...it's done.
Remi and Cara hug her as new friends. They hope, as a partner in the vineyard, that she might come back one day. Kiri looks around the street somewhat sadly and then they drive off.
As they drive off, Nicolette drives up. She gets out of her car, but she's missed them. She starts to cry.
Counsellor's Office
Toadie tells Rhonda that he doesn't want to do a joint counselling session with Terese. He's very agitated and says he can't do anything without upsetting anyone.
Just then, Terese knocks at the door! She's surprised to see Toadie there (she's just come to book an appointment for herself)
TOADIE: I told you, I'm not ready for this!
TERESE: No, I know.
TOADIE:(shouts) WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN TO ME! (Aggressively) What are you even doing here, Terese?
RHONDA: Toadie, please.
TOADIE: You, you're in on this too.
RHONDA: No.
TOADIE: No, no, I'm not ready. I'M NOT READY!
He storms out, brushing against Terese who cringes into Rhonda's arms.
They both look shocked.
