- Amy asking to pay for the food truck on her credit cards.
- Amy admitting she's just made the biggest mistake of her life!
- Ned finding Amy unconscious beside her food truck.
- Karl ordering Amy to have complete rest when she's discharged.
- Ned wanting to still be there for Amy.
- Kyle coming up with a plan on how to deal with Harlow.
- Harlow letting a glass fall to the floor and it smashes.
- Nicolette, David and Aaron trying to come up with a plan no how to deal with Leo.
- Leo refusing David's help... until he asks for it.
- Abigail falling from the couch to the floor while Leo is on a call.
Thankfully for Leo, just as he is starting to fret, David (and the others) arrive home and he immediately starts to check Abigail over. David is confident that there are no broken bones, but wants some X-rays done to make sure, so he carries bubs out of the house, followed by Leo and Aaron.
Ned arrives to visit Amy only to find that she's discharged herself - telling him (and Toadie) that she can lie in her bed at home popping the same pills. She also admits that she's stressed out over the food truck (Toadie's taken it to the garage to be checked over) and has to start planning.
AMY: My life is a mess and I need to sort it out.
Realising that she is adamant about going home, the guys give in and Ned offers to drive her home because Toadie has a date on Ramsay Street... for a game of cricket!
It is decided to be boys (Kyle, Levi, Hendrix, Toadie and Hugo) v girls (Roxy, Freya, Sheila and Nell subbing in for Mackenzie) for the Ramsay Street cricket match. Given the girls are one down, Mackenzie plans to give Harlow a call to see if she wants to play.
Despite Aaron telling him he isn't to blame, Leo is very much blaming himself, but its good news - other than some bruising, Abigail will be fine, they just need to watch her carefully for the next 24 hours.
Toadie, suitably dressed in his cricket outfit, delivers the first ball to Nell who gets a run. Freya is run out... so the boys say but to their annoyance, Mackenzie the umpire overrules them and Freya lives to bat another day!
Amy is home from the hospital and Ned leaves her propped up on the sofa (she wanted him away before Zara came home). However he's barely out the door when she makes a beeline for the fridge and is caught red handed when he unexpectedly comes back in as he'd a feeling she wouldn't stay put! She explains that she wants to get planning on the food truck and has come up with the idea of serving pancakes. Ned likes her idea and given Amy won't do as she's told and rest, offers to stay and be her sous chef until she masters the perfect pancake.
Commercial break later and its pancake central as the pair work together... however there is something wrong with the recipe Amy used as neither of them like the first batch made! It then dawns on Amy that the kids said they loved them (she never sampled them)... but always disappeared outside to eat them where they obviously fed them to the birds.
NED: Poor birds!
Amy is distraught at her plan going down the plughole. Ned reassures her that they can come up with another plan... which isn't the pair of them pashing when they get very close to one another! Tactfully, Ned decides he'd better leave although does say he will think of another plan for her.
Number 32/The vineyard
In the panic over what happened with Abigail, Leo left his phone lying where it fell on the floor and its Jane who answers it - its Glen calling. She explains that he can't talk to Leo as he's at the hospital, then goes onto tell him about Abigail's accident. Glen looks concerned for his boss, so asks Jane to pass the message on that he's got things resolved and will call back later.
Whatever Amy's next idea for the food truck is, it's not working either as she's burnt what was cooking in the oven! Amy is very frustrated but because of her ribs, can't fully vent her frustration.
Mackenzie won't get umpire of the year from the boys after she calls Levi out much to the annoyance of his teammates! In desperation, Hendrix tries to bribe Mackenzie with a night of being pampered... and $50! However whether its deliberate or not, she isn't paying attention when Sheila next bowls and Kyle is out!
Ned comes out to see how it's going and since Freya is there too, asks how the search for her cousin is going. This of course is news to the overhearing Levi and he wants to know what she is on about, however his question is met by silence back.
Abigail is home (along with the others) from hospital and with much reluctance, she is handed over to David to allow Leo to get some much rest.
After Leo heads to his room, Aaron has a quiet word with David - he's agreeing with what David said that if Leo can't sort things out on his own soon, they will need to step in.
Freya explains that her cousin took off a few months ago and because her uncle is cut up, she volunteered to search for him. She confirms Roxy's question that she believes the cousin is nearby.
After Ned tactfully moves away, Levi shows his displeasure at Ned knowing the real reason why she is in town, but not him. Freya explains why that is the case - the scarf found in the rubble is her cousins, and she discovered Ned wearing it in the wedding photos, and thus questioned him. Levi is curious why he, as a policeman, couldn't do the searching... except it appears the cousin hasn't been reported as missing! Freya does apologise for not saying anything, she didn't want to be "a downer" given how good things have been between them. Levi accepts her apology and offers her his services if she changes her mind.
Harlow watches on from inside as the cricket game resumes. Ned has gone inside and questions why she didn't want to play, and her explanation is she was just popping home to get a folder for Terese.
Suddenly there is some screaming outside (Roxy caught Hendrix's shot to get him out) and Harlow seems to react to it - pulling back from the window and quickly grabbing the folders that's lying on the table. She reassures Ned that she is fine, but he thinks otherwise and takes the stuff from her before telling her to sit down and tell him "what's going on."
HARLOW: I don't really know how to put it into words. These last few weeks, I've... I've felt invincible.
NED: That was the compassion fatigue thought right?
HARLOW: Mmm. I really liked not caring.
NED: And now?
HARLOW: That night, I went up to the penthouse and I was getting ready for bed and I looked out of the window and I just heard a huge crash. Screams. All the people I loved were in there. I couldn't bare the thought of losing someone so close to me again. It hurt so much and the emotional floodgates just opened and I can't close them.
Ned knows how she feels, having been there courtesy of Scarlett and didn't want to treat his PTSD because he didn't want to remember.
NED: I just tried to outrun the emotions.
HARLOW: But you can't.
NED: No. In the end I had to face them head on.
He warns Harlow that "it's rough" but tells her what got him through - "talking to the people I trust... like you're doing." Ned hopes that she continues to talk.
NED: We're family Harls. I'll always be there for you, whenever you need me.
The cricket match is over and it would appear that the girls did win from how Freya and Levi are bantering with each other as they subtly get to know each other. Given they are standing very close to each other, Levi goes to kiss Freya but she pulls back. Levi is mortified at what he's done and Freya explains that she wants to take things slowly. "We can got as slow as you like," a very relieved Levi says back to her.
Glen arrives home from the vineyard and exchanges pleasantries with Ned. He tells Glen about the chat with Harlow and thinks, even if it might take a while, she's heading towards "a better place."
Leo comes through to the empty kitchen for a snack but becomes emotional when he looks at the sofa and remembers what happened earlier.
Toadie (and the kids) stop by to check how Amy is going and can't but miss the mess the kitchen is in and asks if she had a food fight all by herself!
AMY: I've made a mess of it. I've made a huge stinking mess.
Seeing that Amy is upset, he ropes the kids into helping clean the place up by making a game of it. With the kids busy in the kitchen, Toadie sits next to the crying Amy and pulls her in for a hug.
Freya and Levi are getting on like a house on fire with each other, so she takes the opportunity to thank him for being "so cool" over her wanting to take things slow. "You don't have to thank me for that," he replies especially as he likes what they've "got going on."
LEVI: Whatever happens, happens, right?
Realising he's been name, Levi heads to the bar to get them more drinks. Freya heads to her bag to get her lipstick and when she opens it, we can't but miss the HUGE dagger type knife she has in there!
