Karl is trying to broker peace.
MAL: You're putting me in an impossible situation.
SUSAN: Now you know how it feels.
MAL: Mum I love you and hope you change your mind. But if you're asking me to make a choice now I choose Izzy.
Mal leaves as Susan looks devastated.
No.30
Toadie has sorted out the Riverbend paperwork for Glen and Terese. Yashvi has sorted out tables and chairs for the Reception from Lassiter's.
MELANIE: Do you think we've got enough?
YASHVI: Big enough when you're trying to hide something.
Yashvi has sorted out permission from the council for their street party. Melanie suggests a dance. Melanie wants a special dance, Toadie awkwardly explains that Sonya and he did exactly that. Melanie wants some surprises for Toadie at the Reception. A seamstress is finishing off the dress Amy made and Melanie is still happy to wear it. She is happy to have the party on the street after marrying Joe in the No.26 Backyard.
YASHVI: I never thought about how much went on here until I left.
TOADIE: Are you missing it Vi?
YASHVI: Not the drama.

Aaron realises that David is looking at New York Apartments on his phone. David admits he's up for a fresh start. David thinks now that Kiri is moving to Riverbend Nicolette might be open to moving as well. David thinks that Leo and Abi might join them. Aaron has found a site that doesn't have broker fees and admits to getting a valuation for The Shed. Aaron doesn't Nicolette would move because of Jane.
Nicolette and Jane arrive. Nicolette is having a go at Jane about Byron's reason for leaving for Cape Town. Jane thinks she's got Byron's best interests at heart. Nicolette points out that she left because Nell wouldn't approve.
NICOLETTE: You make it very hard for us to be around you and I don't blame Byron for wanting to escape to the other side of the world.
Jane shakes her head at Mrs Mangel's portrait as David and Aaron look at each other.
No.22
Paige is happy to sell No.22 on Terese's behalf. She is surprised that someone else wants to sell their house. Kiri gets a call from Leo. Kiri and Glen have both booked The Vineyard Function Room without checking with the other. They promise to sort it out the next day. Leo isn't impressed as they have been focusing on Riverbend. Kiri and Glen look guilty.
No.28 / Hotel Room
Karl is pacing and looks at the portrait of his children. Susan comes out of the bedroom and things are strained between them. As Karl talks Mal and Izzy fall into bed together.
KARL: I appreciate the situation with Izzy is difficult.
SUSAN: Every situation with Isabelle is difficult. Now it involves our son.
Karl doesn't think it was right to give Mal an ultimatum and should go slowly. Karl thinks the ultimatum will make Mal, Izzy and Holly stay in the UK. Susan doesn't think it will work out, Karl points out it could work.
KARL: Are you prepared to lose your son because of Izzy? I'm not.
Ramsay Street
Paige has met up with Wendy in the rain and is surprised she wants a house valuation. Wendy explains the market is very hot right now. Wendy invites Paige in to have a look around.
Nicolette catches up with Kiri to complain about Jane. Kiri is sympathetic but needs to head off to work. Nicolette keeps going on about it but Kiri really needs to be at work. Kiri apologises for not being able to help right now and drives off.
The Waterhole
Lucy is telling Mark over the phone not to let Annie play video games for the whole flight to Australia. Lucy comes off the phone and Levi introduces her to Andrew and Wendy. Levi asks Lucy who was the most important person in Lucy's life when she lived here. Lucy tells them it was Helen.
There is a flashback of Lucy and Helen hugging in the back garden when she has recently returned.
Wendy is keen to meet Helen, Lucy has to explain that Helen died a few years back.
LUCY: She was the glue that held our family together.
Helen tells Lucy Jim is still the same after finding out Glen is his son.
LUCY: No matter what Gran was going through she always had time for me. I wouldn't be the woman I am today without her.
Helen comforts Lucy in the mid-nineties and reminds her she has tried her best in her career.
Lassiter's Lake
Melanie is looking at Sonya's tree as Yashvi walks along whilst she is on the phone to Toadie about wedding plans. Yashvi thinks she hangs up as she spots Melanie. Toadie still can hear her but Yashvi doesn't realise this.
Yashvi can see that Melanie is upset. Yashvi wants to know if Melanie is having second thoughts. That's not the case. It's the right place for Nell and Hugo plus her.
MELANIE: At what point do we put the past between us? Not just Toadie's but mine too. How do we get to create our own memories when we are surrounded by memories of other people?
Hotel Room
Mal opens the door to Karl and Susan who is expecting. Susan is grateful they agreed to this meeting. Susan apologises and knows she shouldn't have done that. She will respect his decision if he wants to be with Izzy and buy No.24
KARL: We both want you in our lives.
MAL: Thank you. It means a lot to me. To both of us.
IZZY: It's been a big adjustment for all of us.
Susan thinks things will ease.
Lassiter's Reception
Terese arrives and finds Paul standing by Josh and Doug's plaque. He goes to excuse himself. She thanks him instead for stipulating that the plaque won't be removed. Terese phoned Pam who is grateful as well. Paul is modest about it. He's getting ready to move to New York and hopes it works out. She realises he's missed his children. He's amazed they want him to move there.
PAUL: It's more than I expected or deserved. How are things going for Riverbend?
TERESE: Once I set my mind to something it's full steam ahead.
Paul realises Terese needs time by herself and moves off.
Ramsay Street
Yashvi finds Toadie staring at his house.
YASHVI: Lose your ball over the fence?!
Toadie laughs. Yashvi admits to sending the ball over on purpose so she could go to No.30 instead of hers. Toadie admits he heard her talking to Melanie. Yashvi thinks they can work things out. Toadie wryly notes Yashvi likes communicating since reuniting with Ned. Toadie has been here nearly 25 years and so many memories right here. He should have thought of Melanie's memories as well.
TOADIE: Is it a good idea to start married life surrounded by all that?
Outside The Waterhole
Nicolette arrives and Kiri apologises for having to rush off that morning. Nicolette starts talking about Jane as Jane arrives. Jane reminds her that Isla might be doing the same thing one day. Nicolette is seriously considering moving to New York! Kiri tentatively suggests it could work out well for Nicolette. Nicolette thinks it would be wrong to break up but should let each other pursue their own path, Kiri agrees.
No.32
Aaron shows David a property on his phone which is close to the family in New York. Leo realises they're seriously considering this. Nicolette arrives home.
DAVID: How do you feel about moving to New York?
NICOLETTE: I thought you'd never ask.
Nicolette has cleared things with Kiri and Jane can visit them in New York. David, Aaron and Nicolette all laugh and hug in agreement.

Terese arrives home to an empty house. She gets a cold drink from the fridge and goes back and in her head sees Paul sitting on the sofa. She takes some Riverbend paperwork from the table and looks at it. She starts crying as Glen arrives home unnoticed.
Hotel Room
It's the next day and Izzy and Mal are sharing strawberries on the bed. Mal is pleased how things worked out with his Mum. Izzy thinks it's right Susan apologised after what happened. Mal wants to look at No.24 and make an offer. Mal goes to take a shower.
Izzy answers a knock at the door to find someone has left a small bag outside the door. It's a card from Shane inviting her to dinner and giving her his number. There is also a small blue car in the bag. Mal invites Izzy into the shower.
Ramsay Street
Paige thanks Theo for sorting things out, he's happy to do so after his mistake the week before.
Toadie brings Melanie outside blindfolded. He takes the blindfold off to reveal he's put No.30 up for sale. He wants to start afresh making new memories as Melanie cries happy tears. He wants to do this and they kiss.
Susan and Karl come onto the Street to find all of the houses except theirs are up for sale. They look at each other in shock and stare stunned around the Street.
Celebrating Neighbours
- Toadie is delighted when Joel returns.
- Jane blames Paul for Nicolette moving away.
- Paul tells Jane she's responsible for that.
- Roxy and Kyle return.
- Roxy wants to know if there is anything between Paul and Terese.
