There is an update to the titles this week - David has been removed from the picnic scene.

Penthouse suite
Wordlessly, Paul warmly hugs Leo when he returns home.

Number 24
Nicolette is ignoring her grief by being all domesticated (doing the washing, making breakfast) ignoring her mum and brother saying they will do that, however Aaron stops her though from washing David's things she had in the basket.

Ramsay Street
In true Ramsay Street tradition, some the neighbours make a beeline for #24 with food for their grieving neighbours. Wendy laments about how wrong it is someone so young dying while Haz and Mackenzie pluck up the courage to be the first to go in.

Terese changes her mind over where her casserole should go - she wants to give it to Paul as she can't see any of the RSRs heading his way. Toadie gives his blessing to her idea but she turns down his offer to accompany her there.

Penthouse suite
Terese delivers the casserole and offers to help Paul if he needs anything done - he is extremely down but feels he doesn't "deserve" Terese's help.

TERESE: You've lost a child. There's nothing more devastating and I won't let you go through it alone. So I'm here. I'm not going anywhere.

Lassiters hotel, Krista's room
Leo is telling Krista how David "was everything to me and I was everything to him" before going on to tell her how David was so nervous when he came out (Leo was the first person he told). She can sense that David knew he could trust his brother.

LEO: He was a part of me Krista. I don't know how I'm gonna go on without him.

Leo is also feeling guilty too because it was David who "died protecting me" where he felt it was his job to protect David. She disagrees with his rationale at failing David because "none of this is your fault."

Number 24
"When is daddy coming home?" the innocent Isla asks when Nicolette comes over to play with her and its Uncle Byron who distracts the bairn so the adults can avoid answering her question.

After Byron and Isla leave the living room, Nicolette admits to Aaron that she "didn't know what to say" and Aaron doesn't know either how they tell Isla that David is "never coming home?"

Wendy interrupts to reassure Aaron and Nicolette that Andrew is going to "make sure that justice is done" so that when they tell Isla, they can add in that "her daddy died a hero." Aaron doesn't think so, as David "chose to leave us."

AARON: There is nothing heroic about that.

Hospital
Eden wakes up and with blurred vision, spots that Krista is there but when he goes to reach her, he quickly recoils as he is in pain. She seems glad he is in pain and demands the answers to how did he know where she was and how did he know she was pregnant too? Eden ignores those questions and almost taunts her about them sharing "a special bond" with him being her "baby daddy."

EDEN: No 'how are you feeling Eden? I'm glad you're alive, Eden.'
KRISTA: You're only alive because of David.
EDEN: He tried to kill me. He's the one who tackled us off the cliff. He should be in trouble.

It then dawns on her that he doesn't know David is dead.

KRISTA: David's dead because of you! You're a murderer!
EDEN: He attacked me.
KRISTA: I guess a jury will decide if it's murder or manslaughter. Either way you're going back to jail!

Number 32 (back yard)
Holly has joined the #32 housemates to lament whether Isla will remember her dad when she is older. Holly hopes that the countless videos and photos will help remind her, a plus for living our modern lives through our phones Haz points out.

As the rest have been talking, Mackenzie has kept very quiet and decides to head off on a walk, rejecting Haz's offer of going with her. "I don't know how to help her," he tells the rest when she leaves.

Hospital
Andrew suggests to Eden that given the seriousness of the charges he is facing, it would be best to cooperate with the police. This begins by knowing where Krista was - and we hear he followed her apparently because he "was worried."

EDEN: I knew the risk, but I'm glad I did.

We discover Eden found out she was pregnant and he was the daddy after hearing the others chat… and that if it weren't for the fact he overheard them, he'd never have known she was pregnant with his child. Andrew doesn't really care about that, he's more interested in finding out when Eden attacked them. "Leo attacked me," he replies, adding that he only "went there to talk and I defended myself."

EDEN: I'm lucky to be alive.

Lassiters rotunda
Mackenzie silently sits herself next to Aaron and he admits not knowing "how I'm going to do this."

AARON: We were just getting started. We were building a life and then…

Aaron then tells her about David refusing to be taken first as "he knew he was going to die" but wanted Aaron to go to "let me thing that it was okay to go."

AARON: What am I supposed to do with that? What do I tell Isla? That her daddy chose Eden over staying with her? I could… I could have… I could have been there with him when he died. I could have held him. I could have told him that I loved him and he took that away from me. And I'm supposed to just… I don't know just accept it? I can't… I can't accept that. He left us. I know what happened with Gareth, the way he died was huge for him, but like who cares?! Just deal with it. Just feel guilty. You're better off doing that than just being guilt- free and dead. I'm sure you wanna tell me that I'm just… I shouldn't be angry and David's some kind of hero and I'm just being selfish.

Silently Mackenzie shakes her head to his suggestion before eventually speaking.

MACKENZIE: This is grief. And its gonna come out in whatever way it needs to because grief isn't logical. It's… chaos. David love you so much. Just hold onto that, 'cause you're not gonna get answers about everything else.
AARON: David was my life. I don't know if I can do this without him.

Penthouse suite
Terese tries to temp the very depressed Paul with something else since he hasn't touched the meal she prepared for him, but he's not after anything.

Just then, Leo and Krista arrive at the penthouse and she is angry at the police not informing her Eden had been released, had they known that "we wouldn't have gone away and David would still be alive."

While she heads to the balcony to contact her lawyer, Terese pulls Leo aside to suggest that its not a good idea for [angry] Krista to be there just now "for where Paul's at." Leo too is worried about his dad withdrawing.

TERESE: At least when he's on the warpath, we know what we're dealing with but I'm really worried about him.

Number 24
Melanie and Karl arrive with sympathy and flowers and they also pass on Susan's sympathy too and that she will call later. While there is nothing Nicolette needs, she admits her concern about Aaron and the fact he's been "gone for a while." Toadie volunteers to go and look for him although he feels that Aaron "probably just wants some space."

Toadie then gets a text message and from the look on his face he isn't amused! Melanie picks up on it (Karl is distracted with the offer of tea from Nicolette and Jane) and asks if everything is okay and despite saying everything is fine, the face stills says otherwise! We then see his phone and what has upset him - it's a message from Terese saying that 'Paul's in a bad way. I don't want to leave him alone.'

Number 32 (back yard)
Haz is in a bit of a quandary when he spots Mackenzie sitting by the pool - he doesn't know whether she wants his company or not. After her bit of alone time, she is happy for him to join her but Haz isn't so sure it's lip service from her - he wants to support her but equally needs instructions too on how he can help her.

MACKENZIE: Just hold me.

"I can do that," he replies seconds before moving to go do that.

The Waterhole
Wendy is having an attack of the guilts over what she said to Aaron, but Andrew reassures her that Aaron isn't mad at her so she doesn't need to worry.

After spotting Andrew when she enters the bar, Krista has a go at him for not informing her about Eden being released. Apparently Andrew did contact her immediately after telling Paul in person, but she didn't answer however the call log proves that he did call. Krista does semi- apologise and hears what Eden said in his statement - he went to the holiday house out of concern for her "and the baby." Given that last part, Krista is surprised as Eden didn't know she was pregnant, so Andrew explains Eden knew after overhearing Leo and herself talking at the bush. Again, she says that is wrong as the only time they talked about the baby was inside the house. Given the confusion, Andrew wants her and Leo to make statements, something she is more than happy to do.

Ramsay Street
Melanie talks to Karl and Toadie about the hurt Eden has caused. Karl points out that she's suffered at his hands too and Toadie volunteers his ears if she needs to talk.

Just then, Terese arrives in the street looking for Paul - he disappeared after she turned her back for a minute and is hoping he's at #24. They say he isn't there and Toadie presumes he's simply gone for a walk but Terese is working herself up into a state because Paul's car is gone and his phone is switched off.

TERESE: I'm really worried about what he might do.

Thinking rationally, Toadie asks if she's contacted Leo (yes) and then tries to explain that given Paul's just lost a son, its naturally he will "be beside himself with grief" and so "just needs space." Toadie then also adds that Terese needs to look after herself too because its affecting her, but she is quick to reply it isn't and she is fine.

TOADIE: David was your stepson and you're not just grieving him. There's Josh. This has gotta be bring up a lot of stuff for you too.

Holding back the tears, Terese agrees with what her husband has just said, however she is really worried about Paul. Toadie thinks she has done enough as "Paul's a grown man" plus she's called Leo. This seems to get through to Terese and the pair hug one another.

Hospital
We now know where Paul is - in with Eden who is pleading what happened in the bush was "an accident." He pleads that he "didn't even know David was there" before going on to explain that David "threw himself at me, and we both went over."

EDEN: If he hadn't have done that, we'd both be alive.

Paul doesn't respond back, so Eden pleads with Paul to help him…

EDEN: It's only a fair exchange.

Angrily Paul shouts out "that's enough!"

PAUL: You don't get to bargain. What you're gonna do is you're gonna shut your mouth and you're gonna keep it shut if you have any sense of self- preservation whatsoever. But understand this, you've made an enemy. One who will never, ever give up. So whether you're in jail or out… I'm there! You are done!

Eden looks rather scared at what Paul has just said to him!!!

Lassiters Complex
As they leave the police station, Leo relays the message to Krista from Terese about Paul being missing. "I should go find him," he says to her but she doesn't think so especially given what he's just done.

The pair are then interrupted by Andrew running to catch up with them, to inform them that Eden has escaped! Neither can understand it, especially as Eden was being guarded by the police. Andrew confirms that he was but doesn't have the full story over what has happened.

LEO: (to Krista) We need to get you to safety. I'll alert hotel security and get extra resources.

Andrew rushes back to the station with a promise to update Leo once he knows more.

Number 28
Having turned down going for a walk with Karl, Melanie opts for some housekeeping instead and doing a spot of dusting. She picks up the photo of the very young Toadie and Susan, given it a dust before making her way over to the kitchen. Melanie then receives an unwanted visitor who enters the house unannounced - Eden!

When the door slams shut, she thinks its Karl but quickly discovers that its Eden. "What are you doing here?" she naturally asks and given the pain we can see he is in, Eden replies with "I need your help." "I'm not helping you!" she tells him and goes to her phone to summon help but he orders her to stop and threatens her with a scalpel.

Melanie puts her phone down and moves away from the counter.

MELANIE: I'm not letting you do this Eden. You killed my friend!
EDEN: You are going to help me!
