Rippon Lea
Aaron and David can't believe what Leo has suggested. "It's the only thing that makes sense," he tries to explain to them, whereas David describes it as "ludicrous!" "You're her dad Leo," Aaron also reminds him with and while he "always will be," Leo wants them "to be her parents."
LEO: I'm no good at this guys. And you both are, you're incredible Dads.
As if to 'sweeten the deal' he reminds that that they thought of Abi as their own before and is sure they can do so again.
LEO: Please say yes.
Rather than given an immediate answer, David suggests that they take a minute.
Number 30
Toadie is running through some suggestions Amy could cook in her food truck but given she admits to being "the worst cook ever" there aren't many options! However Toadie has a 'lightbulb moment' after sampling a cocktail Amy has made and suggests instead that she sells drinks. Amy loves his suggestion and is already thinking of what she can sell!
The Waterhole
Levi finishes up drinking with his cousin as he has a date with Freya lined up... in The Waterhole under Sheila's watchful eye, which gets him pelters from both Kyle and Roxy before he leaves.
Roxy is curious why Kyle is so keen on Levi being with Freya, and his rationale is that "she makes Levi happy." She reminds him about Freya's request to lie to Levi, something Roxy isn't ready to let go of.
ROXY: I don't trust her. I'm still getting a bad vibe off her.
KYLE: Babe, you're starting to give off bad vibes to everyone else.
Almost begging, Kyle asks her to "move on."
Harold's Café
Toadie has taken the kids (and Amy) out to celebrate the plan for Amy's new truck. Amy tells Ned about her plans and that they've got a name for the truck too - "The drinks deva". She wants Toadie to be her guinea pig to test some drink ideas out on, but he needs to go to work (the kids are going to the K#'s) and so suggests she uses Zara instead.
Rippon Lea
The boys have rightly told Nicolette about Leo's request as it involves her too. She is with David in wanting to give Leo more time, especially as he will still be living at #32.
DAVID: It's not like he's giving up completely.
Aaron wants them to say no, as he feels he will be the one having to sacrifice their work to spend the time at home raising the girls. [We hear Nicolette is going back to work part time.]
Meanwhile Chloe has been dispatched to talk to Leo and is also trying to get him to change his mind. "I have to do what's right for Abi," is his mantra and Chloe's interpretation of that is him "being with her." Leo tries to sell it as giving Abigail "stability" especially given the wee toot already knows them. Chloe tries to point out that Abigail is the only part of Britney he has left but he is very adamant at being "not cut out."
LEO: She deserves better and I'm going to make sure she gets it.
Lassiters Complex
As Levi and Freya make their way through the complex to The Waterhole for their date, they run into Nicolette. Levi does the intros but Nicolette feels like she knows Freya already, however Freya plays it down, suggesting instead she has "a familiar face." It then comes to Nicolette about Freya saying "how annoying Levi was," which causes him to look at her curiously. Maybe realising that she's put her foot in it, Nicolette can't leave the pair quick enough!
"That was weird," Levi comments and asks Freya about what Nicolette was saying but the camera leaves them and cuts over to The Waterhole instead where Roxy is pretending to change the noticeboard but really it's a rue to watch what is happening at the other side of the complex!
Of course Roxy gets caught spying by her husband although she calls it "observing!" Kyle suggests that she should spend time with Freya (alone) so she can actually get to know her and consequentially give her "another chance."
Number 32
Aaron has read the same book so many times to Isla that he's now making up his own ending, when David comes into the bedroom catches him out.
Naturally talk then turns to Leo's request and Aaron wonders why Leo doesn't ask Britney's parents to help. David would rather not get them involved in case it "leads to custody issues later on." Being honest, David thinks he knows why Aaron is really saying no - it is bringing back the bad memories from having to give Abigail up before but adds that this time "it isn't the same."
DAVID: My brother and our niece needs us and I don't want to let them down.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Leo tries to give Abigail a bottle but the wee toot is out for the count. He holds her hand instead and gets very emotional - it could be due to the song playing over the scene though (In the dark)!
Freya's place (next day)
As she exits her home to get the mail, Freya is very much surprised to see Roxy on her doorstep. Roxy explains Levi passed on her address and since she was nearby, though she'd stop by to invite Freya out for coffee so they can "hang out." Freya does seem shocked at what has been suggested.
ROXY: If you're going to date a Canning, I need to get to know you better. We come as a package deal!
Eventually Freya agrees and goes to lock the house up and get her stuff.
Ramsay Street
Amy is after a guinea pig to sample her test juice mocktails. Initially she tries Chloe but she's in a rush to get to work so tries instead Terese who has popped home to get more clothes. While she does sample one (and give the thumbs up) she is in a rush (to get back to Paul) so can't help out more.
Lassiters car park
Roxy and Freya have bonded with each other while out shopping. They pair are now heading to the complex, when Freya has a double take at a guy sitting on the bench. "Gareth" Freya suddenly calls out and heads towards him, but it's a case of mistaken identity. After apologising to the innocent guy, Freya explains to Roxy who she thought it was. The incident has really shaken Freya up and she can't get away quick enough leaving Roxy very confused but equally curious!
Number 32
Aaron and David give Leo the good news that they will take responsibility for Abigail. "You have no idea how much this means to me," Leo replies and given Aaron has had to give up his job (a manager is going to cover his role), offers to cover them financially for the cost. Before they can talk more though, Leo breaks their chat to go take a call with a supplier much to their annoyance.
Seconds later Toadie (and Nicolette) enters the kitchen bearing gifts - some old toys of Hugo's that he is passing onto them for the girls... well bar a teddy due to the bad vibes! He is curious why and gets from the trio the story of what Jane did.
Number 22
Leo calls round to tell Glen of the deal he's done with a supplier and after thanking him, lets Glen know he won't need to step up so much because Aaron and David will be raising Abigail. Glen is stunned to hear this and tells his boss to "hire a nanny" to allow him to concentrate on his work. Leo explains his rationale - Abigail will be looked after "by people who know and love her" plus David and Aaron "are the best parents you could ask for."
GLEN: But they're not hers.
LEO: Abi's better off without me okay. This is the best option for her.
Ramsay Street
Ned has roped Harlow into helping him with something, but first he has to turn down being chief taster for the recipes Amy has come up with. He can see she is unhappy but promises to come over when they return.
Amy spots Toadie coming out of #32 and wants not know why nobody is wanting to taste her concoctions? His suggestion is that perhaps it's something to do with how she is dressed - her clothes are covered in stains and she even has bits of banana in her hair! Toadie promises to be chief taster once she tidies herself up and to let her in on the juicy gossip he got from #32!
Number 26
The newly weds arrive home and Kyle wishes his wife had bonded with Freya more cheaply given what she spent while shopping! Roxy is suss about Gareth and Freya's reactions, but Kyle isn't at all interested in what she is saying and accuses his wife of "looking for dirt."
ROXY: There's something off!
KYLE: ...
ROXY: Fine, don't believe me, I'm just your wife!
Number 32
"You're doing great," Aaron is assured after day 1 of being responsible for both girls. Nicolette adds in she will ease his load too by looking after Isla when she isn't working. David is sure too once a routine is synched for the girls, things will be easier plus its only going to be for a couple of weeks until Abigail helps Leo "see sense."
Leo arrives back home and then drops a bombshell - he is moving out to the penthouse so that his presence at home doesn't confuse Abigail!
Freya's place
Roxy comes calling by again but this time instead of the dress she had on earlier, she's dressed like a cat burglar! She looks almost delighted to see that nobody is home after calling out "Freya," as well as ringing the doorbell, knocking on the door and trying the handle too. Given Roxy is dressed as a cat burglar, she then looks for a way to get inside the house, eventually gaining access via an open window.
Once inside the house, Roxy starts to look around and is just beginning to look through Freya's handbag when Freya suddenly appears from behind! Freya shoves Roxy to the floor and pins her there by sitting on her and goes into the handbag for the HUGE knife!
