Ramsay Street
Aaron and Logan competitively run up the street to see who is first back to #24.

Number 24
Logan is the one most knackered when he and Aaron enter the house. Isla makes a beeline for Aaron but her shyness comes on when he introduces her to Logan.

They are barely in the house when visitors come calling - Andrew and Toadie looking for donations for the foundation. Aaron wants to give them stuff he's packed up of David's and promises to deliver it personally.

Number 32
To take Byron's mind off his dad, Sadie plans on holding a big night out to help him forget. However when she runs it past Haz, he points out that they can't afford a big night out anymore thanks to the rent hike. He does come up with an alternative plan so she can help Byron though - helping him talk to Vera about an issue with the hot water (some pipe has a huge crack in it).

Vineyard
Mackenzie is forcing Leo to have the chat with Kiri and literally as he is about to, Byron and Nicolette arrive! Not sure who is getting the bigger shock from their faces as Kiri explains why she is here - Leo needed help and she's decided to invest in the vineyard too.

NICOLETTE: She's investing in the vineyard too?!

This "too" bit is news to Kiri given she thought they "were out."

NICOLETTE: We are very much back in!

Byron backs his sister up and asks Leo why he didn't say anything?! Everyone turns to look at Leo but he's doing the stunned fish impersonation!

Foundation
As promised, Aaron delivers his donation of David's stuff. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Andrew asks and it's a "yeah" back from Aaron because "it's time."

Number 32 (garden)
Vera is very reluctant to do the repairs but is forced to concede that they will need doing… and that the #32 tenants will be paying! Sadie reminds her what the renters guide says (water is the landlords responsibility) and Vera now tries to blame Trevor for causing the damage until Haz points out he couldn't chew through a metal pipe! Vera now cites that things are becoming "stressful" however a bit of relaxation by the pool, with some TLC for her tootsies might help change her mind over paying for the repairs!

While Vera makes herself comfortable on one of the sunloungers, Haz and Sadie debate what to do - reminding themselves of what happened the last time they crossed swords with Vera… a rent hike! Eventually Haz caves and asks Sadie for advice on how to give someone a pedicure.

Foundation
Logan and Aaron put on a mini fashion show with the donated items although Isla seems more interested in the donated jewellery than in clothes! Isla wants to get one of the jewellery items for Jane but Aaron is cashless and very reluctantly accepts Logan's offer to buy it in case someone else does by the time he returns with cash.

Vineyard
With tempers having cooled thanks to a walk, Nicolette and Byron are ready to talk with Leo about their Plan B when Kiri interrupts. She's just about to leave for Ramsay Street (Mackenzie driving her) and with Byron's approval (given), will be staying at #32 overnight just in case she's heading back to Maggie Island tomorrow! Leo doesn't want her to leave, explaining that he's just hearing about Plan B himself now, so asks if they can talk later? "Sure," Kiri begrudgingly says before walking off.

BYRON: If you want to talk about it with her, does that mean you don't want to talk about it with us?
LEO: …

Number 32 (garden)
Vera is very impressed at the pedicure job Haz has done including painting her toenails while in the background, Mackenzie describes the move Vera has done (to Sadie) as "outrageous." Sadie then has to hold Mackenzie back from confronting Vera explaining to her Haz's fear but Mackenzie doesn't "want to live in fear anymore" and with determination, walks into the pool area and orders Haz to stop the pedicure!

Mackenzie reminds Vera that as their landlord, she has to replace the system but Vera now wants them to prove it was down to wear and tear to delay her having to fork out.

MACKENZIE: Fine, I'll give you a choice… Either organise a new system for us now or I will get the most expensive plumber to install the most expensive hot water system you can buy. And then, I will put in a call to my friend at VCAT and the tribunal will decide who gets to pay for it. What do you say Vera? Willing to take the risk?

Vineyard (outside)
Nicolette and Byron explain their plan B to Leo - they've combined the money Vic left ($40k) to get a business loan with Jane standing as guarantor for it. They acknowledge its not as much as it was going to be but they "want to be part of Yorokobi just without Vic," Byron explains.

It turns out what they are offering is around the same as Kiri is willing to invest so Nicolette points out that with their offer, Leo would get the pair of them thus "double the people, double the strength."

Leo doesn't really want to choose between investors, instead looking to have both sides invest as a four- way partnership since "the bigger the investment, the better chances of survival" plus it would still be the legacy for Isla and Abby. Nicolette is willing to work with Kiri as she's no issuers her side, it is Kiri who hates Nicolette!

When Leo confirms "if Kiri's in, you're in?" Nicolette now seems somewhat hesitant as her response is "I would be open to it." Byron is the one to reaffirm that they "want this" and "we'll do whatever it takes to make that right" and this time it's a full commitment promise from Nicolette. With the change in attitude from Nicolette, Leo plans to talk with Kiri and see what she thinks about this new deal.

Number 32
Kiri watches on as Haz desperately tries to sanitise his hands after touching Vera's feet, determined that "from now on, coffee is my only service!"

Haz and Kiri are warming to each other when Mackenzie enters the kitchen to tell Kiri that her room is ready (she's bunking in with Haz). While Kiri is grateful that Mackenzie is giving up her bed, she isn't too sure about staying given things might be awkward what with Byron also putting in an offer to buy into the vineyard. Mackenzie wonders if the real reason is actually being in close proximity to Nicolette and doesn't think she should allow Kiri to have her life "dictated to" again by Nicolette. Mackenzie was correct and as a compromise, Kiri promises to stay until she's had the chance to talk to Leo.

The Waterhole
Toadie shouts Andrew a beer as a thanks for helping at the foundation earlier and helping raise a fair amount of money! Andrew comments to barman Aaron on how well he and Logan were "getting on really well" although Aaron is quick to reply that there is "nothing going on" between them! As Andrew backtracks on what he said, Aaron is also adding in that its too soon for anything to happen either and "it's just not something that I would do." To almost back up Andrew, Toadie interjects to remark that they just saw how well Aaron was getting on with Logan and reassures him "that's cool" as "it's good to have friends."

Aaron now decides he wasn't ready to give David's clothes away, and it isn't anything to do with what Andrew said as he initially wondered. Toadie quickly reassures Aaron that its fine for him to get David's stuff back and he will have it ready for Aaron to collect when he finishes his shift.

Number 22
Given the messy background between Kiri and Nicolette, and the fact it still didn't appear to be over, Leo seeks out advice from Terese over what he should do. She turns it around to ask if he "can survive without their investment?"

TERESE: Look, if Kiri goes for it, it will be difficult but as long as you go in with your eyes open, it could be the solution that you need.

Number 32 (garden)
Vera has coughed up and got the hot water system repaired and the residents [minus Krista] sincerely thank her. As it obviously cost a few $$$'s to get sorted, and it has wiped her out financially, Vera warns them that from now on they are on their own as far as repairs go. Mackenize interrupts Byron when he's about to reminding Vera that she can't do that, to suggest they could have "a different arrangement" which is Vera can use the pool once a fortnight (but bringing her own towels!) and can having dinner with them once a month. As Vera and Mackenzie shake hands to seal the deal, in the background, the others can't believe what Mackenzie has done!

VERA: I'll bring dessert!

With Vera now away, they want to know why Mackenzie offered her the deal! Turns out that Mackenzie has drawn inspiration from how things went at Eirini Rising between the school kids/residents and wants to implement that with Vera, as she feels "Vera might be a little lonely."

BYRON: What, so now you want us to be friends with her?!
MACKENZIE: If we give her an inch, maybe she won't take a mile?

Number 32
Offscreen, Leo has brought Kiri up to speed on the situation and finishes by adding that he needs "all three" of them. She questions if Nicolette is someone he wants to be in business with and it's a yes from him and feels that if "we keep her in check" she could be an asset plus with the Stone's investment, there is less risk for the pair of them. "Less reward," she reminds him of too!

LEO: Four people managing the place. We can be bigger and better. Look, I don't want to force you into something you might regret okay, so I've come up with a solution.

And that solution is having a "trial period" to "see if we all gel as a team" and if it isn't working out, Kiri can "walk away" with "no strings." Weighing up his suggestion, she agrees "for you" to "give it a shot." Leo is more than delighted at her decision as he didn't really want to do it without her.

Number 22
Aaron calls round to collect David's stuff but Toadie is the bearer of bad news - someone has already bought them and as the foundation is cash only, they can't even trace who bought the stuff. "That's fine," Aaron says and goes to head out but before he does, Toadie stops him to talk about what happened in the pub when they were talking about Logan. "Like I said already, there's nothing going on there," Aaron reminds him with and while Toadie gets that, he also points out that "however you do feel about Logan" that is "fine" and that Aaron doesn't "have to feel guilty about enjoying someone else's company" regardless "of wherever it goes."

TOADIE: You do deserve to feel good and happy. And if you do, that is not betraying David.

Number 32
Kiri is about to say goodnight to Haz and Mackenzie (busy day at the vineyard tomorrow) when Nicolette calls by. Haz lets her into the house before taking himself (and Mackenzie) elsewhere to allow them to talk.

Given their past, Nicolette is round to check that if they "are serious about the business" then they are going to "have to give each other the benefit of the doubt." Kiri agrees with that but "we also need to be able to work together without one of us being a complete loose cannon!"

KIRI: Can you do that?
NICOLETTE: Not a problem!
KIRI: Perfect.
NICOLETTE: Fine.
KIRI: Great.
NICOLETTE: See you at work tomorrow!

Number 22 (next day)
Aaron drops by to thank Toadie for what he said last night.

AARON: I needed to hear that. Because the truth is, I am getting along with Logan and it feels bad doing that to David. That's the only reason that I wanted those clothes back.

Toadie gets what Aaron said and asks how he's feeling now? Aaron acknowledges that its "tough letting go" but knows "it has to be done."

Room somewhere
And we now know who bought all of David's stuff, including the personalised suitcase - Logan!

Number 22/Room somewhere
As Logan starts to touch David's belongings, we hear Aaron tell Toadie that he wants to "be out in the world building new relationships," be they romantic or otherwise. "Have you felt that way about Logan?" Toadie asks but Aaron is not sure.

Logan starts to get teary holding one of David's shirts, as we hear Toadie tell Aaron he wasn't trying to put any pressure on him, but if the time is right. Aaron admits that Logan is "a good friend" and that "he's fun."

Back with Logan and he removes his t- shirt as Aaron tells Toadie that he is "great with Isla" adding too that "while it might seem strange, he feels safe."

Perhaps if Aaron could see what the audience is seeing (Logan is now putting on David's shirt) he might not have just said what he did!

Aaron continues by telling Toadie that Logan "actually gets what I'm going to through" and back with Logan, he is just about ready to burst into tears!
