Andrew and Wendy are more than enjoying their time away from Ramsay Street.

Number 22
Toadie finds out from Karl why Melanie was upset but she's got the pain meds now from Remi, so is all good.

The Waterhole
Over drinks with David, Aaron and Jane, Leo explains the marking on his face - having a fight with a barrel at the vineyard. Talk then changes to Krista when David gets a text to say she is checking out of rehab tomorrow. Everyone thinks its too soon and adding in her dad's funeral, it might prove too much for her.

The quartet warmly greet Elly and Chloe when they enter the bar but on hearing that they are engaged, cue hugs and congratulations all round. Leo heads off to organise the bubbles and the question is barely out before (the also newly arrived) Susan is saying yes to being their celebrant, describing it as "an honour." She is surprised though to hear they want the nuptials done soon as in very soon, between Christmas and New Year.

Number 22 (next day)
Happy 15th birthday Nell and she loves the wrestling t- shirt which Terese gave her.

Lassiters hotel
Terese is caught red- handed by Paul as she uses her hotel's pastry chef to get a cake made for Nell's birthday.

The place is then thrown into darkness briefly through a power outage but the hotel generators kick in so the power is restored... unlike we hear in Ramsay Street where it too has the power outage, so Terese reminds Toadie to keep the fridge closed to preserve the party food.

Number 22
Terese is back but the power is still out so looks like Nell's party might have be rescheduled.

The beach
The Rodwell's are full of sympathy at hearing (via Terese) about the power cut back home.

Number 22
Via his phone, Toadie provides the family with an update - apparently 300 homes have been affected and the power company is working hard to restore the power but are unsure when that might happen.

NELL: Guess that's it then, no party.

The beach
While acknowledging that it's meant to be their time away, Wendy wants to help Nell have her party.

Number 22
Paul drops round to invite them to use one of the hotels function suites for Nell's party since it has power thanks to the generator. However a better offer comes in... Wendy calls and is suggesting that they hold the party down at the beach. Nell is so up for a beach party, so Terese accepts on behalf of the family.

Number 28
Toadie and Terese drop round to tell the K's about the party being relocated, however even though they want to attend, they feel they can't leave Melanie alone. Melanie overhears them turning the invite down and comes out to reassure them that she will be fine by herself. Karl isn't backing down, so Toadie is the one to come up with a compromise - inviting Melanie to the party. Melanie feels that her presence will make folk uncomfortable, but Terese is sure everyone can manage to be civil for Nell's benefit.

Rodwell's beach house
The Rodwell's let the party guests into their temporary home although Wendy is surprised to see Melanie there but welcomes her in just like the others.

After the kids head off to the beach, Wendy asks Terese about the extra guest, so she explains about the K's not wanting her to be home alone. Wendy praises Terese (and Toadie) over how they are handling the situation although it is somewhat a bit tense, so much so, that Toadie decides to go check up on the kids just to get away.

Lassiters Complex
Sitting outside at Harold's, Elly and Chloe are planning their wedding - they decide on Erinsborough as the venue as it's the most convenient location for everyone to get to. Both are relived to be planning their future, Elly so she can be there for Chloe.

The beach
Melanie has followed Toadie down to the beach and they talk about what happened yesterday. While Melanie acknowledges she was in pain, the tears were also due to her not handing being in #30. Toadie gets where she is coming from, tell her about his freak out moment after finding the leftover confetti.

TOADIE: It brought up a lot of emotions that I've been trying to forget.
MELANIE: (nodding her head) That's a good way of putting it. I've been trying to forget things too. I'm not sure I'm doing a great job of it.

Someone has also decided to come to the beach but is staying in the background - Terese and she doesn't seem too happy at Toadie and Melanie sitting next to one another. Indeed, it's a sad looking Terese who then about turns and heads back to the Rodwell's house.

Melanie asks how Terese is handling everything and Toadie replies that she wants what's best for him and the kids.

TOADIE: She is my best friend as well as my wife. And I could not have got through this last year without her.
MELANIE: You're both very lucky.
TOADIE: We work hard at it. We promised each other that we would always be honest, even if it is hard. That's what's got us through a lot.

Rodwell's beach house
Susan is surprised to see Terese come home earlier than expected, but she lies over the real reason why she returned - unsure if she put the oven on or not.

Moments later, Melanie and Toadie also arrive back in the house. Karl can spot Melanie is tired, so immediately goes to check her out. Toadie heads to the kitchen, curious to know why Terese didn't join them and she lies to him too, using the excuse of feeling guilty leaving while the others organised the food. Whether he can sense she's lied or not, Toadie invites her to take a walk with him and almost reluctantly, she agrees.

The beach
As they make their way from the house to the beach, Toadie comes clean and admits to Terese that he has been holding things back from her. He explains that was to protect her but then realises it also meant he shut her out too, which is "not what I want to do." Terese reminds him that he can talk to her and with that, he comes clean about his moment and for a second he was back there.

TOADIE: I know that all of these emotions that are coming up, that is not what I want. It's just an echo from my past life. Does that make sense?
TERESE: (nodding) Yeah.
TOADIE: This doesn't change how I feel about you Terese. I love you so much.

Terese explains that she isn't upset, she is actually relieved. This puzzles Toadie so he asks why? She then admits to coming to the beach earlier and saw him talking to Melanie where he "looked so..." Terese can't get the words, out, so Toadie stops her, sorry that she "felt that way" but reassures her that they were just talking.

TERESE: I know. We haven't been.
TOADIE: No more holding back. I promise.

After a nod of heads by them both as he said those last couple of words, the pair tenderly kiss each other before hugging one another.

Its fun and games... well cricket on the beach with the kids, Toadie, Terese and Andrew.

Lassiters Complex
Paul offers Elly and Chloe his congratulations on hearing about their engagement. They ask if Lassiters has anything available to hire and he gives them the use of the Grand Ballroom and it's a freebie too for the help Chloe has given him.

Rodwell's beach house
After a rendition of 'happy birthday to you', Nell cuts her birthday cake.

Melanie is feeling the occasion and moves from the island to where the seating is. Karl follows a her and checks how her pain is. The pain is okay and she admits to feeling "very lucky" to being part of the celebrations. As she says that, she turns round and spots Toadie kissing Terese, so Karl's comment of "it's not easy is it," seems to almost catch her out.

MELANIE: I thought I was saving him from being dragged into my mess but I hurt him so badly and I'll never forgive myself for the pain I've caused Nell and Hugo.

Karl chastises her for being "way too hard on yourself" but she doesn't seem to agree.

The Waterhole
Both Leo and David are nervous about seeing Krista, worried over what state she is going to be in. David is also nervous about whether he can help her or not but Leo dishes out the brotherly advice to reassure him he will do fine.

After ignoring the boys on the way in, Paul is surprised to see Aaron behind the bar, so is told about helping Wendy out. Aaron is fulfilling the barman's role not just in serving Paul his whisky but by listening to him unload his woes - Terese turning down the offer of holding Nell's party in the hotel.

AARON: You can't blame Terese for being wary, can you? You do have a habit of using peoples obligations against them!
PAUL: I hope this isn't a permanent job because you're a terrible barman!

Well David has no fear about how Krista is after her stint in the rehab clinic from the way she struts into the bar! Just about every guy's head turns to look at her!!
