Number 32
Nicolette explains to her housemates about moving into #24 to take care of Fay, but that she will still continue to pay her rent for #32. Aaron wishes they could have managed as a family, admitting that it stings to hear his mum say she doesn't want family help. Both Aaron and David are worried about the stress Nicolette will be under moving into the house, but she reassures them that she is "a big girl" and thus can cope. She also reassures them that it was Chloe who asked for her help and after Jane brought it up, there is "fat chance" of Chloe forgiving her.
Number 24
Brent helps Nicolette move her stuff over to #24 and she teases the lad he won't notice she's gone since he's spending so much time with Harlow! "We're just friends," he protests, which Nicolette doesn't believe however before they can dispute that, Fay (and Chloe) arrive in the living room and Nicolette does the intros.
Once Brett leaves, Nicolette goes to unpack her stuff but Fay wants them all to go outside to get some fresh air and isn't taking a "no" from anyone!
Number 28
Jane drops round to chat about the Year 13 plan with Susan. Susan is very impressed with the proposal and she is all for it happening. The pair then try to come up with a strategy to engage both Brent and Hendrix in their plan.
Harold's café
Harlow and Mackenzie are discussion which Uni clubs to join when Hendrix interrupts to try and join in the conversation but Harlow gives him some short shrift, being told to look at the Uni website rather than chat with them!
The Waterhole
Kyle pops over to say hello to Fay when she spots her (along with Nicolette and Chloe) sitting at a table. She is sorry to hear about his woes with the tram and reassures him he'll come up with a new plan. Kyle is grateful for her words and invites her to come round and meet Gary the pigeon before head heads off.
As they've finished up their coffees, Nicolette isn't too amused to discover that Chloe has already paid, as she wanted to buy them. "Let's not quibble over a few dollars," Fay interjects to stop the squabbling from getting any further.
Number 28
Susan is trying to sell Hendrix the Year 13 idea and tells him that both she (and Jane) think he'd get a lot out of their proposal. "No way," is Hendrix's initial response after she gets to the final bit (that the proposal is only for Brent and himself) plus since he isn't into vocational training, Hendrix adds it's just "the same subjects, different setting."
HENDRIX: What do I need flexibility for? My social life?! Your programme sounds good, it does, but not good enough for me to be study buddies with Brent.
Number 32
"It's going to be a nightmare," is Brent's initial thought after Jane puts the Year 13 proposal to him.
JANE: A nightmare would be letting your personal issues interfere with your education.
Brent quickly backtracks, his comments were aimed at Hendrix, he himself, can't wait to get signed up to the programme!
Number 24
Over a family dinner, Chloe is happy to hear that Fay has been able to keep up with her reading after Piper introduced her mum to audio books. Despite Chloe's grumbles, Fay wants to make a start on her bucket list and first on the plan is life drawing! "I enjoy art. I appreciate the male form," is Fay's justification for her selection after the others weren't exactly keen on her doing this! Aaron agrees to get the supplies, leaving Chloe to find a model while Nicolette is roped in to be Fay's hands!
The Waterhole
Mackenzie and Harlow are still talking Uni clubs and unlike with Hendrix earlier, Brent is allowed to chat clubs with them!
Hendrix arrives in the bar and this time the girls briefly allow him to talk clubs... that is before Brent drags Harlow away to look at the books he's bought, which earns him the 'evil eye' look from Hendrix as they move away to another part of the bar!
When they get a chance to talk privately, Mackenzie warns Hendrix about his "stalky vibes." She also warns him, after he made a comment about Harlow and Brent chatting, that Harlow can hang out with whoever she wants. "Still doesn't mean I have to like it," he replies, while (from a distance) giving another 'evil eyed' look to Harlow and Brent as she hears from him Jane's Year 13 idea.
Number 28
Susan quickly hides a recently bought copy of Olivia's book about Finn as Hendrix arrives home unexpectedly early and without the food. Hendrix explains who he ran into at the bar and thus why he didn't stick around for their dinner, so since it's just going to be the two of them, he decides to concoct them a pasta dinner using a few basic ingredients there is on hand.
Susan is very impressed at the lad's ingenuity and has a brainwave over how Hendrix and do Year 13, especially given the room they plan to use is a former Home Economics one! "I guess it wouldn't be the worst," is Hendrix's nonchalant acceptance of her idea, however he still moans about having to put up with Brent. Susan decides its time for a bit of a lecture to him!
SUSAN: Oh for heaven's sakes Hendrix! If you're going to let him stop you doing something that you would really enjoy, that's your choice... but I can't believe you'd let someone you barely know have so much power over you!
Number 24
The family (and Nicolette) are trying to plan a trip to Daylesford, or in Nicolette's case, uninvite herself from the trip, but Fay makes it clear that isn't an option, she is going! There is through a hiccup with the live model painting session because the model has double booked himself, so Chloe heads off to get hold of a replacement.
While Chloe is trying to organise a replacement, and Nicolette has nipped out of the house, Aaron tries to have a subtle word with his mum about how involved Nicolette is in things. "I can see what's going on," Fay says to him having already sussed out the connection between Chloe and Nicolette. Its Aaron's turn to play dumb now, by insisting there is nothing going on between Nicolette and Chloe, pointing out that if there were, "why would they hide it from us?"
FAY: Because of the way I left things the last time. I told Nicolette to back off, but now the situations changed and if the girls can find happiness together, I want that for them.
The Waterhole
Harlow declares that she wants to be Brent's official tutor so that he can get better. Mackenzie backs her friend up by saying that plenty of kids (not just the struggling ones) turn to tutors to give themselves an edge. Despite not being too enthusiastic about it, Brent agrees to Harlow's plan.
Harold's café
When Kyle was chatting to Fay earlier, he said for her to ask if she needed anything from him... so Nicolette is calling in that favour on behalf of Fay, by asking Kyle to be the model! Kyle isn't exactly keen on helping, but Nicolette is turning the emotional thumbscrews and with the lure of using something tasteful to protect his modesty, Kyle eventually gives in.
Number 32 (next day)
"One less thing to tick off my list," Fay says as everyone is gathered in the backyard awaiting the model. We hear that Chloe has picked out some suitably props to protect his modesty, should Kyle want to use one of them! Wearing Aaron's cowboy hat on his head rather on his nether region, Kyle comes out of the house and removes the dressing gown Chloe also provided for him.
KYLE: Alright, let's get started! Less talking, more drawing! Where do you want me?
Chloe points Kyle to where he has to be (on one of the sun loungers) and we see indeed that Kyle is dressed, hat aside, in his birthday suit!
NICOLETTE: What happened to keeping some of the mystery alive?
KYLE: I didn't see much point, half of you have seen me starkers anyways so welcome to the club!
NICOLETTE: I can say with absolute certainty, that's not on my bucket list!
Kyle checks with how he is set up and offers to go get the fruit bowl if Fay is offended.
FAY: We didn't get you here, so I could draw a pineapple!
Erinsborough High
"Welcome to the first day of Year 13," Jane enthusiastically says to try and gee up the students... all 2 of them as they sit in their newly converted classroom! Hendrix is at one end at his workbench (complete with a gas hob) while Brent has a table with a sewing machine on it.
Susan joins in with the enthusiasm, telling the boys they will get a lot out of it before they almost plead with the boys to work collaboratively! They are also warned to behave as a visit from The Department is impending so that they can secure funding to make Year 13 a permanent feature of the school.
The teachers are barely out the room before the boys start to taunt one another! Brent walks over to Hendrix's station and spots the knifes sitting in the knife block.
BRENT: Careful you don't cut yourself with these mate. There's some big boy knives there.
HENDRIX: Says the looser who carries one around to feel like a big man.
Going and sitting back at his station, Brent taunts Hendrix over what he is making first [Brent is making a set of oven gloves while Hendrix is making a cheese soufflé].
BRENT: A cheese toastie?
HENDRIX: Soufflé. Something you wouldn't know how to cook, spell or pronounce!
Number 32
Thankfully the drawings, well Fay's one at least, is more aspect than detailed when we see them! Everyone bursts out laughing when Fay asks if they should frame the drawing and present it to Sheila! "You're terrible," Nicolette jokingly says to Fay!
NICOLETTE: (to Chloe) Honestly, your mum is so evil!
CHLOE: You said it like it was a revelation!
In the background Aaron and David are confused over whether to fill Fay in properly about Nicolette or not, and what the consequences if that happening might be - Chloe finding out what her mum is now thinking and kicking Nicolette out of the house and the issues that then will lead to. In the end they decide that since everyone had a great time at the live drawing session, the boys are going to keep quiet to avoid "rocking the boat."
Erinsborough High
Hendrix's soufflé hasn't turned out as expected (the wrong dish used for starters!) and so accuses Brent of tampering with the oven. "I did," Brent replies and explains he needed to touch something to check his oven gloves worked!
HENDRIX: You are scum!
"You're softer than your soufflé," Brent hecklings Hendrix back with and in a fit of anger, Hendrix throws the bowl at him... which thankfully misses Brent and smashes once it lands on the floor.
BRENT: You're a psycho!
"What's going on here?" Jane asks on hearing the disturbance but in her haste to get into the classroom, she's not seen the uncooked soufflé on the floor and thus slips on it as soon as she comes into contact with it, landing heavily on the ground.
